Now in response to the previous chapter, I have been told that Principal Rivers was not very popular, but I only used her because due to her attire and preferred eating habits, she seemed like someone who would've been very familiar with the music of the 60's and hippie movement, and I didn't feel like creating a new character just for that. Also, I have edited the second chapter to differentiate between the two Lynn's.

Well, the next few days went on without much of a hitch. Luna was given some extra pillows the family had so she could sleep in a more comfortable position, it was still a little weird sleeping in Luan's bunk but she got over it. Lily often touched her tummy, not understanding it wasn't real, but Luna learned to just shake it off and let the baby have her fun. Unfortunately, it meant Leni took photos just for the cuteness.

On Friday night, while learning some of Joan Baez's music, she texted Sam: Your fam doing movie night? A few seconds later, Sam texted back: Sure are, but I took Mazzy's advice, and I'm using my belly as my own tray, property of Sam Sharp insert smiley face. Sam then sent Luna a photo showing her (Sam) resting a plate of nachos on her faux baby bump. Luna smiled in amusement and sent a heart emoji.

The next day being Saturday, some of the family decided to take a morning trip to the park. That group excluded Lynn Sr. who was needed at his restaurant. Luan and Lincoln had a birthday party gig they had to go to. Leni went to work in her friend Fiona's car and Lynn Jr. had a softball game and then a basketball game so they had their day full. Lola was going to a friend's house that morning. So that left Rita, Lori, Luna, Lucy, Lana, Lisa and of course Lily to go to the park.

Lynn Sr. was able to get a ride from a friend so Rita was able to drive the park group in Vanzilla. Luna was privately grateful for this. She took her acoustic guitar with her, figuring she could practice for her concert that night and maybe get an audience at the park.

Once they arrived, Lucy went off to meet up with some friends who were already there. Rita took Lily off in her stroller for a walk. Lisa and Lana went to the nearby pond for two very different reasons. Lana wanted to spend time with the Fisherman family while Lisa wanted to study said family. Lori spotted some friends of her's from school and rushed over to meet them.

Luna decided to go over to a nearby park bench to practice on her guitar. It wasn't difficult at this point because she was now more or less used to the extra weight. She spread a blanket out on the bench for extra comfort, sat down, got her guitar out along with the notes for the songs she was studying and started to play.

It didn't take long for a woman about her mother's age to drop a ten-dollar bill in Luna's case.

"Oh, thanks soul sister, that's mighty generous," said Luna.

"Girl, take it, please, you're going to need all the help you can get," the woman told her before walking off, Luna was in no mood to chase after her and explain what was really going on.

"Am I a bad person for taking the tip?" she wondered. Then she decided to shrug it off, plenty of people make a few extra bucks doing street performances. So, she started one of the best songs she knew would draw a crowd.

Where it began, I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who'd have believed you'd come along

Hands, touching hands
Reaching out, touching me, touching you

Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
But now I

Look at the night and it don't seem so lonely
We filled it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurting runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when holding you

One, touching one
Reaching out, touching me, touching you

She managed to get a small crowd who were more than happy to join in and do the necessary sound effects. She made a few tips and pats on the back. Right about as she finished the song, Rita came over with Lily. She sat beside the musician.

"Making a few tips there sweetie?" Rita asked.

"Hey, lots of people do this, some woman actually thought I was with child, but I just didn't feel like chasing after her, and I figured I may as well do a crowd pleaser to make some extra pocket change, that way I wouldn't feel bad," explained Luna. Rita nodded in understanding, in their family, cash was always tight, so if the kids needed to make a few extra bucks, that was understandable.

That night, Chunk took Luna's band to the restaurant where they were going to perform. All four of the teenagers were dressed up in sixties gear, having gone full flower child. Chunk, being the great guy that he was, carried their equipment in for them. Once they got themselves settled in, Luna took the mic.

"Alright you might have noticed that we are dressed as hippies, and for the record, nobody on this stage is actually pregnant. The reason we are dressed this way is because tonight, we are doing a tribute to the singer and guitar player Joan Baez, who really was pregnant when she performed at Woodstock, very late at night. So, let's just take a trip back in time," Luna explained. Then the music began with them opening with a song entitled 'Diamonds and Rust.'

Well, I'll be damned
Here comes your ghost again
But that's not unusual
It's just that the moon is full
And you happened to call
And here I sit
Hand on the telephone
Hearing a voice I'd known
A couple of light years ago
Heading straight for a fall

The crowd cheered as they performed. They continued performing Baez's hits such as 'Farewell Angelina,' 'Love is just a Four-Letter-Word,' and 'Sweet Sir Galahad.' They even attempted a few Bob Dylan songs that she had done covers for such as 'Forever Young.' They were a major hit that night. So many people who were clearly baby boomers dropped money into their tip jar. During a break where they were given complimentary soda, a man in his 70's and his wife came up to them and shook their hands.

"Thank you, kids you've brought back so many memories for us, we were actually at Woodstock the night Joan performed and I believe she would be flattered," he told them. His wife then gave Sully a kiss on the cheek.

"That's for being such a good sport with the theme," she told him. Poor Sully went all red in the cheeks. His female compatriots just sniggered.
