Kagome didn't know what to say.
She wasn't by nature one to refuse a request for help, and moreover it was Sesshoumaru who was asking it. Not only was he an ally, but through Inuyasha, she had even begun to regard him as an eldest brother – going so far as to call him onii-sama when he was feeling particularly benevolent or forgiving.
However, she did not know what helping him would entail. She was a miko, she had duties at the village, and she couldn't simply drop everything without explanation and be at his disposal!
She bit her lip, thinking.
