Hey, guys, sorry for not updating soon. I just want to say thank you for reading and reviewing my story. My mind has been all over the place lately. But this month is the worst :( I feel like I can't overcome it. Writing is my way to cope, so I really appreciate your patience. Thank you for staying :)

Warning: this chapter contains extreme violence.

"If you dance, I'll dance. And if you don't, I'll dance anyway."

Battlefield? I looked at her as if she grew two heads. She was picking up two hand guns and slinging a rifle over her shoulder. She was woman on a mission. She slipped ammo beneath her long over-sized coat and more guns that I could manage to hide under mine.

I took some on me while waiting for her to elaborate. But she hummed a song like she was about to do eight-to-five daily job. What the hell was she thinking?

She pushed the trunk close as I finished collecting what I thought I needed. We put our leather gloves on, then starting to walk into the woods. It was dark and eerie and really, really cold.

"Lottie." I hissed. A cloud of smoke out of my lips and into the blackest night. She owed me explanation she wasn't willing to give. "Tell me what's going on." I gritted, trying to tame my racing heartbeats. If we were going down tonight, no body would save us.

"Surprise attack."

"What?"

She grinned like it didn't bother her at all. "Just don't get yourself killed. Edward will have my head."

We hid behind the trees as an old building came into view. There were three men out there, guarding the place. These men didn't look like Edward's. Not even close. They sporting ugly jackets and unshaved beard. Eyes wary and tired like they had no sleep in days. I wondered what they kept behind closed doors.

Before I could opened my mouth, Lottie jogged closer. Hidden, but eyes on the prey. Game in mind. It wasn't the time to ask questions as she raised her Beretta and took the aim. I cursed loudly and ran towards her as she dodged the bullets they shot back.

We hid behind the bushes when I finally caught with her. She didn't even spare me a glance. I saw what she saw as two men looked around with wild eyes. One out cold on his back. Blood spilling over his head. Their angry eyes searching in the dark. But Lottie already pulled another shot before they walked towards us. I ran and ducked behind the tree, snatching the gun from my inside pocket because I didn't have a choice. My aims didn't go that smooth. It took me four shots when it finally hit the target.

Lottie ran towards the main front door, passing by those three lifeless bodies as if they meant nothing. Bloods everywhere. I winced at scene in front of me, but she was indifferent as ever.

She opened the door with a loud crack, gun ready. I tailed close behind as we entered a dim room. No one was here. Well, not for long apparently. Fires shot out of hallway and we spread out immediately, dodging while hit back at the same time. I found Lottie across the room, hiding behind the wall. Rifle up. Fuck. She was really gonna use it. Smirked at me as the bullets rained on them. It was insanely chaos. I peeked from behind the couch and watched them fall over one by one. They didn't stand a chance. Lottie was just...mad. When she finally stopped, it was silence.

"Is that all?" I asked, joining her as she stepped over five bodies in the hallway.

"I don't think so." She said. We opened every door in the hallway, but it was all empty.

Someone abruptly stormed out. A knife flew by, grazing my forearm ever so slightly. I pulled the trigger by instinct, hitting him square on the knee. He screamed in agony, but still reaching for his gun on the floor. Lottie was fast on her feet, kicking him in the face and stepping onto his bleeding leg until I heard it crack loudly. Then, she shot him in the chest. I flinched. She really went for the killing spree.

We continued on. There was no room left expect for the stairs down to the basement. She wasn't hesitant as she descended it. She was out for blood. I followed right behind.

The light was out down here. We could hardly see anything. The silence was intense as suddenly I sensed a move across the room. We took a shot at the same time. Lottie winked at my reflex. I wanted to roll eyes.

She stepped further down while my eyes still adjusting in the dark. Nothing could stop her now. She was swallowed in the blackness I lost trace of. I went by the walls, trying to find the light switch. Fuck. Where was it?

Someone yelped in the middle of the room. Then it was screaming, twisting and falling. Two people fighting bare hands. Damn it. I couldn't just shoot randomly when I didn't know who's who.

As I worried about Lottie, a bulky figure suddenly came up to me from behind. He put me on headlock, pressed, and like squeezing my neck to block the airway. I struggled. I reached, hitting his arm, elbowing him hard on his side, but he didn't budge. With the remaining consciousness, I shot his left foot. He yelled profanities and loosened his grip, telling me it hit him. Oxygen was back into my lungs, I coughed hard. Before I had a chance to fucking register the situation, he dragged me by my hair. His anger increased twofold. My head throbbing like hell. I aimed and shot multiple times. He stopped as it hit his right eye. I didn't waste time to get up. He laid flat on his back, covering his face. I pulled the trigger one more time to his head, but it clicked empty. It was almost automatically—without thought—that I pulled out a blade and slit his throat. It spurted over my face the same time the lights flicked on. Bloods flowing under my boots creating a river of red.

"Jesus, Bella." Lottie commented in disbelief, staring at the mess I made. There was another lifeless man in the room near her. "You look like you can be in horror movies." She added, but her voice lacing with pride. I wiped the blood using the sleeves of my coat.

She went to the only door in the room. Unlocking it with the key she possibly stole from the lifeless man. I strode over, trying to understand what we were even doing here. What those ten people actually keeping under this building.

The sight inside made my blood run cold. My eyes widened. Lots of children here. Boys and girls, maybe around six to thirteen years old. They were tied, mouth duct taped. There were at least twenty children in this small room. They gazed at us, scared and shaking.

"Child trafficking by the fucking Russians. Vladimir always stoops so low." She spat. I wanted to throw up in my mouth as I imagined what they had been through. They were so young, how could it happen to them?

She turned around and walked away. "Why did you do this?" I asked, following her upstairs. I was curious of her motives.

She shrugged nonchalantly. "Charity case, I guess."

This made me wonder if she was a really bad guy after all. Trafficking was always the hard limit in our family. We never went that low.

"Is it okay if we just leave them like that?" I frowned as we were out on the porch.

"Cops already on their way. Let them take the credits." She said. A slight movement from the ground caught our eyes. "Dead man back from the death. Give him real one this time, 'kay?" she handed her gun to me and took out a small pack of white powder and dollar bill from her pocket. Grinning as she lined it up on the bench. She snorted in no time.

I approached the man on the ground, but something piqued my attention. So I took it, palming it in my hand. My eyes back on the prize. The man that groaned in pain. My eyes darkened as fury taking over. Disturbing images on my brain as I envisioned them doing inhuman things to the children. They were real fucking evils. They should take it the worst way.

The man looked at me, almost pleading. I scoffed in disgust before smashing his head with the hammer I found. The sound of his skull cracking was loud. Lottie choked on her laugh.

"For fucks sake, you really have a sick mind in you." She said.

She dropped me off in the driveway. Edward's men had been waiting as I climbed out of the car. Their eyes were wide, inspecting, searching if I lost a finger or a toe. I glared at them as I went. Lottie yelled a goodbye, but I just raised a middle finger in the air.

I strode inside, itching to wash my body from the sweat and blood. I was so tired to even walk upstairs.

Edward was in the room when I came in. It was two in the morning and he looked like he just arrived from work as well.

He gazed at me with raised eyebrow. I looked worse in the bright lights, but he didn't seem shocked at all.

"Fun night?" he asked.

"You have no idea." I snorted, taking off my boots and discarding them carelessly in the corner. My coat next.

I skipped to the bathroom before he said anything. I almost jumped when I watched my own reflection in the mirror. Right. I looked like I just walked out of slasher movie.

I rubbed my face with the running water, and my arms as I took off my shirt. My head ached so badly.

I hopped in the hot shower then. Scrubbing off sins and gun powder, blood and sweat. I washed my hair gently, massaging my head to ease the throbbing.

I tapped off the water after I finished, wrapping my body in a white bathrobe. I had hair-dried my hair, too. Now I smelled heavenly. Like lux soaps and florals. Edward lounged on the couch, watching a movie as I exited the bathroom. He stood up, taking turns to shower.

I lied on my side in my camisole as the bed dipped in. He settled beside me, covering his body in a warm duvet. I halfway slept, but his breath on the back of my neck tickled. His hand snaked around my waist and my eyes snapped open.

"What?" my tone was impatient, but he chuckled against my skin.

"Tell me about it." He whispered like it was a secret.

"What about?"

"How you did it."

I spun around and looked at him with narrowed eyes.

"You're sick, are you?"

Those greens glinted in amusement. "I'm just curious." He shrugged.

"I shot them, that's all."

"In close range? You had blood all over your face." He was observant because he had been doing this shit since forever.

"Yes."

"Liar." He smirked knowing he caught me.

I took a deep breath.

"They were trafficking children, Edward. they disgusted me." I said, still a little bit upset about it.

He softened a bit. "Who?"

I shrugged. "Lottie said something about Russians."

"Ah." He nodded his head, not sharing further information about it. He questioned instead. "So, you used your blade, then?"

"A hammer." I corrected.

My eyes fluttered open. I smelled delicious food from the cart that was probably sent in a couple minutes ago. The clock showing twelve. And God, my body hurt like hell.

I rustled and peeked behind me to find Edward leaning against the headboard, sleepy eyes and bed hair, his fingers already typing his phone.

"You awake?" he greeted, glancing at me before put the phone away.

I was back on my side, far away from him. But he yanked my naked body flush to his. Until we were skins and nothing else.

"Can I do normal things today?" I asked, voice hoarse from sleep and his touch.

"Define normal." He whispered against the crook of my neck, drawing his fingers from my hip down to my thigh. I couldn't think of a reply right now.

"Edward." I warned him as the tip of his forefinger grazed my core just barely. It seemed innocent and all, but I knew what he was doing. We fucked twice this morning.

He hummed. His finger slowly rubbing between my folds. His kiss on my ear. His erection against my spine. I whimpered. A circle motion on my clit made me arch my back. He nipped my neck.

A call cut through the room. He was distracted, looking over his shoulder to check the caller. But I was already aroused and halfway high.

"Sorry, baby." He pretended to look guilty, but I knew he didn't. He liked it when I was hot and bothered. He loved it when I begged. Unfortunately, I wasn't gonna give it to him.

So, when he withdrew his finger and answered the call, I went back to sleep.

I woke up an hour later to the empty room and cold lunch. Yet I drank the orange juice and ate some slices of waffle from the cart. I took a shower, dressing in shorts and oversized t-shirt.

I walked out of bedroom and tried to find life downstairs. But hushed voiced below made me stop in my tracks. They were in mid conversation.

"Well, you're fool if you think he's not gonna do anything." It was Peter. Only him could talk mean with flat tone. I wondered what they were talking about.

"Watch it." Edward hissed. I could imagine Peter rolling his eyes.

A woman chuckled, clapping in excitement. "Oh, can't wait!" Lottie.

My eyes narrowed. The atmosphere around me changed.

The winter was coming and it only meant a bad thing.
