Later that night, Hestia did all she could to convince her mother that she had nothing to do with the Boa Constrictor escaping. Thankfully, her mother seemed to believe her and the two went to bed without much trouble.
The following morning, Hestia and her mother picked up something to eat for breakfast from a nearby restaurant. They took it back to their hotel room to eat and enjoyed it fairly well. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, which Hestia's mother answered. On the other side was a letter for their room located on the floor, with an owl feather right next to the letter. However, instead of it being for either one of them, it was stated to be for Bloom Potter. Judging by the wrong name and the weird circumstances behind the letter, the two were suspicious, but ultimately decided it was just a coincidence.
For the next few days, however, they received more letters that were marked under Bloom Potter. Hestia and her mother never opened the letters, seeing as how it belonged to someone they didn't know and didn't want to get into trouble or interfere in someone else's business. One day, however, Hestia asked her mother, "Do you have any idea who this Bloom Potter is?"
"I don't know. Sorry," her mother answered, wishing she knew herself.
"Do you think that the letter could be for me? After all, the letters are still being sent since we didn't open it. Do you know what my birth name is?" Hestia asked.
"I don't know what your birth name is. Sorry, honey. The only note that was with you was the rejection letter. We may not be able to rule out the letter being for you, but I'm not sure if they truly are for you either."
"Maybe the next time a letter comes we see who leaves it. For all we know it could be for us. In fact, it could even have to do with me possibly being a demigod," Hestia suggested.
"Maybe. Let's try it," The mother agreed.
The next day…
Hestia woke up early in the morning so she wouldn't miss the delivery of the letter. She even ignored breakfast for the time being. Eventually, she saw an owl arrive, leave a letter, and then knock before flying away. She tried to stop the owl before he left only for the owl to escape before she could try talking to it or leaving a letter for it. Feeling sad, Hestia sat down to eat breakfast. Before she could eat, she heard another knock on the door. Upon opening it, she saw Percy on the other side of it.
"Percy! It's good to see you! Wait, what are you doing here?" Hestia was happy to see her brother, but was also concerned.
"It took some effort, but I was able to convince Chiron and Mr. D. as well as Annabeth to let me come and visit you guys," Percy explained. "If you're wondering how I got all the way to Europe, well Zeus owed me a favor for getting him back his bolt. Having your dad be one of the big three also helps."
Hestia happily hugged her brother. "It's so good to see you again. Hey, mom! Percy is here!"
"Really?" Their mom was surprised and happy to see her son here and she joined in on the hug. After a little while, the group continued their conversation.
"So, wait. You've been getting sent letters for someone called Bloom Potter?" Percy wanted to clarify.
"Yeah. I found out this morning that an owl is the one delivering the letters, though we had our suspicions before that," Hestia explained.
"We don't know if the letters are for us or if the sender is mistaken," Sally joined in.
"We wanted to know if it is possible if I am a demigod or not," Hestia said.
"Well I can probably Iris Message Annabeth, Chiron, and Mr. D. and see if they know, especially seeing as how Annabeth's mother's sacred animal is the owl," Percy offered.
One message later and they learned that Athena had nothing to do with the owl or at least it wasn't something she would do. After a thank you for the help and a promise to look into it a little more, the message ended.
"I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help," Percy apologized.
"That's okay. I just wish I knew what the letters were all about," Hestia said.
Over the next few days more letters came but her and Percy were never able to catch the owls. The letters still came even after they changed hotels. Annabeth hadn't Iris Messaged them with any new information. When Hestia looked at a new letter it was still addressed to Bloom Potter but had their new hotel room which kind of scared her. What if it was some monster. Percy assured her if it was a monster he would take care of it.
Later that night a storm raged on, Percy pretending that the booming thunder and flashing lightning didn't freak him out while Hestia pretended that she didn't notice, while they rested their heads next to each other. They couldn't really sleep, because the noise from the storm was getting louder.
BOOM! Alright, maybe that wasn't the storm. Everyone sat up Percy grabbing his pen uncapping it and turning it into its sword form and getting in a fighting stance. There was someone or something outside knocking at the door. In the middle of a thunderstorm. At midnight. What the Hades.
