THE NEXT DAY

"You have GOT to be kidding me," Doctor James groaned.

Margaret fought the urge to laugh, but decided laughing at the man who had gotten her this amazing job would be a bad idea.

"No, sorry," her voice sounded a little choked up from the effort of suppressing her hilarity at the situation.

Doctor James raised his head and glared at his nurse. "Should I thank you for not laughing out loud?"

Margaret shook her head, handing him the small stack of clipboards.

Sighing, Doctor James took them and began what was becoming a very familiar and regular routine.

Once more, he found himself in the conference room and acknowledging those who were there. "Matt." Nod. "Travis," Nod. "Ms…er… Captain Chavez," Nod.

Resigned, he leaned back and closed his eyes. "Let me guess why you're all here…"
