Chapter 26

It felt like hours before Hiccup was able to feel anything again. It happened slowly, but surely, as his blank mind started showing him images of things that have happened in the past. From shooting down and befriending Toothless, to discovering the transformation, and to the recent discovery of his mother. It's like when you're life flashes before your eyes but a bit slower.

As his most recent memory of getting hit by a dragon root blow dart hit him, Hiccup could start to feel his senses. He could gently move his claws and wings around, he started to get the smell of iron, stone and even that of a nearby dragon or two, he wasn't sure, and he could hear a voice calling to him.

"…cup." The voice says as he begins to regain consciousness. "Hiiicuuup." He could swear that voice was just in his head, but as mind came back it sounded more real. "Wakey wakey."

Finally, his mind was about 70% back and Hiccup was able to slowly open his eyes. It took a moment for his vision to adjust to his surroundings and he could see he was staring at some type of steel bars, explaining the smell, but on the other side of those bars were some type of blonde colored dragon feet.

Hiccup turns his gaze up as his vision focuses in on what he was looking at. What he saw was a Deadly Nadder standing there with a huge smile on its face. "Hey there, Hiccup. Long time no see."

The voice combined with the color of this Nadder made his memory suddenly burst back to him as he jumps back to the other side of the cell he was in. "Astrid? What are you doing here? Where am I?"

Astrid gives a devious laugh. "Where we are isn't important. What is important is that you're finally here, with me."

Hiccup bares his teeth while saying, "You know we went through this exact same situation. And you know how it ended."

Astrid nods. "Yes, but this time was different. It was clear to me that I couldn't get what I wanted while you were awake so I had to…make things happen."

Hiccup was confused at this but then suddenly felt that his lower region was a bit sore, about as sore as whenever he and Toothless…oh no. "You didn't."

Astrid chuckles at that. "Didn't do what? Get the thing that I've been wanting since I found out you don't even want me anymore? How terrible of me."

That, in Hiccup's mind, confirmed his suspicion by the ten-fold. "You raped me?"

Astrid shakes her head. "No, of course not. I just sat my cunt onto your dick while you were unconscious."

Hiccup blinks. "That's the literal definition of rape. H-how could you do that? You know I'm with someone." Then something else occurs to Hiccup. "Wait…if you sat on me then…does that mean…?"

Astrid rolls her eyes at the question. "I know what you're trying to ask and, no. You did not get me pregnant. I did some research earlier and apparently Night Furies and Nadders aren't biologically compatible."

Hiccup lets out a deep sigh. "Oh that's a huge load off my chest."

Astrid smirks as she begins to pace in front of the cell. "Funny, about a year ago you would've loved to hear something like that."

Hiccup replies, "A year ago you weren't a crazy dragon who tried to kill me and Toothless and betrayed Berk." Hiccup looks around and sees that he is alone in his cell, so of course he asks, "Where. Is. Toothless?"

Astrid pretends to think about it. "Toothless…Toothless…oh yes, your pathetic little boyfriend. Well, of course I couldn't keep you two together so I put him in a cell in another part of the prison. It seemed right."

Hiccup jumps towards the bars. "If you touch a single fleck of skin on him, I swear I will-"

"Oh relax, will you?" Astrid interrupts. "We both know what happened last time I tried to hurt him." She holds up her bandaged wing for emphasis. "So I figured to just leave him alone. For now."

Hiccup claws at the cell bars. "I swear, once I get out of here-"

"You'll do what? Find Toothless, take me out and fly out of here? Yeah, you might find that a little difficult." She motions to behind him.

Hiccup looks back and sees that his tail fins seem to be bound together with some sort of dragon proof chain. Hiccup looks back and comments, "Clever girl. Wait, but where did you get the dragon proof chain?"

"That, you can thank me for." A deep male voice coming from the left of Astrid says. Soon, a black Singetail pops out with an even more devious smirk. "Hello, Hiccup. So nice to see you again."

Hiccup's eyes widen as he recognizes that voice. "Krogen? You're working with Krogen?"

Krogen nods. "Why yes. You see, my Hiccup, it was I who gave Astrid the key to her cell on Berzerker Island, it was I who helped her escape the island using my Singetail subordinates, and it was I who blew the darts to take out you and your friend. And now, it is I who will be going to the ice sanctuary to take over all of it's inhabitants and, soon enough, the whole archipelago."

Hiccup's eyes widen further. "Mom's sanctuary. Of course, he didn't find the old king of dragons so he chose to look for the one that's with Mom." Hiccup bangs on his cell walls some more. "When I get out of here, you'll be sorry you ever even saw me."

Krogen rolls his eyes. "Oh, aren't you just adorable? Well, I must be off now to speak with my…correspondence." With that, he walks off.

Astrid smirks before saying, "By the way, this…" She turns around and presses her hindquarters against the cell bars, giving Hiccup full view of her ass, pussy and cock slit. "…is what you could've had." before following Krogen.

Once Astrid was out of earshot, Hiccup says to himself, "I've got to get out of here." He scratches at the bars a little, making the silver coating come off and revealing the green dragon proof metal. "Well, there goes my first idea."

He then looks back and notices just how dark it is in the back of his cell, which gives him an idea.

(30 minutes later)

One of the Singetail guards was walking through the prison, checking on the prisoners when he gets to Hiccup's cell and notices that Hiccup isn't there. "What the?" The guard says as he opens the cell to look around, seeing nothing. "Oh no." He turns and runs towards the doors. "Hey guys, the Night Fury has escaped." leaving the cell wide open.

Hiccup then unfurls himself from within his wings and uses this as a chance to bolt out of the cell with a chuckle of amusement that that actually worked.

Using signature Night Fury stealth, Hiccup sneaks his way through the prison. In doing so, he finds that the prison is composed of several different areas for cells, it was actually the biggest and most thorough Viking prison he had ever seen. It must have been underground or something, because he knew that not even the biggest cave systems were that deep.

After going through about 2 areas, he happens to overhear Krogen's voice as he was talking to Astrid in what must have been his office. "It seems we're going to have to use drastic measures in order to get the dragon and the boy to talk. However, it is absolutely necessary in order to find the ice fortress, capture the king and become the new ruler."

Astrid then asks, "So what happens to Hiccup once we've found the fortress?"

Krogen simply replies. "Once we are done, Hiccup and his friend will no longer be of use to me so I suppose I will just kill them before they can say anything."

Astrid actually groans at that. "Why is it always kill, kill, kill with you? Couldn't we just force Hiccup into marriage with me and make his hubby my slave for life?"

Krogen replies with a chuckle. "I'm afraid killing is the only option here. You know how dangerous Night Furies are and the boy, well he's just going to tell the chief and they're going to figure out a way to take both of us down so it really is our best option."

As Hiccup was listening in, he thinks to himself, "They're going to use me and Toothless to find Mom's sanctuary and then kill us afterwards. I've got to find Toothless and get us out of here."

Just then, the voice of one of the guards was heard saying, "Krogen, the Night Fury has escaped."

Krogen must have slammed his fists against the walls or something, because there was a loud bang heard soon after. "What? How could you let him escape? Go find him, now!"

"And that's my cue to run." Hiccup thinks to himself.

Hiccup then proceeds to search up and down the halls of the prison, dodging guards along the way. The guards already knew he was out there, so he had to keep his stealth game up to the maximum level. He looked through each and every cell he came across and while he did see some humans, none of them were the one he was looking for.

At one point, Hiccup did find the exit to the prison, and decided to pop his head out to see where he was. It was then that he knew exactly where he was, this was Viggo Grimborne's old base back when Hiccup and Viggo were still enemies, and he must have been in the cells where Viggo kept all of the dragons that the hunters captured.

He wanted so badly to leave but he knew that he had to find Toothless first, plus his tail was tied up so it's not like he could just fly out easily, so he kept the location of the exit in mind as he continued searching.

After passing through another area of cells, he began to hear Krogen's voice again. "I'm going to ask you again, where is he?"

"The fuck should I know?" That second voice, he recognized anywhere.

"Toothless." He thinks to himself and he peeks into a window which showed a room. In that room, he saw Toothless sitting in a chair, tied up, covered in scars, bruises and scratches, and Krogen was circling around him, asking questions, plus there were about 6 guards standing in a circle around them.

Krogen nods before one of the guards gives Toothless a punch in the face before he asks, "Toothless, is it? Listen, I know you and Hiccup have a special bond and all that, so I would think that you, of all people, would know where he would escape to."

Toothless spits blood before saying with a weak voice, "Even if I did know where Hiccup was, there's no way in hell I would tell you."

Hiccup then thinks to himself, "This isn't good. The more of this Toothless takes the more likely the next blow will be the last, and knowing Krogen he won't care either way. I've got to save him…somehow."

Just then, Krogen smirks before saying, "Suit yourself. Guards…finish him." before walking out of the room. The Singetail guards then raise their flaming tails and charge up fire balls.

"No." Hiccup knew how powerful Singetail's flaming tails are, so he knew that Toothless would definitely die if he didn't do anything. Trouble is, he didn't think he could find the door to that room quick enough.

And then, something clicked in Hiccup's mind. Something that seemed to ignite some type of new fire in his gut, one that began to make his muscles tense, make him start to see red with anger, and make his mind go nearly blank all over again.

His teeth clenches, his claws dig into the ground, his pupils turn to slits and his back started to give off a blue glow, just like before when he fought Astrid. Hiccup had reentered his Alpha Mode, but this time it seemed to take a different effect on him.

Also, as an added effect, the Alpha mode seemed to charge Hiccup's body so much that his tail was actually able to break free of the dragon proof chains by just pulling them apart.

With just a single Plasma Blast he was able to bust through the window to the room, causing the guards to stop charging and look up to see a glowing black and blue figure climb it's way down to the room. The smoke clears, revealing Hiccup looking angrier than ever.

"Hiccup!" Toothless croaks.

(Quick warning, things are about to get a little bit gorey. There is content after it, so if you want to skip this I will put a marker once it's over.)

Hiccup didn't say anything, he just roars a bit before lunging towards one of the guards and uses his claws and powerful muscles to tear the Singetail's tail off in one move. He looks at the tail and tosses it to the side as the guard yells out in pain.

Hiccup grabs that same guard's head and forces its mouth open and presses down on it's neck, causing it to fire fireballs at the other guards, who quickly dispersed. Seeing that this wasn't working as well, he just uses a claw to cut the dragon's throat.

"Uh, Hiccup?" Toothless asks, seeing just how brutal Hiccup is being with these guards.

Hiccup dashes over to another guard and looks it square in the eye before forcing its mouth open and firing a plasma blast right inside, the force of which caused the Singetail's body to explode, leaving its head intact.

Toothless just stares with wide eyes, looking in complete disbelief. On one hand, he was a little happy that Hiccup was doing such acts to protect him but on another hand it didn't even seem like Hiccup at all.

One of the remaining guards fires a fireball at Hiccup and while it does hit him on the back, it barely seemed to scratch his scales. He turns around and looks to the guard with a look that could kill. The guard turns around and tries to run with fear, but Hiccup fires a plasma blast that actually breaks off it's left hind leg before Hiccup fires three more blasts for the remaining legs.

Hiccup turns to the remaining guards who all stare Hiccup down in fear before running off with terror. However, Hiccup manages to catches one of them with lightning speed and stares it down, like before. He knew that was the guard who punched Toothless, so he opens his mouth wide, teeth baring, and was about to bite the dragon's head off when Toothless yells, "HICCUP STOP!"

Hearing Toothless's voice seemed to strike something else in Hiccup's mind as he came to a realization as to what he was doing. His pupils widen back to normal width as he looks around the room and sees all of the blood that was shed because of him. He looks at his claws and saw blood dripping from them as well, and that's when it all hit him.

(Ok, gore is over.)

"Oh my Thor." Hiccup says as he lets the guard be free. Hiccup looks down at the ground as his Alpha mode fades and his humanity returns.

Toothless carefully asks, "Hiccup?"

This snaps Hiccup out of his daze as he looks back to the beaten up Toothless and just says, "Toothless."

Toothless's ears burn a little as he hears someone coming. "Hey uh, you mind untying me?"

Hiccup nods. "Yeah. Yeah, I should." He uses his claws to break the ropes free and throws Toothless onto his back before jumping through that window and running out of the exit he found earlier before taking off out of Hunter Island. It was already night, so they knew that they would be able to leave unnoticed.

Once they were away from the island, and had made sure they weren't being followed, Toothless decides to pat Hiccup on the head saying, "Hiccup, what exactly happened back there? That vicious, deadly, killing creature I saw, that was not you in any sense."

Hiccup sighs. "I don't know. I really don't know. I saw how you were getting beaten up by Krogen and I guess I just…lost it."

Toothless replies, "You know what I think? I think that you lost your humanity in there, and your mind became…well…a dragon."

Hiccup looks up and says, "But, how can that be? We both know that dragons are gentle, kind creatures that live to protect their kind."

Toothless nods. "Yes, and that's what you did. You wanted to protect me and you were willing to kill for it. That is what a dragon does. It's what I did when I shot into the Red Death's mouth and killed her. I did it to protect my fellow dragon, my new people, and most importantly…you."

Hiccup sighs. "Maybe you're right. I always assumed that we were just ourselves in different bodies but I guess even our minds can take the better of us…maybe that's what happened to Astrid. Maybe her dragon mind began to take over long before most of us."

Toothless nods. "Maybe." Toothless pats Hiccup on the head again. "Look, we still haven't fully figured out how these bodies work, but I guess we can just have fun trying to figure it out."

Hiccup nods. "True."

Toothless then hugs the top of Hiccup's head. "And, all that being said, I am really glad that you saved me. Even at the near cost of whatever humanity you have left."

Hiccup turns his head back to nuzzle Toothless. "Of course. I'd do anything for you, my love. We really should find a medic soon, those scars and bruises look pretty bad."

Toothless smiles and says, "There's the Hiccup Haddock I know." With that, they fly off into the night sky, hoping to find an island with a medic sometime soon.

(Back on Hunter Island)

Krogen sat in his office with Astrid, waiting for the news when one of the guards pops up and says, "We checked all over sir. They have fully escaped."

Krogen nods. "Very well then." The guard leaves, as he knew that failure in Krogen's eye meant certain death.

Astrid asks, "Should I go show that guard how sharp my spines are?"

Krogen shakes his head. "No, not in the mood for that right now."

Astrid nods. "So, what now? We going to just look for them again?"

Krogen says with a smirk, "No. We will leave them be, for now. Soon enough they're going to go back to the Ice Sanctuary, and when they do…they'll lead us right to it." He gives off an evil chuckle.
