The pups were eating dinner after a tough mission when Ryder turned on the TV. The headline read:

11 MURDERS IN ADVENTURE BAY LEAVE MANY BEWILDERED AND TERRIFIED.

Ryder kept watching as the camera cut eleven times, and showed eleven blurred out bodies, some in a pool of blood, others just still. At that moment, Rubble entered the room.

"Ryder?" He said. Ryder turned around, turning off the TV. "Yes, Rubble?"

"Did you hear it?"

"Hear what?"

"The noise!"

Ryder looked at Rubble, confused. "I didn't hear anything." He said. Rubble looked at him like he was crazy. "How did you not hear it?" He asked. Ryder was getting a bit worried, especially after the news headline he had just read. "What was this noise anyways?" He asked. Rubble imitated glass breaking, which sounded horrible. "Someone broke in?" Ryder asked, ready to run. "We checked everywhere, even where the sound came from, and there was no broken windows, no broken lamps, nothing." Rubble explained. Ryder relaxed his body, relieved. "It was probably in your imagination." He said. Rubble looked at him furiously. "How can it be in my head if everyone heard it?" He asked, rage clear in his tone. "Rubble, calm down. If there is nothing broken in here, we are fine. Get the others and go to sleep, it's bedtime." Ryder said reassuringly. Rubble left the room, and about fifteen minutes later, Ryder could here the pups going into their puphouses for the night. Ryder went to bed around an hour later.

The next day, Ryder awoke to screaming. He was still in his pajamas when he sprinted downstairs and outside to see what was wrong. All of the pups were gathered around Rubble's puphouse. Ryder bent down and looked in, but soon he wished he didn't. Rubble's entire body was covered in stab wounds and blood. His throat was gaping open, blood spilling out of it. His face was pale and lifeless. Ryder took a step back, his legs wobbling. He knew it was pointless, but he turned to Marshall, who shook his head.

Five hours later news reporters and policemen were clearing out, Chase and Marshall with them. Ryder was sitting on a bench, his face buried in his hands. Katie walked over to him and sat beside him. "Ryder, this isn't your fault, you know that right?" She said. Ryder looked up at her, his eyes red and swollen from crying. "I...I told him it was nothing. I told him the noise was nothing." He said, his voice quivering.

About a month later everything was back to normal. No more murders, and a small grave was dug for Rubble in the back of The Lookout. Chase had been taught how to use a gun, and always kept it with him. The killer was never found. Rubble was murdered on May 8th, 2020, and everything was fine until June 16th, 2020. That's when shots rang out a city hall. The PAW Patrol got there in a frenzy, with Chase leading the way. Eight shots were fired into a large crowd, and by the time they got there, the people were running every which way. Then, sixteen shots were fired. Chase looked around to see where the shots were coming from, but all he could see among the crowd was some occasional blood shooting into the air. He called out his megaphone and yelled, "EVERY-" There was one more gunshot, and he trailed off with his words. The PAW Patrol gasped as they noticed his left eye streaming blood. The bullet had completely destroyed it. He collapsed to the ground as Skye began to whimper. The PAW Patrol hid behind their vehicles as shots suddenly began to rain down like actual rain. Ryder and the others closed their eyes as countless screams were heard. Then, they stopped.

One day later the whole PAW Patrol is gathered around a newspaper Rocky found. It turns out, about thirty-six people were killed and seventeen, not including Chase, were injured. Ryder has refused to come out of his room since the attack. Skye is beside Chase's side inside The Lookout. None of the pups were allowed outside the Lookout after six o'clock at night. Chase had a massive bandage on his eye, and Marshall was also there. He had not woken up yet, and Skye was constantly crying. Suddenly, Chase's right eye opened.

"S-S-Skye?" He stuttered. Marshall and Skye both sighed in relief, Skye's tears suddenly stopped flowing. Marshall quickly ran over to the two. "Chase? You're awake?" He asked. Chase looked around, confused. "Where am I?" He asked. "You were shot," Marshall answered. "We brought you back here."

"OH MY GOD!!" A scream came from another room in the Lookout. "I'll go, you stay here." Marshall said to Skye before sprinting out of the room. He ran to where the scream came from, which was the room the others were in. The TV was on.

SEVENTEEN MURDERED IN ADVENTURE BAY. ALL OF THEM PREVIOUSLY INJURED IN 2020 ADVENTURE BAY SHOOTING.

BLAM! BLAM!

Glass could be heard shattering in different rooms. Marshall's eyes widened.

"SKYE! CHA-"

BLAM!

The other pups screamed as a bullet went right through Marshall's head, making his blood splatter on the walls and floor. The pups sprinted as fast as they could to the room where Chase and Skye were in.

Chase wasn't there, and Skye was in Ryder's room.

"Get in here! Hurry!" She whispered behind them. They all scurried into the room and locked the door behind them. "Where's Chase?" Rocky asked. "I don't know. After Marshall ran out of the room I looked out the door to see where he was going and when I looked back to Chase's bed he was gone!" Skye said, running out of breath. The pups turned around, only to find two people wearing masks in the room, one of them, who appeared to be a woman, held a gun to Ryder's head.

"Back away." She muttered from under her mask. The pups backed out of the room.

"Any final words before I blow your damn brain out?" The woman asked, wrapping her finger around the trigger. Ryder nods. The pups look at him.

"Fire." Is all he mutters. The two killers look at him in confusion, then,

BLAM!

The center of the woman's forehead exploded with blood. She fell to the ground.

BLAM!

The other person, who appeared to be a man, screamed in agony as he clutched his abdomen. He fell to the ground, revealing none other than Chase, his gun in his paw.

"Chase!" Skye started to run over to him, but he put his paw out in front of him, motioning for her to stop. Chase walked over to the man, who was gasping for air while clutching his stomach, which was oozing blood. Chase took the mask off the man's face, and what it revealed made everyone gasp.

It was Farmer Al, his face scrunched up in pain. "H-help." He muttered. Chase, without a second thought, brought the gun back up to his head.

"Tell me." Chase said angrily.

"Tell you what?"

"Why you did what you did."

"F-fine! Me and-" Farmer Al screamed as another wave of pain went through his body.

"Me and Yumi found some little bastard breaking into our barn. Yumi drove a pitchfork right up his face. When she did that, she realized how fun it was."

Chase raised an eyebrow. "How fun what was?"

"Killing."

The others looked at him in shock, not believing their ears.

"We both just started killing silently, enjoying the satisfaction. Then, our victims were on the news. We wanted to stop, but we couldn't. It was fun."

"So you shot up a crowd?"

"Yep. It was the most satisfying thing ever."

"I wish I knew two good friends of the PAW Patrol were sadistic before any of this happened. Do you have any final words?"

Farmer Al's face went pale at this.

"Y- you're not gonna kill me are you?"

"In case you forgot, my job is protect this town. To make sure the people in it are safe. Letting you go would be inviting chaos to this town, and I don't want that. I will ask you one more time, any final words?"

Farmer Al started to cry uncontrollably.

"Please. You don't-"

BLAM!

On the one year anniversary of the horrific string of murders, the mass shooting, and Farmer Al and Farmer Yumi's death, Adventure Bay is safer than ever. A statue of Chase was put up right outside the Lookout, it's gold exterior shining bright in the afternoon sun. The whole PAW Patrol is gathered at the memorial that was made for the total of sixty-six innocent people whose lives were lost in the month in a half period now known as The Adventure Bay Bloodshed Of 2020. The PAW Patrol were gathered by two statues at the front of the memorial, depicting Marshall and Rubble. Ryder looks at them, tears in his eyes. As the sun goes down and the pups get in their vehicles, Ryder gives them both one final salute before heading back to The Lookout, the setting sun shining upon the statues.
