Nymphadora ended up spending the night in the empty bedroom that Sirius had told her she was always welcome to. It was Tuesday, which meant she had to be up and out the door for work. She rolls over in the large double bed that took up most of the room and sighs, trying to work out when she would be able to get her stuff. For the second night in a row, she had slept at Grimmauld Place and would be wearing worn clothes to work. Dreading this thought, she gets up and pulls on her trousers and tank top from the previous day before heading down to the kitchen.
To her surprise, it is bursting with activity. On her way down the stairs, she can hear many different voices, all talking over each other. Molly stood at the stove, cooking up some eggs and bacon. Arthur sat at the head of the table with a cup of tea and a newspaper. The twins, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron all sat together at the other end of the table, passing around a piece of paper when Molly wasn't looking. Finally, Sirius sat on the couch by the fire, admiring the commotion after so many years of solitude.
"Tonks!" Molly calls. "Come, sit."
She pulls up a chair on the end of the table near her children. Nymphadora sits, still conscious of her outfit choice.
"Wotcher," she greets the kids. She glances over her shoulder to ensure Molly wasn't looking and whispers, "What's that?"
Fred and George snicker. They pass her the paper under the table. She glances at it wordlessly as Molly starts to serve breakfast. The mystery paper was a… product design? She could only sneak a drawing of a human ear before she had to covertly pass it back. She gives them a wicked smile and winks. After finishing her plate, she stands and goes to join Sirius on the couch.
"Wotcher."
"Morning. Haven't seen you since the other night," he laughs at the memory. "How was your first shift with Remus?"
"Oh, it was alright," she lies, downplaying how happy it had made her. "I do need to ask you something uncomfortable though."
"Nothing could ever be uncomfortable with me."
"You mentioned I was always welcome to the spare bedroom… Well I slept in it last night obviously," she starts nervously. "I finally ended it with Jordan. Can I move in full time?"
He looks pleasantly surprised. "Of course, cous. I meant what I said, even if I was drunk."
After breakfast with the Weasley's, she makes her way to work and decides she would take her lunch break to go retrieve her belongings from her flat. At 1:00, she left the office under the premise of going to pick up lunch, nodding at Mad-Eye as she left. After apparating back to her old neighborhood, she felt a wave of sadness overtake her. There was no turning back now. This life she used to live was over.
She enters the flat confidently, knowing Jordan would be at work. She stalks over to the closet, producing an old box that had an Undetectable Extension Charm on it. She then begins throwing everything in sight that was hers into it. Clothes, pots and pans, pantry items, jewelry, small furniture and décor all flew into the box wordlessly. After clearing the place, as she had contributed to their shared space the most, she closed the box and went back to work as if nothing happened.

As she was leaving for the day, Mad-Eye barked at her from his office.
"Nymphadora!"
"Wotcher, Mad-Eye," she peaks her head in. "You already know what I'm going to say. Don't call me-"
"I don't have time for that," he growls back. "Something's been off about you today. I gave you the day off yesterday. You should be fine."
She sighs, leaning her head against the doorframe. "I broke up with my fiancé."
He laughs a deep, throaty laugh. "You finally dumped that loser?"
She cracks a smile. "Yes, I know you've been waiting for it."
"I just always knew you deserved so much better."

She arrives at her new home after a long day of work, carrying a box that held everything she owned. When she entered, the house was still and dark, as if everyone had gone to bed already. She quietly climbed to the third floor and carefully made her way into her new room. She began unpacking, trying to make the place a little cozier and "Tonks-like." About an hour passes before she realizes she needs to get a good night sleep for once. Gathering her toiletries, she quietly pads out into the hallway toward the bathroom. Suddenly, she feels herself run into something very solid. The something grunts in surprise as she cries, "I'm sorry!" Her clumsiness always found a way to get the best of her. Her toiletries go toppling to the floor as she looks up at who she had bumped into. She met a pair of warm, amber eyes. Remus.
"Oh, wotcher Remus."
"Are you alright?" he chuckles, bending over and helping pick up her things.
"Yes," she replies, bending over as well. "Just clumsy. Always have been."
He looks amused as she nervously gathers her things. He hands her what he had collected, smirking.
"Did you move in today?"
"Sure did."
"Wow, we're neighbors now."
She laughs, smiling up at him. "I guess we are."
