Author's Notes: Hello errebody! I've decided that from now on, I'm going to be switching Betty and Jughead's POVs every chapter unless stated so in the Author's Notes. We're going to find out more about Penny Peabody and Gladys and the drug trade and stuff like that in this chapter, which is going to be written in Jughead's POV… since last chapter was Betty. Anyways, without further ado, let's jump right into the chapter!

JUGHEAD'S POV

Betty thought I was cheating on her. I'm not cheating on her, but I am keeping something from her.

I've decided to continue my thought of not telling her that we're living in the same house as the woman who's bought and taken over the drug trade of Riverdale. It's definitely not the type of thing you can casually bring up in conversation with your pregnant girlfriend.

And then, of course, we learn that Penny Peabody is out for Betty, and my baby, which is scary. I don't think I would ever forgive myself if something happened to her. So, we decided to devise a plan for Betty to be safe.

"What about Dilton Doiley's bunker?" Fangs suggested.

I looked at Fangs confusedly and asked, "Dilton Doiley has a bunker?"

"Yeah," he said. "Uh… me and this girl were… looking for some time… alone. He overheard us talking and directed us towards it,"

I found this odd, but didn't ask any questions. "I mean, that sounds like the perfect place to keep Betty safe from… everything, but she's not going to agree to it unless we tell her exactly what's going on,"

"That does sound like Betty," Toni said, crossing her arms.

"But we need to keep her and the baby safe," I said, slamming my fist down on the marble.

My parents and Jellybean had gotten back from their weekend trip up to Greendale this morning. Betty had been looking at baby stuff online, and Mom suggested that the three girls go up to the mall and get some stuff for the baby. She is five months pregnant, after all, and we have almost nothing except for a few onesies. I understand why Betty waited; she wanted me to be awake and there, and I feel bad for even going to Greendale that day, but I can't change it now. She's the strongest woman I know.

Dad's at work, trying to figure out who's running the drugs in Riverdale these days. Little does he know, he's sleeping in the same bed as her.

Sweet Pea nodded and said, "You guys could always rent a trailer at Sunnyside; there's always Serpents there. We wouldn't have to lock her up, we wouldn't even have to tell her anything. You could surprise her and say that you wanted to get a place for the two of you and the baby,"

"Sweet Pea, you're a genius!" I said, slapping him on the back and wrapping him in a brotherly hug.

It was even more perfect because Betty and I had just discussed wanting to move out. Not that she didn't like my family, her and Jellybean were closer than ever, and her and my mom were on the way to be really good friends. But we both agreed that they're not going to want to hear the baby cry at night, and stuff like that. Besides, there's not even an extra room here that the baby can live in, so we'd need to get a place before it gets old enough that it needs its own room. If we lived at Sunnyside, if I was out, there would always be Serpents watching over the trailer, keeping a look out for Penny.

I called Betty to propose the idea to her. "Hey Juggy, what's up?" Betty's voice asked.

"What would you say if I asked us to move to Sunnyside Trailer Park?" I asked suddenly.

Silence on the other end, until, "I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, but why now? I thought you didn't wanna go through the moving process until the baby was born, and I told you that it would be harder that way,"

I rolled my eyes at Betty's impeccable memory. "Yeah, well, forget it. Sweet Pea brought up the idea, and I think it's great. What do you say?"

I could practically hear her smile as she said, "I say that sounds great! Should we come home early so we can start looking, or…"

"No, we're gonna have a trailer by the end of the day. I know the people who own the trailer park," I said quickly.

It's true, though. Easton Ramirez and his wife Melody Ramirez own Sunnyside. Tall Boy's family (his real name is Gerald Petite), the Petite family, used to own the trailer park, but their ownership was revoked from my dad once we found out it was Tall Boy that defaced the statue in Pickens Park and got all the Serpents basically on Sheriff Keller's (he was the sheriff at the time) radar.

Easton and Melody are good friends of my dad's, and their kids Max and Melissa are really cute. Max is only eight, and Melissa's four, so they're pretty young. When I approached them and asked for a trailer, I promised I would pay rent within a month or two, they were more than happy to let me look through them.

I finally found the perfect trailer:

It was a two bedroom, meaning there was a room for me and Betty, and a room for the baby once its born.

And, even better, the trailer was in the sort of inner circle of the trailer park. The "inner circle" was a bunch of Serpents and people who were in tight with the Serpents, like the Ramirez family. They weren't exactly Serpents, but Easton occasionally comes by the Whyte Wyrm to have a drink with either my dad or Hog Eye, two of his closest friends.

Meaning, if there were a bunch of Serpents where our trailer was, if I was ever gone, they would all be on the look out for Penny, and alert me if she ever got near the trailer.

I signed the lease with Easton (Melody was at home with Max and Melissa), and then we began the moving process.

I made sure to tell everyone that once Betty got back, she was absolutely, positively, not allowed to carry anything heavy. If it looked like she was struggling, or looked like she was holding something heavy, even if she didn't look like she was struggling, whoever saw her was to confiscate it, and carry it into the trailer themselves.

We didn't have any furniture for the trailer, but, thankfully, Dad had kept the furniture from our old trailer. He had put the furniture in a storage unit, so we could just transport the couch and stuff from the storage unit, to the new trailer.

Within a few hours, we had quite a bit of stuff in the new place. Since most of mine and Betty's stuff was in her room, it didn't take long to pack up her bedroom and get it moved over to our place, although I did call her, and we agreed to decorate our new room together, while we would be using her bed and bedspread for the time being.

Mom stalled Betty at the baby store, buying her a few extra things (they bought onesies and baby beanies, and they even bought a few pacifiers, apparently), so that we could have some extra time getting the stuff into the house.

They got back around five o'clock, Mom driving Betty straight to the new trailer so that we could officially move in.

When they got out of the car, Mom was looking as evilly happy as ever, and Betty and Jellybean were talking about a onesie that Betty thought was adorable, but Jellybean thought wouldn't really suit the baby.

"No offense, JB, but the baby hasn't even been born yet," Betty debated. "So how do you know this black onesie that says 'Mama Knows Best' isn't gonna suit it?"

My little sister rolled her eyes and said, "First of all, aunt's intuition. Second of all, it should say 'Auntie Knows Best' not 'Mama Knows Best,'"

They laughed, and when she saw me, Betty walked faster to meet me. When she came close enough, I wrapped her in a tight hug as we kissed for a few moments, Jellybean making "ew" sounds as she backed up, Mom and Dad chuckling at the sight of our young love.

"Can I see it?" she asked, referring to our new home for us and our unborn baby.

I nodded, a smile on my face. We walked up, but I warned her before we went in. "Just to warn you, it isn't complete. A lot of my dad's old furniture from our old trailer is in there for the time being. There's nothing in the baby's room, but Sweet Pea and Fangs are putting together our bed as we speak,"

"I mean, we just started moving in today, I didn't expect there to be anything," Betty laughed excitedly, resting her hands on her belly.

I placed my hand on her belly comfortingly, smiling as I felt our baby kick, which Betty grimaced at. She said that while she loved feeling our son kick, it actually kind of hurt her, which made me feel a bit bad, although Betty assured me it wasn't like, terrorizing pain, just a sort of sting, in a sense.

After removing my hand from her belly, I took her hand and led her into our new home; the home our baby would live in for at least its first few months, maybe years.

Betty covered her mouth with her hands as tears filled her eyes. "I don't know how you did it, Juggy, but you found the perfect one!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around me.

We heard swearing coming from another room. Knowing Sweet Pea and Fangs, if there was a bad enough argument they would get physical. No, they wouldn't hold a grudge against each other or anything. On the contrary, if they did get into a fist fight, they would most likely never mention it again; instead choosing to be best buds again, something I never understood about their relationship.

I instructed Betty to stay where she was, and went back to our bedroom where my friends were.

"No, you idiot!" Sweet Pea yelled. "That screw doesn't go in that hole, it goes in that hole!"

Hearing the inappropriateness in the conversation (ever since getting pregnant, apparently, Betty's been very sensitive to inappropriate comments), I quickly shushed them both. "You're both idiots, okay? And stop saying it like that! The screw goes in that pole, which attaches to the bedframe! Does that make any sense at all?"

"Ohhhhhh!" they both said together, before Fangs said independently, "Thanks, Jug." they then went back to work.

When I returned, Betty was giggling to herself. "What?" I asked.

"I just think it's really cute how you handle them. Like, they're acting like two-year-olds, and you just handled it like a true parent," Betty said, stepping closer to me. She wrapped her arms around the back of my neck, pulling me closer, and said, "I already know you're gonna be an amazing daddy to our little bun," she said, taking her hands away and rubbing her belly.

Later that night…

Originally, we were going to spend our first night in the new trailer. But, Betty didn't feel comfortable doing it. She said that the lack of furniture and pictures on the wall made it feel hollow. Instead, we opted to sleep on the pullout couch in the basement. Granted, it wasn't the most comfortable thing to sleep on in the world, especially not with a heavily pregnant woman, but Betty said she was okay with it.

Okay, honestly, Jellybean was out on a sleepover with Anna, and she gave Betty permission to sleep on her bed, as long as she didn't spill anything on the covers, which Betty agreed to.

I didn't sleep very well that night, feeling every single lump of the metal bedsprings in the pullout bed, while Betty slept like a baby in Jellybean's comfortable, memory foam bed that I so envied her for having at this point.

But all that mattered was that Betty was happy. Trust me, if she doesn't get enough sleep, it's like the end of the world has come crashing upon us earlier than expected. You know?

Once we were all awake, we got to work. Jellybean volunteered to take Betty's place in the moving process, thankfully, so she didn't have to work.

As expected, Betty was adamant she help with something, although I told her she wasn't allowed to carry anything heavy, Archie still caught her trying to carry in a big box of books. I then reprimanded her, telling her that her only job in this move was to make sure herself and the baby were happy and healthy.

"But I'm not happy if I'm not helping!" she had complained. She then crossed her arms in a bit of a pout and said, "Nobody lets pregnant girls do anything,"

"For a reason!" Jellybean piped up in the background, causing me, Archie, and even Betty, to giggle a bit.

The rest of the day was dedicated to either getting more furniture in the trailer, or buying some. Mom took Betty to the mall (it might have been a ploy to get her to stop complaining about how we won't let her help, it might not have been), where they bought a really nice newborn crib that had white wood.

We know we're having a boy, and Betty wants to do a themed bedroom for him. The only problem is, Betty can't decide on what theme she wants. She keeps asking me, but she doesn't understand that I don't really have an opinion on that, I just want our kid to have his own room, something I yearned for as a child, having to sleep in the same room as Jellybean when she was a newborn, due to our small trailer.

"Maybe we should do a beach theme!" Betty exclaimed excitedly. "We could paint little waves on the white wood! Don't you think that would be such a cute theme, Juggie?"

I smiled at my girlfriend, kissing her on the lips before kneeling down to kiss her belly. "I think whatever theme you decide on is going to be perfect. After all, you have known our little boy longer than I have,"

Author's Notes: Hellooooo people! So this chapter was a little different. It was mostly moving, not as much Gladys and Penny Peabody as I expected going into the actual writing process. So, as I'm sure you all know from previous Author's Notes, I almost always have a plan for the chapter, but instead of actually following the plan like I intend to, I usually change it at the very, very, very last second. So yeah, whatever I write is going to happen in the beginning Author's Notes, has about a 95 chance of actually happening...unfortunately. But, I promise that Gladys will start talking to Jughead about the drug trade, and start threatening him like what she did in the show. Jughead is still sort of trying to wrap his head around the fact that he's going to be a father, although he's been awake for around a week. In his mind, when he was asleep, Betty looked the same, you know? No belly. So when he opened his eyes and saw her, he expected to see Betty how he remembered her. It was like her stomach just shot out, at least in his mind. But, he's not going to abandon Betty no matter what! So yeah! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, please leave a review if you enjoyed it, and the next chapter will be out in a few days! Love you all!
