Dear Readers,
I could have sworn I already did this, but I just saw a bunch of readers hit up this story for some reason, and I realized maybe my readers did not know what was going on. This version of the story is done for several reasons. Several of the main characters, I realized, were painfully OOC, and I realized the entire story needed an overhaul to get it how I wanted it.
So, last year, since this story was a decade old, I got to work on the new version. It's turned out a thousand times better. It takes how Naruto Shippuden actually ended and several of the Hiden novels into account, which changes the story drastically, as well as better defines each of the character arcs. Their struggles are now more real (as they can be), and therefore more meaningful. It also has some influence from Boruto, but plot-wise, generally disregards it. I've had a lot of fun writing it this past year, and it's already almost as long as this story word-wise. Chapter-wise, we're only halfway through Part 1. Now the story is being split into 4-5 parts rather than the two, and there is no time skip. 75% of the plot has drastically changed in Part 1, and after that it'll be 100% changed, except maybe 1 or 2 things.
I've decided to keep this original story up, so people can go back and compare. But it is done. Sorry, it is incomplete. But it will be completed in the new version.
So, if you liked this story, but agree some of the characters are rather OOC and the plots and conversations sometimes seemed surface level campy and bland … Or you just want to know if the girls ever get back home, or find out what brought them here, I urge you to take a look at the new version, The Legendaries (Revisited): A Naruto Isekai.
