Hey guys, I hope everyone is fine. This may be my last upload for some time, I have posted details on my profile but I'll also explain here.
I need to concentrate more on classes, especially since it is nearing the middle of the trimester.
This does not mean I'll be entirely gone, I'm going to try to stick to my schedule, uploading when possible.
That's all, for now, guys, Happy Birthday to Percy! He's twenty-seven as of the moment so celebrate by having blue cookies(Or anything blue for that matter). Now, on with the fic, enjoy!

Jackson-Blofis apartment, Tuesday morning
Percy groggily got up. It was currently summer break so he had all the right to sleep in.
He walked into his bathroom, washed his face, did his teeth, and put on one of Camp Half-Blood shirts and a pair of shorts. As he neared the door, something at the back of his mind he said he was forgetting something.
When he exited the door, the apartment was seemingly devoid of life. This was not completely new to him as Sally and Paul had errands to run. What was odd was the fact he couldn't find any trace that the pair left in the first place.
He was about to check the fridge if there was a sticky note on it but something caught his attention instead.
A triplet of blue pancakes accompanied with butter and with a pitcher of orange juice nearby.
It didn't occur to him how recently made these were but it only mattered was the fact the pancakes seemed to for him. He took a seat and begin to dig in. It was only on his last piece of pancake did he notice a light blue note attached to the pitcher which read:
.
Happy Birthday Seaweed Brain
There's a couple of clues around the house; find them and you'll know where to go
-A.C
Now even though Percy was what he was(A Seaweed Brain for that matter), he still knew who had written the note, current girlfriend, Annabeth Chase.
It also made him realize that it was indeed his birthday, and he was Nineteen at the moment.
Upon finishing the last pancake, and having another glass of juice, he decided that he would find the next clues.
And so he intensely scoured first the kitchen-dining room, then living room followed by Sally and Paul's room, the guest room(Where Annabeth stayed most of the time), the bathroom's until he circled back to his room.
It had nearly been an hour and a half of flipping the apartment on its head that he found the second clue…under his pillow.
Now Percy knew for a fact that he was a heavy sleeper but he pondered how he didn't feel the note being inserted.
He picked it up and read the marker-blue ink:
.
Happy Birthday Percy
We hope you enjoyed those pancakes Annabeth helped cook them NOT TRUE
The water here is warm at the moment, though staying on the beach is fun as well
-S.J
Now Percy had an idea where to go, Montauk. His mom had told him, multiple times that she would swim there. His only dilemma was how to get there.
After pondering around for a bit, a took out a wad of cash so that he could catch a taxi until a loud thud sounded from the fire escape.
Upon inspecting found out it was his loyal steed, Blackjack.
"Hey Boss", greeted the Pegasus into his mind, a neigh coming out his mouth.
"Hey Blackjack, I didn't know you were coming over", Percy reciprocated.
"Nah, some Blonde, what's her name again? Convinced me to visit you with the fact you would get some donuts" Blackjack neighed.
"Sure thing bud, what flavor?" He asked as he mounted the Pegasus, knowing that only Annabeth would have managed to convince Blackjack. Thus, the pair flew off to Montauk, with a pitstop at the closet donut store.
.
An hour later, Montauk, the beachside cabin
Percy hadn't intended to take as long as they did but when a Pegasus is presented with a menu centered on donuts…the result is inevitable. Blackjack had landed just outside on pristine sandy beaches.
Percy now committed to what he had been doing the whole morning, intensely searching areas for sticky notes.
He eventually found one but it was confusing. It was a set of coordinates.
Now, he had figured out that he could use said coordinates but only when navigating on a vessel. But upon further finding, he came across a GPS. After giving it batteries and testing if it did work, along with the sheet of paper, and a bag of extra donuts, he remounted Blackjack and followed the coordinates to…
Somewhere in Long Island.
He wasn't sure why he was there, he double-cheeked what he had found and it was indeed where he had been guided to.
He was tempted to remount Blackjack when he heard a rustle in the bushes. He went to investigate and when he followed the noises until what he saw next made him balk.
On a big white banner was written: Happy Birthday Percy!
There were also his two(mortal)parents, Grover, Thalia, and Annabeth. It had seemed they had gone for just a small gathering dedicated to him.
"Hey, Kelp-Head!" Thalia waved over. The Daughter of Zeus and current hunter/Lieutenant of Artemis was ecstatic to see one of her friends after so long.
"Oh hey Thals" He greeted back, embracing her.
After the greetings and all, they immediately got down to having Lunch. The food was already set-up on a small clothed table with chairs. As everyone sat down, Percy thanked them for taking their time to do all of this, to which they gave "Your welcomes". After that, they ate and had a relatively good time.
While they were eating Percy murmured to Annabeth, "You guys didn't have to"
To which she responded, "We could have chosen not to you know" She said chuckling.
They then had the cake, to which Percy accidentally blew a bit too hard and splattered some of Thalia's clothing…the result was inevitable.
Following the small mishap(In which a –friendly- exchange of insults and Thalia lightly zapping Percy in the occurred), they did eventually eat the cake, which Sally proudly admitted of baking.
Percy received a total of four gifts from everyone(A set of chocolates from Thalia, A textbook of Marine Biology from Grover, An illustrative guide to cooking from Sally and Paul, and a monthly planner from Annabeth, who hinted at another gift for later).
They dispersed after another hour of just chilling and hanging out, Thalia and Grover having to return to Camp Half-Blood.
"I'll see you around G-Man, I'll make sure to visit sometime," He said as they fist-bumped.
"Thanks, Perce, I think Chiron will appreciate it"
When the set had been packed up and moved into the trunk of the car. The other four drove off back to their shared apartment. While they headed back, Annabeth ended passing out on Percy's shoulder, to which he didn't object, letting her nap.
For him, even though they had prepared something simple, it still meant a lot to him and the day couldn't get any better
Later that night, Percy's room
Percy was close to drifting off to slumber. His eyes had already been to droop when he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in" He tiredly murmured.
In came Annabeth, holding something that Percy couldn't make out from his position.
"Is this a bad time" She quietly asked, closing the door behind her.
"Nah, not really, what is it?" He asked, his sense of sleep evaporating.
"Well I wanted to give you this, I did tell you that I had another gift for you," She said, sitting on the bed.
She handed him a thin box, adorned with gold wrappings. When he opened it, he was surprised by its contents. Inside were multiple pictures taken of them over time and after he went through memory lane, he found a letter that she had written.
"Yo-you don't have to read it now…" She stammered.
"Of course I'm going to read it now, turn on the light will you," He asked, to which she obliged. Unfolding the letter it read:
.
Happy Birthday, Seaweed Brain!
You're now TWENTY that's quite the achievement. I hope you may always go on to become a great demigod and person(Which you already are heh).
I'll always love to the world and back Percy, don't you DARE forget that!
-Love from your's truly, Wise Girl
He read it aloud, tearing up along the way.
By the time he was looking back at Annabeth, she was blushing furiously and rubbing the back of her neck.
"I-that was nice Wise Girl, thank you," He said, embracing her from behind.
"Thanks, Percy, I know it's a bit short and all—" She was cut off by him.
"Shhh, I liked it Ok? Let's sleep now I'm tired" Pulling her down with him onto the bed, the box with its content already on the bedside table.
After that, the pair quickly fell asleep in each other's arms, ending the day no better than Percy could have hoped.
END
