Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait, my classes just picked back up again! I've been busy but I did not want to keep this chapter waiting. This is a bit of a shorter chapter because I didn't want to drop the pace. Usually, my chapters tend to run short. My limit is a little under 3k. My goal is to push through that limit! Also, check out my other stories! Last Dance is my other Playful Kiss story. If you like Fairy Tail, check out my story Miss Raindrop! As usual, drop a review! I really appreciate it when you leave reviews, it really encourages me! Enjoy!
I do not own Playful Kiss.
She paced around her room with her thumbnail in her mouth. She was changed out of her school uniform and was in her regular clothes. Her hair was down and had on a salmon pink balloon sleeve maxi floral dress on. Auntie told her to clean up well for they had guests coming over in ten minutes. A weird feeling roiled over her stomach as she thought back on the morning's events. She couldn't quite wrap her head around it.
"Idols are going to attend my school? Idols? No, no. This can't be true. Especially when one of them practically implied that I was fat! How rude!" she murmured to herself as she continued to pace.
"Hani, please come downstairs! Our guests are here!" Auntie shouted. Her voice sounded more ecstatic than usual. Hani's stomach dropped at the sound and her bad feeling only increased. The guests got here sooner than she expected. She dropped her thumb from her mouth and released an exasperated breath.
"Coming!" she shouted. She walked out her door and leaned back against it, holding the doorknob between her hands. She willed her bad feeling to disappear away from her. She steeled in her resolved and pushed herself off the door. "Nothing bad is going to happen, your crazy day ended at school. I'm safe from those crazy fangirls and that crappy idol," she reassured herself. She tiptoed to the stairs and started her descent. Before she even stepped down the stairs, she a gregarious amount of cheerful noise coming Auntie and a mix of voices that sounded like the voices of males. She cocked her and shook her head. She got midway down the stairs and glanced into the living room. She stopped in shock and did a double-take.
"No...no, no, no!" She thought anxiously to herself. On Auntie's right couch were five guys sitting there and two guys on their knees laughing jovially with her. Hani was stupefied at what she was witnessing. The teen that jostled her earlier saw her prone form on the steps and smirked. He got up off the floor, gathering everyone's attention. Hani's eyes darted to his moving figure causing her inner countenance to shrink. She wondered why he was even coming towards her. He stopped at the end of the stairs to give a saccharide grin. Hani felt her stomach jump in caution of the grin. She wasn't too keen about it.
"It's so nice to see you again, Miss Oh Hani, right?"
"Of course, I thought we established that earlier in the office?" She duplicated his smile and replied back in a snaky tone. Her nose began to twitch in annoyance.
"Right, that and your wonderful vocabulary."
"That asshole! Two can play this game!" She shouted in her head. Hani continued her walk down the stairs.
"If I remember correctly, you also have a spectacular choice of words-" her left foot slipped on the third to last step, causing her to fly forward towards the boy. His reflexes alerted him and he caught her with his arms around her upper back and waist. Her hands landed on his shoulders. She had her breath knocked out of her when she took a closer look at him. She couldn't see anything else but him. His features reminded her that of a bunny. Then, he smirked. He deliberately moved his head slowly to her right ear.
"All of that bread does go to your ass, feeling how heavy you are for the second time." her eyes widen at what he said and the amusement filling his voice. She promptly shoved him away and cleared her throat.
"Asshole." she hissed under her breath.
"Hm, more of your wonderful vocabulary. I can't wait to hear more of it." he murmured back. Her head snapped up in surprise when she realized that he heard what she murmured. Then, someone cleared their throat.
"I see that you have met Jeongguk already, Hani?" Auntie asked with glee. Hani viewed around the room and saw that her father, Auntie, Uncle, and the guys witnessed what transpired. Her father was mostly baffled, although he didn't hear what was whispered amongst them. He shook his head as he remembered what Jeongguk said about meeting her in the office.
"Well, you could say that..."
"Wait, Hani, why were you in the office again?" her father asked sternly, turning his attention back to her.
"Daddy, it's not what you think-"
"We all met Hani earlier and she led us to the office," Jeongguk spoke up in her defense with his signature bunny smile. Hani fumed when she saw his smile. It was meant to secretly taunt her. She decided to pay him no mind and took a seat next to her father. She glanced around the room to avoid staring at anybody for too long. She felt awkward being in the same room as them, after her colorful display in the principal's office. Then, she noticed, behind the couch the guys were sitting on, a multitude of suitcases and belongings.
"Auntie?" she asked in confusion. The memory of how the principal was saying it was advantageous for to be there was vaguely beginning to make sense. She looked to Auntie and saw the most gleeful expression she had ever seen on her face since she arrived here. Auntie clasped her hands together and gave a mega-wat smile that blinded her eyes.
"I'm sorry, Hani! You rushed out of the house before I could tell you! For the remainder of the school year, these wonderful young men are going to be living with us."
