Chapter 3: I'm not a Stalker
"You shouldn't go to work today, dad." Eri said, watching how her dad, face covered in bandages and both arms on casts.
"I can't miss a day of work just because I got a little bit hurt." Shota explained and Eri sighed, knowing that no matter what she'll say, her dad's mind is set.
"Fine, just don't do anything to reckless. Please." Shota nodded.
"Don't worry, I'll make only classes. They still don't give me the pass to work as a hero."
"They shouldn't right now!"
"Whatever. Let's just go."
Eri followed her dad, but was still thinking about the USJ. Or more likely, on her saviour.
"Felt like it."
She shook her head. She shouldn't think on a villain, instead, should focus on the Sports Fetival.
*After Class*
Eri was walking around the streets without any direction in particular. They have the week free to prepare themselves for the event. But she isn't sure how to begin. Her quirk is strong. But she still doesn't control it very well. And she doesn't want to make one of her classmates dissapier.
She closed her eyes and shook her head trying to get those thoughts away, and while doing that, she bumped into someone, dropping her bag.
"Sorry, I wasn't looking." Eri apologized.
"Don't worry, no harm done." She opened her eyes and recognized Izuku handing her bag. "Oh. It's you, Unicorn."
Eri blinked as she grabbed the bag "Thanks..." She said and Izuku nodded and continue walking away.
She looked at his back before turning around and continue her way. She is not curious about him. Not at all. Not one bit.
*5 Minutes Later*
Eri was hidden behind a wall and was peeking Izuku talking to a boy. He had black hair, black eyes, a red cap with two yellow horns coming out of it.
Izuku said something to the kid that laughed, followed by Izuku. The kid said something, Izuku nodded, before the kid ran away with a smile. He stood up, and Eri hid behind the wall completely.
She waited some seconds before deciding to look again, she faced Izuku face to face making her yell in surprise to Izuku raising his eye brow. "What are you doing?"
"I-I-I came to..." Eri blushed, trying to find an excuse "I live around here." She said.
"Huh, that's weird. Me and Kota meet here every day and we haven't seen you once..." He said scratching his chin, making Eri swallow. Izuku shrugged "Who cares? See ya." He turned around and walked away.
Eri sighed of relief, and decided that she saw enough of him. He doesn't seem like a bad guy, but he is still is a villain.
She can't be fooled.
*5 minutes later*
Eri saw how Izuku talked to someone older than him. He had green eyes, black-blueish hair, piercings and some burn scars pretty visible.
He looked scary, but Izuku treated him like a close friend. They were eating a hamburger; the older teen was also smoking.
They looked so... normal? Is the word? She isn't sure. She knows that Izuku is a villain, and the other guy sure looks like one. But they look like any other person.
Suddenly, the scarred teen, turned to look at her, making her hide immediately. 10 seconds passed before she decided to look again.
"Are you following me?" Izuku asked being face to face with her.
"You know her?" The scarred teen asked and Eri gulped.
Izuku nodded "Yeah, her name is Unicorn." He smirked seeing her frown.
"It is Eri." She corrected him and Izuku waved his hand in front of her.
"Fine, fine, Eri, so what are you doing here now?" Izuku asked and Eri coughed in her hand.
"I took another way home."
The scarred teen scoffed and decided to leave "See ya Izuku."
"Later Dabi." He waved his friend and turned to Eri again "But for real, are you following me?"
Eri blushed at the accusation "What!? I am not a stalker!"
Izuku raised his hands in a defensive manner. "I didn't say that. I just asked if you are following me."
Eri looked away, Izuku was just a bit taller than her now that she sees him better "I just want to know why you saved me..." Izuku raised a brow.
"I told you already, I felt like it."
"People don't put themselves on risk to save others just because. Only heroes do that and-"
"And I am not one. But I am not a villain neither." Izuku said "I felt like it was the right thing to do. That's all."
Eri nodded "You're weird." Izuku raised a brow. "Dad talked about you. He says you kill both, heroes and villains. But you saved me anyway. That's is what I don't get." She asked again and Izuku closed his eyes.
"You... feel different, I guess." Eri tilted her head, asking him to continue "Most heroes now at days just do it for the fame and money. To be popular. I don't think that you do it for that. I can see you actually want to help people. We need more people like you. Not wanting to be popular, but to be good."
Eri blinked before smiling at him "I don't think you are bad. Just... confued."
Izuku rolled his eyes "Whatever. I'm leaving. See you around."
Eri waved at him "Take care!"
They are now... friends? She isn't sure. But he likes her enough to not kill her and seems to respect her.
*Izuku's Home*
In a small hut in the forest, Izuku was laid on the coach he uses as a bed looking at the roof. He still doesn't know why he helped her. As far as he knows, she can be a really good actress. But...
In her eyes... he sees something he only had seen in his own...
Pain.
He snapped his tongue. He is going to watch the sports festival with Dabi, because he wants to see how his little brother is. Izuku still tells him that if he wants to know, he better just go to him.
The Sports Festival is in a week. He can get some idiots in the meantime.
That always help him think.
