Sally Jackson was not planning to take that trip to England.

The young woman actually never wanted to go there, much less with the risk of putting her young son in the danger that was an airplane. But she couldn't ignore the strange dreams she had about coming there. In the dreams she was in London and a dog was leading her all around London until they found a strange dragon on one street. Don't get her wrong, Sally was never an impulsive person, but her dreams seemed like a message from someone, so she had to go on this trip. After all, Poseidon told her once that dreams could be premonitions of things to come and that gods can call mortals through their dreams.

So after praying like crazy for weeks to Poseiden and whatever other gods she could think of. She often returned to Hermes, since he was the god of travels and a very helpful man. She hoped doing this would be so that Zeus wouldn't find out about them and blast them out of the sky, she booked the shortest flight to England.

Sally spent the flight praying while holding her son's hand. Three-year-old Percy Jackson didn't seem to be aware of the danger he was in, so he was still his bubbly and hyperactive self, not sitting still the whole flight. As soon as they landed, Sally nearly kissed the ground while her son was running around the airport after hours of sitting down, which was torturous for the poor ADHD boy.

After settling down in a small cheap hotel, she took Percy on a walk to look for the street from her dreams. After looking for an hour, she was starting to give up on the dream meaning something. After all, not all dreams are premonitions and it could just be a coincidence that she had this dream multiple times. However, she decided to give the street one final look. After turning down a road it looked very familiar and she decided to look around.

The street was very dark and poorly lit, but she could still see a small form over there. Curiously, she tugged the very hyperactive Percy Jackson along as she got closer to the form. Once she could see them properly, she gasped. Curled inside a little pink blanket was a small baby. Without thinking, she lifted her up from the sidewalk and held her protectively just like the mother she is.

With the baby a little closer, she and Percy got a better look at the baby, who was still soundly asleep. Sally smiled softly, remembering how her son had just like that as a baby. The baby, who she noticed was a girl, had fiery orange hair and cute flushed cheeks. Percy was the first to notice the lightning-shaped scar on her forehead. Sally only noticed herself when she saw Percy try to touch Sally just barely noticed the slight orange glow around her and decided, very hesitantly, to ignore it for now. The health of the baby was more important right now.

"Mama?" Percy asked while Sally was checking the baby for any other injuries or anomaly other than her scar. "There's in the blanket, it has weird words… 'Wa dint weat teak froek'?"

"What is it, honey?" Sally asked gently took the paper from her dyslexic son who just barely started learning how to read. Sally had decided to start teaching Percy how to read as early as she possibly could, since it would be harder for Percy than the other kids. She immediately regretted ever reading the words written there.

"We don't want this FREAK."

Sally felt her blood boiling with anger. Who would ever call their children a freak? Much less such a healthy and beautiful baby as the one she was holding?

"Mama? Are you mad at me for not reading the big words right?" Percy asked not wanting to upset his mom. Percy's worried tone brought her out of her thoughts.

Sally nearly asked where he got this idea and then she realized she probably didn't have a very pleased expression or calm aura right now. So she gave her and Poseidon's son a comforting smile to calm down her son.

"No sweetie, mama is not mad at you." Sally said kneeling down and balancing the baby in her arms. "Mama is just mad because this baby's mama didn't want her."

Percy gasped, his sea-green eyes widening in horror.

"Can someone's mama really not want them?" The little boy asked with confusion in his voice.

"Yes, there are some very bad mamas who don't want their babies." She said sadly, holding the small baby a little tighter.

"But that's not fair to the baby!" Percy said angrily, his three-year-old mind not understanding how the baby's family could do something like this and have more sense than them. "We have to find this bad mama!"

"Yes." Sally said, frowning. "Yes, we have to."

"What do you mean you can't do anything?" Sally asked as calmly as she could to the English Police Officers.

"I'm sorry miss, but there is nothing we can do. There were no eye witnesses to the scene, no recorded footage of the event, and there are no missing person reports that match the description of this baby. I'm afraid that we can't do anything to help this baby other than to find the baby a new home," The officer apologized.

"Hey, maybe we can take the baby in, mama," Percy brought up to his mother.

"Wait, now hold on. I'm already having trouble paying for all that we have. I do want the baby to go to a good home, but I'm afraid that her place isn't with us," Sally apologized.

"Please, mommy. We can give her a good home. If her mommy didn't want her, then maybe we could give her the life she needs. I'll give up sweets and share my toys," Percy offered.

Sally looked at Percy and then at the baby multiple times, debating with herself whether or not to adopt the baby into her home. Like she said, she did want the baby to end up in a good home. However, she did have no idea if she could afford raising two children while taking care of herself as well. As she looked at the baby one last time, she looked into her blue ocean like eyes and was transfixed by them. In an instant, she knew what she had to do. "Where do I go to adopt this child?"

"Alright miss Jackson Just sign here and we will be all done."

Sally without hesitation signed the adoption papers.

"Alright now. All you need to do is name this little one."

She knew just what to name the baby. Percy and herself talked about it on the way here.

"Hestia. Her name will be Hestia," Sally said with a smile. They chose this name because as Hestia is the goddess of the hearth, the right ordering of domesticity, the family, the home, and the state. This baby will bring warmth to their home and complete their family.

She knew that it would be a hard road ahead of them but she'll just get used to it.
