An even longer than normal chapter for this story

I watched the show recently during the lockdown and I realised that the character of Chloe Sullivan isn't as much of a goodie as you might think. She violates people's privacy for the sake of her journalism even that of her friends and that was just when she was in High School. She gets into much more shady stuff later on as Watchtower.

As for the actress, yikes.

Given your inability to even write a simple review I don't think you should be allowed to criticize my stories.

Semblance should work as its power from the soul and all humans should be able to use it. Pokegirls are pretty close to humans so it should work them too. Not sure about the clones as they aren't real people. I don't think that going to the hunter's school would be a good idea as I didn't watch much of the show. Maybe a private tutor he visits between other adventures is the way to go, he has the time and the money for such things.

I think six girls is a big enough harem. Faith, Chloe, Twilight, Velma, Emma and Dasiy. I can focus mostly on the humans with some attention on the pokes while the clones aren't important, that way he has a big enough harem without them needing too much of the SI's attention.

Part 8

Smallville. Kanas.

"Yo boss, sorry I'm late," Faith said more than a little sarcastically as she entered the two-bedroomed apartment that I would keep renting even while away "I was busy doing whatever I want, whenever I feel like it".

Already I regretted taking the Dark Slayer out of stasis while I spent my time planning out where we would visit next and she didn't like this town, becoming bored easily, but that was no excuse for not following my commands. After all, we had a magically binding contract so she needed to do her job bad things could happen to her.

As Faith approached the couch I looked up from the papers I'd been studying and I saw that she wearing black combat boots over fishnet stockings that ran up underneath her dark red coloured leather shorts. Her midriff was bare as she wore a black corset looking thing that looked sexy. Her hair was all curled and wild, and she had a little more makeup on her beautiful face than normal.

"I would have hurried but I figured you had this," Faith said while folding her arms under her large tits "You know I'm not good at the research, its boring Watcher stuff".

Judging by the way she was dressed and how frustrated she appeared to be I quickly figured out that she'd been off trying to get some attention from the local boys, she couldn't do much more than flirt because of the magical contract, and because I'd been paying Chloe a lot of attention recently. Faith might be feeling unfulfilled.

"That's not the point," I said "I'm the boss and I told you that we'd be planning out our next trip. Granted I don't need help, even if I would like your input, but you should have been here".

Perhaps she was jealous of Chloe? She didn't care about the clones or the pokegirls, but they spent most of their time stored away or working and I didn't give them as much attention as I gave the humans in my life.

"I hear ya," Faith said rather dismissively. "5 by 5, boss".

Things were not five by five.

"Over my knees" I ordered, "Its time I teach you some respect"

She had to follow my commands, it was in her contract, as such she did nothing as I yanked Faith down onto my lap with one hand and pulled her shorts down with the other hand. Despite wanting to correct her behaviour I soon felt my hard cock pressed and poking her flat stomach as my hand felt her tight ass that she'd pushed up. Being a Slayer meant that Faith's pale ass was tough with just enough plumpness to jiggle when I brought my hand down.

Slap

"Ow!" she shouted out

I was sure that had been more in surprise than pain what with her superpowers

Slap

"Ow!"

Slap

"Ow!"

Slap

At this point in the spanking, she made a moaning noise that could be due to enjoyment or discomfort I couldn't tell.

Slap

"Ow!"

Slap

"Ow!"

Slap

"That hurts!" she let me know.

This went on for a while and as Faith's sexy ass reddened under the onslaught of my hand I became more aroused. Not just because I was a butt lover, but because I had a real sense of power over this very strong young woman. I didn't know if this was happening to due to my own pervertedness or because the person whose memories I'd inherited had a very old fashioned sense of how to treat naughty girls, and I didn't much care.

"Have you had enough, Faith?" I asked

As I spoke I stroked her reddened ass-cheeks.

"Can you hit me some more?" she requested "And do it harder?".

Lucky for me I could heal myself or before long I'd be the one who needed to take a break because of how sore my hand would have been, and slayers are tough so it took some effort for me to spank her long enough for her to ask me to stop.

"Had enough?" I asked again.

It seemed so.

"Y... Yes, sir," Faith replied.

I didn't know she if felt remorse for her behaviour or this was just an act, if it was an act then it was a good one.

"Thanks, boss," she said when she kneeled in front of me "I needed that".

As she spoke she released her large breasts for her bra/corset/thing making it clear that she wanted to do more.

"Have you really learned your lesson?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Yeah I guess I need a firm hand to keep me from misbehaving," she said while giving me a bit of a smile "I don't want to screw up the good deal I've got going so do me a favour and keep me inline, don't worry I can take whatever you can dish out".

Now I was wondering if all slayers liked to be hurt. All that violence in their lives had to have some effect on them like some sort of PTSD.

"And what do you say to your boss?" I asked as pulled on one of Faith's barbells.

"Thank you, sir," Faith said "Thanks for keeping me with you".

As I played with her pierced nipples she started to moan.

"If you're grateful then you should thank me properly" I instructed.

Faith stood up and stripped before she submissively got back down on her knees and after getting my cock in her hands. She bent down and lightly kissed the head before looking meekly up at me.

"Thank you," she said

She then swallowed my dick and I held on to some of Faith's hair as she obediently blew me

Smallville. Kanas.

"I can't believe that you're really going," said Clark Kent as he lifted a heavy box off the back of the truck "You barely know this guy and you're just leaving with him".

For Chloe, it wasn't quite that simple, she hadn't simply decided to leave, she'd given it a lot in the way of though. Going so far as to box up all the stuff she didn't need in case she didn't come back for a few years. The Traveller had offered to store all of her stuff for her in something called a capsule, but she'd decided to take Clark up on the offer to store her stuff in the barn here on his family's farm if only because it gave her an excuse to come back someday.

"I know him well enough" she assured her best friend "and it's not like I'll never come back".

Chloe still had every intention of becoming a famous journalist, and she knew that she'd a better writer with some more life experiences behind her.

"Lots of people go travelling," she said next "I'm just taking a sabbatical year or two before I go to college for my journalism degree".

Going to college would be much easier then as The Traveller had generously offered to help out with the costs. Given that he had billions of dollars worth of gold stored away her college fees would be next to nothing. Not that she wanted to use her new friend for his money, it was just that she would want to return to her life one day and she might as make sure that she could do so easily.

"Call me if you get into any trouble" Clark Kent insisted "Remember I can run really fast".

Chloe figured that it would be simple enough to return to this dimension just to send her friends some postcards or to call them up and let them know what she was okay. As for her friend's offer, where she was going not, even the superpowered farmboy would be able to find her, only she wasn't going to tell him that. He'd totally freak out if he knew how far away she was going.

"I won't be all by myself," she told the future Superman "There's seven of us".

Two cloned slave girls, two pokegirls, two companions and one Traveller. Chloe didn't approve of slavery, yet she tolerated The Traveller owning cloned people and pokegirls because he a lot to offer her. She'd also promised herself that she would let him enslave anyone else.

"Yeah seven people I know nothing about," said Clark as they finished moving the boxes "Please be careful".

She promised that she would and before leaving she hugged her friend while making her goodbyes.

Silverymoon. The Forgotten Realms.

Since there were still a few things that I wanted to acquire, such as cool magical weapons for Faith and I, as well as a magical education for me, I'd thought long and hard about where we needed to go. I'd settled on the Forgotten Realms as this place had awesome enchanted items and magic that pretty much anyone could learn as long as they devoted themselves to learning it.

Assuming that the Attunement Power that I'd gotten from the Planar Agency worked as intended I should be able to use the spells from this world when in other universes despite the lack of what was called The Weave, or at least in theory. I intended to test out some very minor spells in other universes before fully devoting myself to learning local wizardry.

I had to test it because the goddess Mystra controlled the Weave which was the main medium for channelling the arcane energies of Toril. The people of the realms can't use raw magic, not directly. Instead, they manipulate the Weave, and it manipulates the magic for them or something like that. I didn't have all the details yet, hence the need for a proper magical education.

Already I had some knowledge of the magic of this world such as knowing that the goddess Shar controlled the Shadow Weave, a dark and distorted imitation of the Weave which flowed in-between its empty space. Also, I knew that divine magic was drawn from specific deities and therefore not influenced by either Mystra or Shar as evidenced by the fact it continued to work when other arcane magic ceased to function. Historically this made it the most reliable form of magic.

Learning the magic of the Forgotten Realms could be fun in this world because even if it didn't work by the rules of the tabletop game, this world seems to support the idea that if you want to become the best warrior/rogue/wizard possible then it's better to gain experience by doing things than staying in a classroom, as such I should have some chances for me and some of my girls to venture out for some questing, and this could result in finding or being rewarded with some very cool stuff.

"Look there's Silverymoon," I told them.

The major northern city Silverymoon which was often dubbed 'the Gem of the North', as it emulated the lost elven city of Myth Drannor in many respects, could be seen from the cockpit of the Puddle Jumper. This city was one of the few truly civilised places in the middle of the rough and untamed wilderness that was the north of Faerûn. It had a rich cultural life and the city was renowned as a meeting place for all races that were morally inclined towards good. Even the occasional drow with good intentions (most notably the famous ranger Drizzt Do'Urden) could find hospitality in the city of Silverymoon.

The city was also famous for its pervading tradition of magic and was home to many notable wizards, sorcerers and other mages. One of its permanent structures, the Moonbridge, was created by magic. That was something I really wanted to see.

"It's not far from here" I informed my harem "Daisy land us somewhere around here, somewhere the Jumper won't be found".

The ship could be cloaked, but that wouldn't help much if someone walked into it.

"What's in Silverymoon?" Faith asked, "Something silvery I bet".

Well possibly lots silvery things if she was hinting at getting some shiny weapons, she seemed to have started a collection. I could imagine her having swords, axes and knives hung up on her bedroom along with some posters of bands she liked.

"You'll see," I said, "I promise shopping and cool magical items".

Hopefully, Faith, Chloe, Velma and Twilight would enjoy themselves, however, I didn't think they'd have as much fun as me. I knew a lot about the city, as I was a major nerd and thus I had more than The Traveller's memories to go on while here.

"Come on girls," I said as the Jumper began to land "Time for our next adventure".

Once Daisy was safely tucked away in her stasis pod, which was for the best as the cloned slaves existed only to serve me and as such they were slaves, they also acted as such, and since slavery was illegal in most places it wasn't a good idea to let people met them.

"Hold," a guardsman called out as we got close to the city's main gate "State your names, and your business here in the Gem of the North".

Given what the man had just called the city that we were trying to enter I figured that we were in the right place. Not that I would have mistaken it as there weren't a lot of cites in the Silver Marches.

"I am The Traveller," I told the guard

The title meant nothing to him, but I took pride in it. Besides given what I knew of magic it wasn't wise to go around using your real name.

"These are my associates," I said while gesturing to each of my girls. "Faith the warrior is my bodyguard. Also with me, I have Chloe Sullivan and Velma, they are scholars who've come to see the city and Twilight is a sorceress here to learn more about magic".

There was no need to lie to anyone as long as you used the truth carefully.

"Our business is mostly to explore the city," I told the guard "We are new to the Silver Marshes, and we are also looking to met traders as we have a few goods from far off lands".

By far off lands I met other worlds, but they didn't need to know that.

"And we need to find someone who can exchange gemstones and gold for the local currency" I also said, "Can you help us with that".

The gate guards, who took down our names, read us a long list of rules, telling us that duelling and offensive spell casting was forbidden while in the city. Then after being directed to where we needed to go we were allowed inside and within we found cobblestone streets and wooden houses inside the city's walls, which were two to three-story mostly, but a few were a bit bigger. Carts and wagons were moving in the streets. People of all different types, some well dressed, some in little better than rags, at least when compared to the clothes I was used to, were all moving up and down the sidewalks. It wasn't that different from a city on Earth in some ways.

What was unlike cities back home was that there were different species, not just animals, but people. Dwarves, elves, hobbits (or halflings as they were called here) and some I didn't even know. Also, there were a lot of trees in Silverymoon and a rather nice breeze which meant that this place didn't stink much for a city that didn't have proper sanitation.

After some currency exchange and information gathering we wandering some more until we settled into the Shining Scroll tea house and bookstore, which was a large establishment that catered to what appeared to be a student crowd. It was quiet and given over to reading, study and peaceful conversation. The place was built near a large cluster of buildings done in marble and in a classical style that practically screamed university.

According to what I picked up from the nice lady at this world's version of a tourist information office, the year we'd appeared in was many years after the battle for Mithril Hall, and I could only recall the contents of the Drizzt book series with any clearness up until that event. I did learn that the goddess of magic had returned and that magic was mostly stable again so this seemed like a good time to come study.

"Is that the school?" Twilight asked.

Just be sure I consulted the map I'd brought, and then the book which explained about different parts of the city. It had been written by a rather good writer or at least a hard-working one as his name had been on quite a few books at what passed for Silverymoon's tourist information office.

"That the Lady's College," I told the purple-haired pokegirl "It trains wizards not just in spellcraft, but in the history of magic. Students are provided with rooms in the college's rambling housing-halls, and meals in the college's refectory. The food, and particularly the wine that goes with it, is surprisingly good this book claims, and meals are often accompanied by dance, minstrelsy, literary readings, or displays of entertaining illusions".

I read out some more.

"Many of the "Masters of Art" (tutors) are crusty or strange-minded, but the college teaches tolerance, cooperation, and an appreciation for differing philosophies and approaches to magic. All students are exposed to every school of spells, to see if they have the desire or aptitude to specialise. The college accommodates just over a hundred students at a time, with an ever-lengthening waiting list to get in. Naive hopefuls who show up at the gates are put on the list, taken in, and taught to do the cooking, laundry, cleaning, and repair work around the university. If they continue to do such tasks, they'll be given room and board and allowed to peruse limited portions of the Conclave libraries on their own, until their time comes to join the student body".

While drinking the teas we'd all ordered I went through the book to see if there was any way around the waiting period. I could just throw some gold at the people in charge so that I could jump to the head of the line and hope that it didn't cause resentment, but I wanted to check first.

"Just let me read up on the college and then we'll go shopping" I promised my girls.

Shops. Silverymoon

Once I'd done reading up on the college and I'd made an appointment to speak with someone about attending the magical university, the girls I hit the town, getting around to the shopping I'd promised. However, while most of the girls wanted shiny things I'd taken us to places where adventures spent their gold. After all, there was no reason they couldn't get jewellery that was both stylish and enchanted.

We all already owned enchanted items, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to own sets that were useful for different times. A set of magical items, such a ring and an amulet that enhanced fighting skills would be useful along with a set that made the work of the mind easier. That way I could swap them around depending on if I was travelling the multiverse or researching when at home.

Right now we were looking at swords as I needed something with more power behind it than my augmented steel sword. That weapon had served me well enough back when I'd been competing at the special tournament at Camelot, where it was unwise to display anything magical, but now that I had a lot of money to throw around it was time to upgrade.

"Taragarth, nicknamed the Bloodbrand, is a magic bastard sword or short sword, depending on the what the wielder wants" I read out from the book the gnome weapons dealer, who owned this store, had lent me "The blade of Taragarth appears as if it had been tarnished by fire, save for along its edges, which gleam. Just above the cross-guard, a rune is etched into the metal of the blade, this is thought to be maker's mark, although no ones knew made the weapon".

Silverymoon kept very good records, every magical item in the shops had been studied and its history recorded before going on sale. Which in my view had been a very smart thing to do as it was unwise for anyone to use a magical item that they didn't know anything about.

"That's a nasty thing to call a sword" Chloe commented as looked around, "and how can it be born out of wedlock, or is it just an insult to the people who use that kind of sword?".

I tried my best to explain.

"A bastard sword is a two-handed sword that can be held one hand, so they're not quite single or two-handed weapons," I told the young woman who'd dressed as best she could so as to blend in "They don't belong in either category, hence the term".

I then got back to talking about the sword before me.

"Even if the blade is sheathed, the bearer of Taragarth will be protected from extrasensory perception and all detection spells, that could be handy" I was now saying "Once drawn, the bearer will also be protected from flames as if they are wearing a ring of fire resistance and if they fall more than ten feet, they will be affected by a feather fall spell. This sword has a knack for cutting through foes, allowing a wide swing to affect multiple surrounding opponents".

That sounded super sweet.

"I kinda want it for me," Faith said, "if it can turn into a short sword it'd be easy to hide".

That was a good reason for her to take the sword as unlike me she simply couldn't store things in her own hammerspace and the inside of a pouch of holding could get cluttered. But the book contained information on a sword that I felt would be even better suited for her.

Albruin was an intelligent, +3 enchanted broadsword that was particularly destructive to undead creatures The sword was forged from an alloy of steel, electrum, and silver. When drawn from its scabbard, the blade emitted an eerie blue glow that extended a few meters away out from the wielder if he or she wished it to be there.

According to the record, the sword had somewhat of a mischievous personality and had little interest in fame or glory, preferring to be wielded by those who travelled the span of Toril. Its personality would come out more in while it found itself within interesting locales such as ancients ruins or seldom-explored caverns. Faith went with me to many interesting places that should make the sword happy.

Also, due to the silver within the blade, Albruin was particularly damaging to undead, lycanthropes, and other creatures vulnerable to that substance. This made it rather well suited for a Slayer who often found themselves in combat with supernatural creatures.

It was an intelligent blade that communicated via speech, and telepathy. In addition to possessing the power of speech in a number of languages, it could understand both written word both mundane and magical. I didn't need that since I went and got my own translater powers, but it might be handy for Faith.

The wielder of Albruin was able to, at will, concentrate the blade's power and continuously detect invisible objects that were nearby. This power also allowed Albruin's bearer to cast neutralize poison once per day, cure moderate wounds three times per day and detect magic at will. If Albruin's bearer was unconscious, or otherwise incapacitated, it could decide to use these powers so long as it was still in contact with them. Faith's powers all worked to enhance her battle, as such having a sword which could magic for her, could come in very handy, something I explained to her.

"Yeah, I'll take that one" decided Faith "A talking magic sword made for taking down the undead is just what a Slayer needs".

After buying our weapons I decided to go to the local university for an appointment so that I could find out how my application was coming along.

Camp. Dungeon Keeper Earth.

From the scraps of information that I'd picked up so far, mostly from old newspapers, that some merchants here collected to sell to scholars, and people who fancied a chat once you brought them a beer, it was clear that this world was not doing so well when compared to some versions of the Earth I'd been to and I'd lived through most of 2020.

The first major event that had signalled the end of the modern world in this universe was a series of massive earthquakes that had struck the west coast of the United States and parts of Asia. Then a tidal wave had then all but wiped New York City off the map and other parts of the world had been hit by intense weather as well. Parts of Japan had sunk into the sea according to one front-page headline and a great dust storm had hit Egypt not that long after Japan started sinking.

Bad weather had cut down on oversees trade as ships were sunk. The oil had started running out which meant less petrol for cars and trucks further limiting trade. Rationing had started over the summer and for a while, good old fashioned British upper lip had kept my nation of birth from falling into the chaos other countries had started succumbing to.

By the end of the summer of the first year, with all the bad stuff started happening, a Blitz like attitude took root in the country of my birth. Which made sense as it wouldn't have been the first time Britannia had suffered like this. World War Two had caused rationing and such but rather than fall into despair people had become really patriotic. The country might have endured in some form if not for one thing. The Dungeon Keepers had risen up and started attacking the surface world.

If they'd tried that a year before, back before all the disasters I doubt they would have lasted long but with the weather going nuts and the still accessible oil wells drying up they'd enjoyed more success than they should have. By all accounts in the newspapers and reports from the locals, some of whom had been around back then, I figured there must be thousands of Keepers under the Earth's surface perhaps tens of thousands or even more. It wasn't as if there shortage of underground for them to be in.

There were reports and stories about thousands of creatures attacking many major population centres all at the same time which as I would expect maximised the amount of chaos. Only a massive alliance of Keepers could have pulled something like that off and even then they must have suffered major losses.

I could imagine that fighting the creatures under the control of the Keepers would be a major effort. Planes couldn't bomb underground kingdoms after all and many of the creatures had popped up in the most densely inhabited areas. Few pilots would willingly bomb cities they were meant to protect as part of their nations armed forces, and by the time the people had evacuated the damage was done. The creatures simply fled back into their underground domains.

The Keepers would have lost tens of thousands of creatures when the army got called in and martial law was declared. But then the Dungeon Keeper collapsed tunnels and retreated beneath the surface of the Earth. Sure the army tunnelled down after them but then they'd been fighting the Keepers on their turf having little or no idea what to expect.

In the end, the sheer weight of numbers on humanities side would have carried the day in many a battle and the papers did report a few victories, stuff about underground enemy settlements being collapsed with explosives. There was even mention of camps being set for the study of captured creatures. Concentration camps for monsters, what a world.

As I pieced together a picture I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the odd environmental conditions or the monster attacks that had brought around the end of modern Human civilization nor was it magic being used to attack Mankind (one of which was a zombie making plague no points for originality there), what had really doomed civilization was how people had reacted.

There been huge riots. Mass exoduses of the major cities. Entire nations become isolationists, closing of their boarders and hoarding their resources. Religious groups had helped things along preaching the end of days had come at last, and that the invading creatures were demons from hell, although in the case of Bile Demons their words did have a grain of truth in them.

People in many parts of the world quickly succumbed to despair. Suicide rates went through the roof. The extremist Muslims blamed the decadent west and the decadent west was blaming every from the Jews to the Homosexuals. All in all the world had gone to crap.

There were reports recorded into my Omni-tool of armies of skeletons marching towns and cities. Most had been utterly destroyed by tanks, planes and cruise missiles but the Vampires had proved harder to wipe out. Hardly a shock give that unless they were low levels vamps or they got destroyed by a holy man the undead would just rise up again in the lairs they called home. Some types of vampires could do that The Traveller had seen it happen.

Some Dungeon Keepers command ghosts who were able to possess people. Clever use of such spirits could lead to a lot of chaos for anyone challenging a Keeper. Soldiers could be taken over and used to attack their fellows. Leaders must have been possessed so as to cause confusion and the ghosts would have used any borrowed meat-suit to cause acts of sabotage.

Magic had also proven to be a major problem for the people living on the surface world. For example, high-level Warlocks were able to teleport, they could pop somewhere attack using fireballs and such, then disappear before any of the armies could deal with them.

On top of all that there were reports about soldiers disappearing who later were seen fighting on the enemy's side. Urban warfare made for some good cover for the kidnapping of troops who after spending some time with the Dark Mistresses would be sent back to the surface world to fight those they'd once called friends.

As I read more articles and recorded more stories, I found out that the Keepers hadn't always done so well. The Navy enjoyed a lot of success because the Keepers had no means to attack ships at sea unless they had dragons.

There were also reports of dragons being shot down in the hundreds by the RAF. But since the economy had collapsed and the industries that military relied upon to supply them with weapons had been forced to shut down, it had simply become a matter of time before the Keepers could march their armies upon the surface of the Earth unopposed by any real organised resistance.

Given all that it seemed rather alarming that I even dare to venture into this dimension yet here I was. My girls and I, we'd come here via a planar gate after visiting Sigil in order to find a wizard who'd gone to the magical college I was trying to get in as he would give out recommendations for those who joined adventuring bands here in this world, which you could reach from Sigil using a portal the wizard had set up.

The Dungeon Keepers didn't rule this world, at least not the surface and while they had spread out to other dimensions there were people from many worlds trying to stop them, and there was even civilization of sorts here. Creatures of light, as well as those of a more neutral nature, had to counter the Keepers and there were safe zones guarded by everything from angels to friendly giants that contained many people from many races.

There were also the camps, one of which my harem and I had been exploring, these catered to those adventures who went down into dungeons with the intent of destroying a big crystal known as the Dungeon Heart, the only known way to slay a Keeper or to drive them away from an area if they had multiple dungeons as the more powerful Keepers had than one.

While doing that was very dangerous even when dealing with a new Keeper it could be very profitable as successful Keepers could amass great wealth even if they hadn't been around for that long. So if you had the means and the will to face traps, monsters and the Keeper themself, who could take corporal form, then you could make some good money.

The camps served as safe havens and trading posts for the adventures who moved around while looking for vulnerable dungeons (the more well-established dungeons could only be handled by experienced dungeon delvers) to attack as new ones were still popping up. Since destroying even a minor dungeon could be profitable the camps were needed in order to ensure the adventures were well supplied and stuff to spend their hard-earned treasure on.

As for the wizard who was putting together adventurer parties to attack dungeons, and to slay monsters who roamed the surface (not all of whom served a Keeper) I would have to delay my meeting with him as I'd ran into myself.

To be more precise I'd run into an alternate version of myself, he was called Gothic Planeswalker, and as the name might suggest he walked the planes, he was basically a more magical version of myself and he had a sort of harem as well. With him was Morgana Pendragon, not the same version I'd seen during my time at Camelot, as well as Daenerys Targaryen, who'd been deposed in her version of Game of Thrones, and a post-Hogwarts Hermione Granger who wore a somewhat sexy schoolgirl outfit for some reason that I felt sure made sense to her.

When he met my girls, Velma, Twilight, Faith and Chloe, he seemed amused that I had named my sorceress pokegirls after the Princess of Friendship, and he wouldn't tell me why he just smirked. Twilight the pokegirl became rather annoyed by this and since her kind of pokegirl could be overly emotional, although less so than the breed they evolved from, she had a sulk session because Gothic Planeswalker wouldn't let her on the joke.

Not that I paid this much attention as while inheriting my powers and memories from the Traveller had prepared me for many strange sights, meeting myself wasn't one of them so I'd needed some time to get to grasps with it all. I'd never been one of those people who saw himself as unique, as a special snowflake, even as a dimensional traveller, but actually seeing proof that you are just one of many versions of yourself takes a little time to process.

Velma spouted off something about the many worlds theory and something about the two of having come from alternate timelines and how our paths had diverged at some point in the past with me going one way and him another. Given that Gothic Planeswalker had died/ascended in order to gain his power then whatever it was that made us go our separate ways could have easily been lethal for me if I'd made a different choice.

Faith dealt with it quite well knowing all about the Wishverse and making a joke about how if neither of us had goatees then who knew which of us was the evil twin. Chloe was more freaked out than anyone about all this, and that made sense since she was the newest to all of this and needed to go sit down for a while.

We all ended up sitting down in a big tent that served as a tavern as Gothic Planeswalker, who'd been at this the longest, took charge of the situation and offered me magical arms and armour, payment in advance, for my groups help in securing a dungeon long enough for him to capture a Dungeon Heart so that he could pump full of White Mana to be used a magical battery. This was part of some big project he was working on.

He was supposed to be going on this quest with yet another version of myself, but since getting a precise ETA on inter-dimensional travel was next to impossible it looked as if Gothic Planeswalker would need the help of my group.

"I wouldn't go down there with any fancy tech" warned the Planeswalker "Some types of magic can interfere with technology, causing it to break down, the more advanced the tech the more problems the magical energies can cause to happen".

After getting electronic copies of a book written by the other me, we all our Omni-tools away for safekeeping. Then the World Walker took a special deck of cards and used it to make two items, as in the cards transformed themselves into a set of armour like the stuff he wore and an axe, both of which were supposedly unbreakable. In more primitive worlds the darksteel armour would pass as a fancy suit of armour, unlike the power armour that wouldn't blend in. As for the axe, I knew how to use one nearly as well as a sword.

After getting a fancy looking Silver-Inlaid Dagger to enhance her in battle Faith soon disappeared to get changed for this mission while it was decided that Velma, Chloe and the Mother of Dragons would wait here since they had little experience in fighting. Twilight, who would be coming with us, got the Skyblinder Staff and paying for that with mana forced Gothic Planeswalker to take out mox gems from one of his pouches of holding.

I didn't think that was all just payment for the services my group would soon supply. He was trying to make sure that those in my group who would be doing the fighting were well equipped, not just for this mission, but also in the future. This was generous of him.

"And I'll give you a Kite Shield that when combined with combined the axe and armour should have you ready to take anything short of warrior demon or a dragon, and low-level Keepers never have such powerful monsters" Gothic Planeswalker was now saying "I don't have enough full mox diamonds for anything else".

Since I was actually rather excited about going on my first dungeon crawl I would have done it for less than a full set of equipment that along with my powers, enchantments and skills, should make me one of the most formidable human fighters in this universe at least.

Faith soon returned and we all discovered that rather than go and change into her proper armour she'd put on some sort of bikini armour that must have come from Mareth.

"There's no way that will keep you safe" I heard Hermione Granger say "You might as well go into battle in your underwear".

Faith didn't agree.

"The armour is magic" she replied "It protects me with magic so it doesn't need to cover much. This way I can fight without armour slowing me down, and be protected".

She wasn't being silly, this was actually how the armour worked. The metal parts were just needed so there would be something to be enchanted and it gave any female wearing the armour an advantage due to how distracting her appearance would be in and out of battle. Something that I mentioned to the Slayer.

"Distraction is kind of the whole point, boss" Faith said.

"I meant for me," I told her.

Twilight came to my aid with a cloak she'd had in one of her pouches, and of course, she had one because she was a mage. Oddly the look rather suited Faith and didn't show anything from behind.

Dungeon. Dungeon Keeper Earth.

A hail of what I felt sure were poisoned tipped darts filled the air and did nothing to any of us due to the kinetic barriers that protected us. Despite the warning about technology breaking down in some dungeons, I'd decided that we would keep the barrier generators on our person just in case. Now I felt glad we had as while poisons had no effect on me and I could heal the others, there were weak points in my armour so getting shot with darts would have hurt. Besides I'd made sure that we'd plenty of spares.

Some Keepers went with a theme, choosing only to accept certain creatures into their service and styling their dungeons in ways that supported this theme. For some reason, this Keeper liked the evil little creatures known as goblins, building an army of them had let to his or her dungeon becoming a bit of mess and to use having to kill a lot of goblins.

Faith barely seemed to notice as she was having way too much fun. Her new sword wasn't meant for fighting goblins, its favoured prey being undead, but it did a fine enough job, its edge making short work of the crude armour the monsters wore as slicing open flesh. The Dark Slayer drove herself into battle, bringing death to our foes.

It wasn't until we entered some sort of communal sleeping area that Twilight and I needed to do anything other than try to keep up. Faith got to far ahead in her eagerness (Slayers weren't known for teamwork when fighting) so Twilight and I did our best to keep ourselves alive. My pokegirl was superior to most human mages in a fight despite her lack of any bloodlust so I was free to focus on killing my foes. Even if she died I could bring her back as long her body was mostly intact and I didn't get distracted by more goblins. Not that I wanted her to experience death.

My new Darksteel axe felt surprisingly light as I caved in the skull of a goblin before swinging the weapon so hard that a goblin who'd been able to attack my side got hit so hard in the face that its whole body span around before hitting the floor of the warren. I moved again, and the axe hit a taller goblin in the shoulder. Not a lethal injury, but it was out of the fight.

It seemed as if no time at all had passed when the enemy stopped coming, and we'd become separated from Faith so all we could do was press on the Dungeon Heart. Along the way, we passed by a torture chamber and found a couple of Dark Mistresses, they did have an allure about them, but the dominatrix look did nothing for me.

One of them tried to whip me while calling me a naughty boy, but alas for her the gifts from Gothic Planeswalker made far more powerful in battle than any monster that a low-level Keeper could command so when I pulled on the whip the Dark Mistress came towards me to her surprise and ended up getting knocked out.

Twilight blasted the other one before we ended up dragging them into the cells they kept their captives in, who turned out to be two cute little elf girls who'd been stripped down to their knickers and then made to share a small cell the poor dears. I freed these fair maidens, unlocking their cell with my telekinetic powers, and both knelt before me.

"Thank you, brave warrior, for freeing us," they said in unison.

"Twin elves," said my magical pokegirl "Twin births are very rare with elves, at least in my world".

I didn't care about their rarity.

"Will you ravish us?" one of them asked.

Well, they could be a little cleaner, but they both looked so hopeful and grateful. Alas for me there was no time.

"This dungeon will collapse you should run for it," I said.

I really wanted to take the sister elves to my pocket dimension for a good ravaging, but I had a job to do, and I'd promised Gothic Planeswalker my help. I might be Chaotic Neutral, at least somewhat, in that I was neither good nor evil, and I cared for my own freedom above all else, but a man that didn't keep his promises to the best of his ability wasn't really a man. My moral code was flexible, yet it still existed to I would keep my word.

While the twin elf girls ran off, hopefully, they'd make it out alive by themselves as I could not teleport them out while down here, the Dungeon Heart prevented it as long as I was within its range, so they would have to risk it. As for the Dark Mistresses, when a Dungeon Heart had been destroyed parts of the surrounding dungeon would collapse, meaning they could get buried alive, or be left to die a prolonged death. That was way crueller than just killing them, but they'd tried to whip me.

We soon found ourselves in the treasury, and there we linked back up with Faith, who admiring some shiny stuff, picking out some gemstones.

"Faith we have billions of dollars worth of gold" I reminded her.

She shrugged and we moved on as a trio, soon finding Gothic Planeswalker using his magic to dispatch the imps, the workers of a dungeon, who were the last line of defence for the Dungeon Heart.

"Watch my back" he ordered.

While he did something to the Dungeon Heart the rest of us kept the last of the imps, who were fast little buggers from interfering, and when they vanished I knew that the job was done. The Planeswalker had banished the Keeper without destroying the Heart and how he had his fancy crystal battery.

I didn't blow a fuse upon finding out that my recommendation and my piles of gold would not gain me quick entry into the college. As it turned out spending time as a servant was supposed to teach a person who wanted to become a mage some humility before they began their magical education. I'd worked a min wage job before and they don't teach you anything other than how to get by doing the least amount of work possible.

"Well, that was a total waste of time," I complained to Twilight.

I'd been hoping to make use of the pokegirl as a research assistant as there would no point in her learning the spells of this world due to her lack of the Attunement power, but she'd been curious about the theory side of things and how magic here worked when compared to her world. I could get her some books on the subject so as to satisfy that curiosity.

"Sorry, Master," she said.

I might be immortal, but I wasn't going to waste my time cooking meals and washing other people's clothes, not when I had the whole multiverse out there waiting for me. Besides this wasn't the only school of magic, far from it and there were other paths to power. Not that there was any rush to acquire more power as there were plenty of worlds out there that I could explore with minimal risk.

"No matter, we can pick up some books before we leave," I told the pokegirl.

Perhaps once I got the others out of stasis I'd speak to Chloe and ask her what sort of thing she'd like to see. After all, I'd invited her along with the promise of some amazing sights.
