AN: Heyo! Welcome to Chapter 3 of the origin chapter, where we skip ahead a few more years (six years, to be exact), and is also where I begin making something that will make people question me about it being 'too soon'! After all, I wanted to show why, exactly, the Quirk was known as Feral Frenzy sooner lol~

Time to answer some reviews!

Blaze1992: Honestly, the anthro shift was what made me consider Beast Boy's powers in the first place. Being able to shift parts of your body into dinosaur parts? How cool is that, right!? And you also gave a good point about the Grimm forms of the animals, something like an enhanced form, right? Would be cool, kinda sad I didn't think about using RWBY as a concept for this now XD.

But in regards to Feral Frenzy, the only color atm is red that darkens. You'll actually be seeing here what happens if he lets loose, so hope you'll enjoy it! There's another, hidden aspect about this Quirk though, but that won't be out for quite a while (spoiler: it'll be during the training camp through Kamino Ward Arcs), but you are onto something with the different colors. Here's a hint: there are two things animals does when introduced to a new habitat/ecosystem. Hope you figure it out with this!

Dante: I have an entire script for that in my head, let me tell you. Can't wait to write and post it, really! Sadly, I didn't use any of those teachers right now, though I might as I continue the origin arc. In regards to weapon usage, still debating, though probably not. It sounds cool though, so I'll keep it in mind. And thanks for the compliment! Hope this chapter lives up to your expectations XD

Doomslayer857: Thanks! I'll admit, it takes a lot to constantly create OCs for each story I write, so I'm glad for the compliment! As for why I made Deku a girl here…personal preference, really. Plus, I kinda wanted to write a story with female Deku and an OC with a male Katsuki. Honestly, I kinda just do things on the fly when it comes to these things haha~

Now that that's done, let's get this show on the road!

Disclaimer: I don't own Boku no Hero Academia or any of the references I may make here. All I own are my OCs, my laptop, and this steaming cup of coffee that will always be with me as I make all these.

Chapter 3: The Beast Within Stirs

Two people were circling each other, their gazes narrowed before one of them started with a roundhouse kick. The lavender haired boy on the other end leaned back as the kick glided past him before he twisted his core to release a right hook, using his current positioning to apply more force.

His opponent crossed her arms just in time, getting sent back instead of flying from the force. He capitalized on it, rushing ahead then jumped to perform a high kick while she was still disoriented. The kick had enough force to send her tumbling on the mat. Before she could even try to get up, he was already before her, quickly locking her legs in place while keeping hold of her arms.

"And that's match!" Keisuke Kendo called from where he stood, having seen that the boy's opponent could no longer escape in time. "Point goes to Kurokami. You two, get up and rest, you're done for the day. Next match will be Midoriya and Hozumi. Both of you, enter the mat. I'll leave refereeing to Gogenzaga."

He then stepped away from the referee area and was replaced by a tan skinned man with buzz cut hair standing at attention. Meanwhile, a now thirteen year old Ryotaro breathed deeply before letting go, offering a hand to an also thirteen year old Itsuka, the girl pouting at him while he smirked. Ryotaro grew even taller, while his frame was lean and muscular, showing his growing muscles through the opening in his purple training gi, even the sleeves slight strained from his growing biceps. Even Itsuka had bloomed, gone from being a young girl into a burgeoning young woman as her figure began to fill up nicely, her curves visible despite the blue training gi she wore. Her form was nothing to scoff at, as one could clearly see the results of her training.

"I do believe that this puts me ahead in our matches?" He taunted, dodging a playful swipe with a snigger. "Aw, is miss ponytail mad?"

"I swear I will actually hurt you if you don't stop." She swore half-jokingly. "Come on, we should get water and watch Zumi dominate her match."

He nodded as they made their way to the resting area just as a thirteen year old Izumi walked out and stood at one end, facing another student for a spar. Out of the three of them, Izumi was the one that changed the most. She was still shorter than the other two, but her lanky frame from childhood has changed to a lithe form with evident muscles, visible to all due to her outfit being a green sports bra and a green-black runner shorts, her hands covered in wrappings.

"Begin!"

Izumi's opponent wasted no time and immediately went on the offensive, the one named Hozumi went for a roundhouse only to be blocked when Izumi raised her left knee and placed her hands on guard, taking the recoil from it before releasing a straight punch that hit directly in the face. Without wasting time, she went to deliver a series of kicks, pushing Hozumi onto the defensive.

"Zumi's improved a lot, don't you think?" Itsuka said, watching the match with a whistle. She then glanced at Ryotaro, who was guzzling his water bottle. "What do you think, Ryo?"

"She's come a long way, that's for sure." He said, seeing the match through his peripherals. "She's changed a lot. Though…"

"AH! I'M SO SORRY!" Izumi suddenly yelled after she punted the guy she was sparring with accidentally in the nuts.

After a brief prayer to his fallen brother and a shudder at the phantom pain he felt, he gave Itsuka a lopsided grin that made her blush. "…She's still the same, overreacting girl we all know and love."

"Y-Yeah. Guess something's stay the same." Itsuka tried to hide her blush by laughing, while inwardly she was admonishing herself. 'You're the one that's really changed, getting all muscular…handsome, irresistiNO! Bad Itsuka!'

Question marks can be seen above Ryotaro as he watches steam come out of her ears and her face taking on an unhealthy shade of red as she shook her head as if in denial of something. 'She's been doing that a lot lately, so is Zuzu…scratch that, Zuzu does that since we were little. Eh, probably a girl thing.' He shrugged it off as nothing, returning his focus back to the match just as Izumi twirled and sent the guy down with a rotation kick. 'She's really changed a lot from the old her. A few years back and she'd have hesitated to even throw a punch.'

In the past six years since they started attending here, Izumi grew in both mentality and strength, that not even her former bullies could pick on her without thinking twice (Not to say they didn't try, but with a slightly more confident Izumi and her always there partner Ryotaro, it's kinda hard to – it only got harder for them to try when Itsuka joined their school). She even began to distance herself from Katsuki, not enough to cut him off, but enough to ignore him like Ryotaro usually does. Unfortunately, the ash-blonde still tries to assert her as weak, not that it does much these days. The only thing that remained the same was Izumi's soft-spoken nature, her stuttering (Though it lessened considerably), and her muttering (Which seems to have only gotten worse as time went by).

All in all, Ryotaro can safely say that she can at least take care of herself now.

'Now all I need to do is figure out how to break it to her and Itsuka.' His smile dropped to a frown for just a moment, disappearing just as Izumi walked up to them with a slight pant. "There's our sweet All Might fangirl. You still good, Zuzu?"

"H-Hey, Ryocchan, Itsuka-chan…" She greeted with a blush and slight glare due to being called a fangirl, gratefully accepting the water bottle Itsuka offered her. She drank it all before speaking again. "I-I'm doing fine. Gogenzaga-sensei told me I just need to work on my a-aim," She stammered when he snorted and Itsuka giggled, "I-I didn't want to hit him there!"

"Good, cause if you went out of your way to hit men there, I'll be having serious doubts about my safety even as your friend." He joked, making the girl blush again while Itsuka laughed. He then went to grab his things, earning him curious glances from the girls. "I'm heading out early. Itsuka, tell Uncle Kei thanks for the training, as always. I'll you and Zuzu on Monday in class."

The two girls looked at each other, still confused.

"Where are you going?" Itsuka was the one that asked. "Actually, you've been acting weird for a few days now. Is there something wrong?"

"Y-yeah, you seem d-distracted these days." Izumi looked concerned. "Like last Friday. Y-You spaced out in class, and you n-never do that."

Ryotaro was the highest ranked student in their entire year, perks of being the son of a scientist – academics is in his blood, after all – she supposed. For him to not be paying full attention during classes was a surprise, especially when he was caught off guard when their teacher called on him in class.

The boy in question said nothing but sighed as he grabbed his bag and stood to face them, a lopsided smile in place. Izumi couldn't help but blush, having always liked seeing his smile. But this time, there was something…wrong with it. "It's nothing, just have something I need to work on. I'll…tell you both what it's about soon, okay? But for now, I'm not really sure how to say it."

With a wave goodbye, the young teen left the dojo, leaving behind two very confused and concerned girls. Just what was he trying to hide?

It was nearing night in Musutafu, and in the deep end of the Prefecture lies an old abandoned factory. The entire building was structurally unsound as it showed signs of rotting and moss grew out of the small creases in the walls. Such a place would normally be empty of inhabitants, but at the moment, a red blur was running through the entire place as if it were an obstacle course.

"Sweetie, I… I have something to tell you." Karen began as she sat her son down in their living room. "We need to talk."

"Did I do something?" Ryotaro wondered, feeling nervous at how serious his mom looked. "Was it about that incident in school? It was Bakugou who did that, not me. I didn't want to fight with the guy!"

"No, it's…something else."

Ryotaro grit his teeth as the cloak surrounding him flared up, turning a deeper color of red, bordering scarlet. Vaulting off of one of the pillars in the building, he used the added momentum to punch through it, easily breaking it apart before resuming his run. He began getting faster, even as he reached a dead end, he went for the support beams and leapt towards it. Without letting himself fall, he used the beam as leverage to jump to the other one, repeating the process until he reached the top where he continued to run.

"After you finish this year, you'll be continuing the rest of your education in Fumizuki Academy." His mother told him. His eyes widened as he felt his heart thump wildly. "We'll also be moving to Minato for your studies there."

"Wait… What?" His body quivered. "No, I…Why?"

"It's… I was offered a job there, and it would help us in the long run if I were to take it." The way she bit her lip made him feel there was more to it than she let on. "It'll only be till you finish senior high school. After that, we can come back here for you to apply for U.A. University like you wanted. I negotiated for that."

He was getting agitated, he knows it, but even so, he just let his emotions run wild as he went on with his Quirk training. This was a place he found a while ago, a place where no one would interfere with his – technically illegal – Quirk usage. Though right now, as he has been doing ever since the news was dropped on him of their leaving Musutafu, he needed to vent his frustrations.

With that, he began pumping out more power as he mentally called out. 'Feral Frenzy, Level 3!'

Over the years as he trained with his Quirk, he, Izumi and Itsuka called his base cloak as 'Level 1.' To that end, whenever he pumps out more power, he 'levels up' in a way, hence the term. This increase in power could be seen in the cloak becoming a dark cherry color. To this day, the highest he has been able to push it was a level 6, and even then it put a strain on him. Any further than that and he might lose control.

"B-But… No! I don't want to just leave!" Ryotaro immediately disagreed, jumping off the couch to stare at his mom pleadingly, if not angrily. "What about our life here!? My school…My friends!? W-What about Izumi and Itsuka!?"

Karen sighed, knowing how distraught the news was for him if calling Izumi by her given name rather than his nickname for her was any indication.

"The papers have already been signed, Ryo." She tried to explain, pushing through despite the sadness she feels for pushing this on her son. "I'm sorry, but this has to be done. There's something important I have to do there that I can't push off." 'You can't know. I…I owe it to him. But you can't know…'

"What's so important that you have to ruin my life here…?" When he saw his mom flinch, he instantly felt guilt, but something inside him was making him madder than he's ever felt before. More…feral. "… I hate you…"

Karen's eyes widened when the words left his mouth, and she stood up just as he turned away from her. "My little wolf, please, understand where I'm"

"Don't call me that! Just leave me alone! I hate you!" With that, he rushed into his room, slamming it close with before locking it. His entire body was covered by a darker cloak, yet neither mother nor son noticed it in their emotional state.

The older Kurokami could only fall to her knees as her son, for the first time in his life, became mad at her. Tears openly fell from her eyes as she wept, apologizing over and over again to someone who won't even listen.

'Please Ryo, forgive me… But this has to be done, or else… All Might won't survive.'

From that day on, the Kurokami household has never felt the same.

Ryotaro could feel his senses sharpening as he increased his output even more, destroying any and all debris that stood in his way as he vaulted his way through the building. Even so, he doesn't care, as long as he can vent all his emotions out, it'll be worth it. Besides, it just means more time away from home, something he wants more than anything right now.

'Level 4…5…' His body began trembling as he was reaching his current limit, his cloak now a deep blood-like color. Unknown to him, black patches began to appear in his aura, his amber eyes turning crimson and his pupils becoming slits. He began to growl while his nails grew sharper. 'Gh…! Level…6…!'

'I…need…more…!' The black patches began to overcome the red, until he was entirely covered in it just as he fell to his knees, gasping and clutching his heart. His big canines became sharper, while the entirety of his eyes became a burning crimson. His thought process was already all gone; nothing was left except his frustrations.

The black aura took over his body completely, as all his negative emotions began to pile up within him emerged to the surface. A black miasma exploded in the vicinity, and when it cleared, a new being stood in place of the boy. Its eerie red eyes glared ahead, while the growl of a predator emerged from its throat.

"▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅▂▂▃▃▄▄▅▅!" An unholy sound came from the creature before it rampaged.

Pro heroes were called to the scene to investigate the abandoned factory where people reported to have heard a loud roar of some kind. They all rushed to the scene, only to find the entire factory demolished with everything destroyed. Nothing was left except pieces of rubble belonging to what was once a building.

The worst part was that there was no sign of anyone having been there. As if the building was destroyed by a natural disaster instead of a villain or monster.

"I wonder what's going on with Ryo."

The one who spoke was Itsuka, as she and Izumi were walking towards the latter's home for a bit of girl time. Originally, they were going to invite Ryotaro with them, but with the only boy in their usual trio acting a bit estranged for the past few days and rushing out on them earlier, they decided to just change it to between them.

"I don't know, Itsuka-chan." Izumi wasn't stuttering at the moment, since she was around a friend instead of a whole crowd of people. "Maybe something happened at his home? Maybe Auntie Karen knows what's going on. But then, the two don't act like they usually did when Auntie dropped him off at the dojo earlier, so she's most likely involved and might not want to tell us, or just tell us to ask Ryocchan about it. Then again, Ryocchan has never been the type to hide things from us, so him doing it now is very concerning. I'm not really sure if we should even interfere with it, since it honestly looks like a family matter that we shouldn't just push ourselves into. But, we've known Ryocchan and Auntie Karen for a long time now; both of us since we were five and you two for six years now. Will he tell us, or—"

Knowing that if she let her keep going, she won't stop until she drops (she's seen it happen before), Itsuka did the sensible thing and covered her mouth, giving her an exasperated look. Izumi realized that she kept on muttering, again, and a timid nod to signify that she was done.

"S-Sorry…"

"Geez, and here I thought you were getting better with that. Not that Ryo seems to mind; he actually finds it cute." She smirked a little at the blush that blossomed on her shy friend's face. "You're so obvious, Zumi. It's all kinds of adorable to see how you skirt around it while he's oblivious to all of it."

"N-Not like you're any better, I-Itsuka-chan." Izumi retorted, albeit meekly while trying to cover her blush with her hands. "Y-You're no better than I-I am. Actually, aren't you more b-blatant than me? He'd have figured it out if he wasn't Ryocchan, you know."

Now it was Itsuka's turn to blush as she quickly averted her gaze.

"I-I was so not!"

"You were!"

The two glared at each other before bursting into a fit of giggles, knowing that they looked silly.

"Still," Itsuka began when they finally calmed down, "how do we get that idiot to notice? More than that, you ever wonder what'll happen if he actually chose one of us in the future?"

"All the time." Izumi sighed. "He's been my best friend for eight years now, and compared to Kacchan who looks down on my dream, Ryocchan has been supporting it the entire time. The others at school don't bother me about being Quirkless as much since he's always watching over me, and he always makes sure Kacchan can't do anything to me anymore. He's…" Here she smiled brightly, "…it's like he's my own, personal hero."

"… Wow, that's deep." Itsuka blinked, leaving a spluttering mess out of Izumi who realized how embarrassing it must have sounded. But she gave her own smile. "But, I do get where he's coming from. We're all from Aldera Middle School, after all, and I've seen how protective he can be." She placed a finger to her lips in thought. "Kinda like an alpha wolf protecting his pack."

"Auntie Karen does call him her little wolf." Izumi pointed out.

"That's true." She then smirked, sending the girl a mischievous look. "Well, if all else fails, I'm not against sharing him with you."

"What!?"

"You should've seen your face!" Itsuka laughed as Izumi flailed her arms wildly, trying to hit the girl as they ran back to the greenette's home.

Unknown to either of the girls, a pair of glowing crimson eyes started at them from the roof of one building. Its head snapped to the side, letting out sounds like it was sniffing something. It was staring at a bank a distance away, where a group of robbers were using their Quirks to cause mayhem as they tried to escape the police. The creature tilted its head, thinking, before seeing the trajectory they were heading, they would be in direct contact of the two girls in just a few minutes.

Now openly snarling, it began to stalk its newly found prey.

"This is the Musutafu Police Department! Stand down and surrender!" An officer yelled as he and a group of policemen ran after three criminals wearing the standard black ski masks to cover their faces. "Stop in the name of the law!"

"Sorry officers!" One of the men grinned as he quickly turned around and fired quills from his hands, halting the policemen and forcing them to take cover or duck to avoid being hit. "But me and my pals here think we'll just take our hard earned cash and skedaddle, capiche?"

"Naru, close it!" Another of the men barked out just as they entered an alley way, as the last man used his Quirk to seal the entrance by raising the dirt to form a wall. "That should give them enough trouble till we get out of here. For good measure though… I'll send some illusions to confuse the fuck outta 'em."

The three men grinned, thinking they were scot free since no heroes have arrived yet, meaning no one could impede them as they make a clean escape.

"C'mon boys! We're in the home stretch now!" The illusion man grinned as he created three projections of him and his friends, each, sending all groups in different directions while they took another path. "With all these dough we're rolling in, we'll be set for months at least!"

"Long enough for them cops and heroes to forget all about lil' ol' us." The man who created the dirt wall smirked.

"Stroke of luck that those hero wannabes were all too busy dealing with that weird sound earlier." The spike man laughed. "Wonder what that was about?"

"Who cares!? All that matters is we got it all without any troubles." The illusion man shrugged without a care.

That was when they began to hear a low growl, freezing them in their tracks.

"…Did ya all hear that or was that just me?" The dirt user blinked while his two pals nodded dumbly, before jumping with a yelp when a blur passed by in front of them. "What the fuck was that!?"

"I-I don't know!"

"A hero!? I thought all of them were at that abandoned factory!?"

"▄▄▅▅▃▃▄▅▅!"

Their eyes widened at that beastly sound, each one activating their Quirks with the illusion man standing in the middle due to his more support oriented Quirk. Meanwhile, the spike user aimed his hands out, revealing them to have holes to show where his Quirk fires off, while the dirt user placed his hands on the floor, trying to sense movement.

"I don't think this is a hero, boys…" The illusion user spoke up as they scanned their eyes in the closed space they're in. A loud impact was heard above them, and when they looked, all they saw was a beast-like silhouette with eerie red eyes staring at them with a snarl, its wisp like fangs bared. They blinked and suddenly, it was gone. "That sure as hell didn't look like a hero!"

"Whatever it is, kill it!"

Just as the spike user barked the command, they heard a cry from their dirt using member as the silhouette suddenly appeared in front of him. Without wasting, the spike user aimed and fired at the creature, only for it to lean its head to the side. It then followed up by grabbing the dirt user by the head, just as he tried to touch the ground to activate his Quirk. As if knowing that leaving him on the ground would work against it, it threw the guy, sending him flying to an open dumpster, crashing the lid on him. His two comrades could only gape when they felt a furious gale hit them from just a throw.

"Fuck!" The spike user swore as he aimed both hands and rapid fired spikes at the thing that attacked them. The creature, which was now revealed to be a black werewolf-like creature whose entire body was made of smoky mist, with its eyes glowing crimson, swiftly dodges with a speed that seemed inappropriate for its rather bulky frame.

It began to hop from wall to wall before it lunged, the two barely able to dodge it as it skidded on the ground before growling at them. The illusion user tried to use his Quirk to confuse the beast by creating more copies of his comrade and himself. It seemed to work, as the beast tilted its head just as the spike user took aim again the same time his double did. Unfortunately, the beast dodged and took another chance to lunge, this time at the illusion user.

"Wait, please, no!" He tried to beg when it managed to reach him, only to be treated to its clawed hands as it swiped at him, sending him flying with four slash marks on his chest, shredding his shirt as he crashed into a wall, knocked out.

Just as it turned its attention to the last member, the spike user merely smirked at its lunge. The dirt beneath it sprung up like a battering ram, sending it crashing into a wall before it slid down in a slump.

"Nice timing!"

"Whatever, just shoot that thing!"

Grinning madly, the crook took aim and released a barrage of spikes at the downed beast. Spike after spike shot out and hit the beast as it began to get up. In the end, a dust cloud settled on the area when the spike user decided it was enough.

"There, that should put that damned mutt down for good." He huffed.

"What the hell was that thing? That kind of Quirk…" The dirt user wondered as he went to pick up their unconscious comrade. "You think it's like that UA Principal? You know, an animal with a Quirk?"

"Hell if I know. Now grab Gunta and let's get out of he—" He was cut off when a speedy blur hit him with a straight punch, a loud crack signaling that his skull got damaged from the force of the punch as the beast snarled.

"Fuji!" The dirt user gulped when the beast's focus shifted from the now concuss man to the last member even still awake.

"▂▂▃▃▄▅▅!" It roared as it lunged for the last time, a painful scream ringing out from the alleyway.

When the pro-heroes finally arrived and helped take down the wall for them and the police to give chase, all that they found were three unconscious men, all of them the robbers they were chasing after. One had slash marks on his chest, another looked like his skull was cracked from the blood on his head, and the last they cringed at, because his body was ridden with slash and bite marks.

None of them noticed a figure leaping from roof to roof, its thirst for a hunt satisfied.

It was nearing midnight by now, and Karen was beside herself with worry as her son, Ryotaro, had yet to return home. After calling Izumi and Itsuka about his whereabouts, all they replied with was that he went ahead of them earlier, making her worry even more. She wasn't a fool, she knows that him coming home late was because of a certain talk they had a few days ago, and how much it hurt her son that she even considered going through with it.

But it was to save the person who saved them! Not that Ryotaro remembers that day, and she hopes he never remembers it, either. To him, it was like he chose her job over him; leaving behind all they knew for something she was offered. And that she was dragging him into it.

'Oh Yusaku, if only you were here…' She sighed, both feeling sadness and longing as she thought about a rather buff man with dark and light blue hair styled the same way Ryotaro's was. That image made her smile softly. 'More and more he's starting to look like you. I wish you were here to see him grow up…'

Her inner musing was cut short when she heard the sound of glass breaking. Narrowing her eyes, a distinctly purple aura surrounded her, a telltale sign of her Quirk being activated. In numerous ways, her Quirk was like her son's – enhancing his body to superhuman feats. The only difference is that hers is a huge drain on her stamina compared to her son turning feral. Hence hers was merely called as Spirit Enhancer.

She might be more of a Brainiac despite her combat oriented Quirk, but she knew first-hand how important it was to know self-defense

Carefully making her way to where she heard the noise come from, she paused briefly in front of her son's room. Narrowing her eyes at the slight rustling she hears, she reaches for the knob slowly. The noise suddenly stopped, and she prepared for a fight when she suddenly opened the door.

… Only to come face to face with a beastly silhouette.

"No…that's…Yusaku!?" She gasped, a flash of blue fur filling her vision, but then realized the werewolf-like being in front of her was more wisp like instead of actual fur, but the piercing red gaze was the same. The same her husband had whenever he used his Quirk. "That's not it… Then who is…?"

"▂▅▂▂▃▃▄▅?" The beast let out a low sound, almost like it was confused. It stalked towards her, and she held back a gasp as it began to sniff her. "▂▂▃M▃▄▄▅ther?"

This time she did gasp, as despite how distorted the voice sounded, she would always recognize it anywhere.

A mother will always recognize the voice of their own child.

"R-Ryo, is that…you?" His answer came in the form of his aura dispersing, making her son drop from it as she hastily made to catch him before he hit the ground. "My little wolf…what happened to you?"

"M-Mom…?" He coughed, weakly trying to stand as she helped him to his bed. Once he was lying down, he glanced at her. "H-How am I home…?"

"You don't remember?"

"N-No… All I remember was feeling…hate. Rage. A never ending frustration that just…built up inside me." He tried to recall what he did beforehand, but all he remembers was being in the abandoned factory before he blacked out. "I…I was so mad…at you. Then I just…blacked out."

He missed the flinch his mother made as a sudden headache filled his head, the garbled, distorted voice filling it as his pupils turned to slits for a moment before returning to normal. 'W-What the heck was that!?'

"Ryo…" Ryotaro blinked to get rid of his thoughts as he stared at his mother. At this point, hearing how her son was mad at her made Karen tear up. "I-I know that things between us are strained right now, but please… I never wanted you to be mad at me…"

He sighed as he slumped back on his bed, all those thoughts of what happened to him pushed back at the back of his mind as he focused his attention on his mother. "… I know."

"If I had any other choice, I would've wanted you to stay here and continue on with our current life, but…" She hesitated. "There's someone I need to help. I can't tell you all the reasons, b-but this person is someone I owe a lot to. I know this probably doesn't make sense to you right now, but I promise you, I'll tell you once I know you're ready… So please, forgive me!"

Ryotaro was quiet, silently staring at the weeping woman in front of him. Taking a moment to sigh, he opened his mouth to speak.

"You know, Mom, I was really mad when you told me." He began. "Then I went and said something so…hurtful." He felt his own eyes begin to tear up. "I don't hate you, Mom… I just… I was just so frustrated that I let my emotions get the better of me. Even when you just wanted to help someone, all I did was lash out without looking at your perspective."

"Ryo…" Karen sniffed and went to hug her son, holding the boy to her bosom. "It really hurt me when you said you hated me, but I also knew that you were scared about leaving your friends. But I promise, you'll be able to see them again, especially during break. So please…forgive me."

"I should be the one who's sorry…" Ryotaro bowed his head in apology, hugging her back. "I didn't even want to say any of those things. There was just…something inside of me that snapped. Like a darker emotion that came into play."

'A darker emotion? Could it be…?' Karen's thoughts went back to the wisp beast that stood before her a moment ago. Sighing, she released the hug but kept her hands on her son's shoulders. "My little wolf…perhaps its time I told you more about your father."

"Huh? Dad?" Ryotaro blinked. "What's that about? And why now?"

Taking a deep breath, she gazed back at him and he couldn't help but be taken aback by the seriousness in her eyes. "Because just before you got back here, you were in a wolf-like form. It may be a bit wisp-like compared to a usual beast transformation-type Quirk, but that was without a doubt a similar form to what your father's Quirk let him turn into." She then entered a thinking pose. "It was honestly surprising seeing you in that form. I guess being feral and your looks aren't the only thing you inherited from Yusaku."

"… Excuse me, I did what?"

AN: Cut scene! So how was it? Good? Bad? Honestly I feel like I clutched this today, so it'll feel completely rushed like I said above XD

Anyways, until next time!
