Skyler was waiting for them in the hallway when they finally emerged a short time later.
Her wide, happy eyes met Elisa's then Goliath's.
Elisa could see that she was practically bouncing with excitement.
"I haven't told anyone," she hurried to say in a hushed tone as she hurried towards them. "But… is it true?"
Elisa gave her a wide, happy smile. "Yeah," She said, running a hand through her hair, raking it back away from her face. "I just found out this afternoon. It's why I've been feeling more worn down than normal." Elisa made a face, "And the being sick. Morning sickness."
"Crackers," Skyler recommended. "Keep a sleeve of crackers and a glass of water by your bed. It'll help with the nausea first thing in the morning."
Elisa cocked her head. "Been around a lot of pregnant women?"
Skyler flushed, "No," She admitted. "I've mostly worked with the kiddos after they've been born…But I ran and hopped on a laptop for a quick information search when I left the library."
"I swear," Elisa sighed. "You have a job for life, Skyler."
Skyler grinned. "So… Am I officially allowed to know about this yet, or is it a secret and I should act surprised when you tell the others?"
"I don't know," Elisa said, looking to Goliath, "We haven't discussed when to tell the others."
"I think sooner rather than later would be best," He took Elisa's hand in his. "What do you think?"
Elisa chuckled. "Let's tell them," She said.
"This could be fun," Skyler said rubbing her hands together in anticipation.

Half an hour later, Elisa wondered if she should have called Doctor James up when they shared the news.
She and Goliath were currently surrounded by very quiet, very still clan members, which made her wonder if Gargoyles could go into shock.
And it was not only them. Elisa had called in the Xanatos family as well, being that they would probably be wondering why Elisa was suddenly there so often.
"I just…," Came a stuttered exclamation from Fox. "Wow."
"Congratulations," David Xanatos said, a half grin on his face.
"Are you sure?" Angela asked quietly.
"As sure as we can be," Elisa said. Once more she extracted the ultrasound photo and showed the clan. "Here's a picture… sort of… and I was able to listen to the heartbeat a bit ago."
Angela's eyes widened and a slow smile began to break across her face. She clasped her hands in front of her chest, "I'm going to be a sister. Again!"
"Congratulations, Goliath," Brooklyn said, breaking from his own stunned silence. He brought his hand up onto Goliath's shoulder in a sign of support.
"And to Elisa!" Broadway said, coming forward to give his friend a hug.
Suddenly, the great hall echoed with shouts and movement as the news finally seemed to register.
Not wanting to break the joyous mood, Fox turned her back on the room to hide her expression and to face her husband. "David," Fox whispered, "Is this even possible?"
"It must be," David replied, his face still set into a semi-smile, but she could see the tension around his eyes.
"But," Fox began wringing her hands in front of her, "How? How is this even possible? I mean, what if…?"
"Take a breath, my dear," He replied, and took one of her hands in his. He raised the hand and brushed his lips across her knuckles. "Now put a smile on that beautiful face of yours, and let's go congratulate our favorite odd couple."
Fox took a breath, and she called upon her criminal background acting skills to hide the worry in her current expression behind a bright smile.
David looked into his wife's face, and admired just how quickly she was able to school her expression from worry to a very convincing happy one. He gave her a small nod of approval and together, they turned to add their congratulations to the others.
