Chapter 2: Petulant Child
"Get that thing away from me!" Kiba screamed, scratch marks on his face as Naruto help a sleeping Tora on his arms.
"But the kitty is asleep." Naruto said and Ino got closer to look at it.
"How? 5 minutes ago, it was full of energy."
Kurenai nodded "And you always found it really quickly. How?"
"Last time we caught it, I placed a tracking seal on it, that's how I found the kitty so fast. Anf for why he is asleep," Naruto said pulling a senbon from his weapon bag "I used a toxin to make him fall asleep."
Kurenai sighed as Ino started to scold Naruto for trying to kill Tora while Kiba laughed. Naruto seemed to have drone off again just handing Tora to his owner, who proceeded to hug him tightly while leaving.
Minato chuckled and pulled out another D-rank mission and handed it to Kurenai "This was solicited by the third. He needs help to restore the Sarutobi Estate and someone who looks after his grandson."
Naruto seemed to come back to reality at the mention of the grandson part "I have to babysit the petulant child again? I suppose."
"Naruto! Don't be rude!" Ino scolded making Minato smile.
"Don't worry Ino. Naruto knows Konohamaru and he is..."
"Petulant." Naruto finished and Minato sighed.
"Yes. Good luck."
Once leaving the tower Kiba was still laughing "Man! You really don't like that brat, do you?" He asked as Akamaru barked on his head.
"I don't dislike him, I think. He is annoying." Naruto clarified before droning off, but still following Kurenai.
"How annoying can he be?" Ino asked and Kiba nodded.
"Yeah! I bet this will piece of cake!"
"Arf!"
"And if things get too complicated, I can just poison him."
"No." Kurenai said as they made their way to the Sarutobi state.
*At the State*
Konahamaru fell with a thud, and a senbon sticking out of his neck. Ino was glaring at the brat, while scratching her head, white powder on her hair (Itching Powder). Kiba was also in the same boat, covering his nose and his face wet (Smelly Bomb). And Naruto was covered in orange paint (Paint Bomb).
"Please tell me that the senbon is full of deadly posion." Ino growled and Konohamaru gulped.
"If not, Akamaru and I will kill him." Hissed Kiba, and Akamaru growled before sneezing (Pollen Bomb) making Konahamaru pale.
"Don't worry. He is paralyzed, and with the correct doses, he won't walk again. I think." Naruto said tilting his head to the side before taking three more senbons.
"Naruto..." Kurenai said from the door.
"Yes Sensei?" Naruto said looking at her.
"Stop scaring him." She ordered and Naruto nodded.
"Okay. The toxin effect will pass away in two hours, and we can finish the job in 1 hour and a half so-"
"Naruto." Kurenai started again.
"Yes Sensei?"
"Give him the antidote and watch him. You two finish painting so we can leave." Kurenai ordered. Ino and Kiba groaned before leaving. Naruto grabbed Konohamaru by the scarf and dragged him to his room.
It was a big room, the walls painted blue, a desk and a bed. Naruto threw Konohamaru on the bed, locked the windows and door, before pulling out a scroll.
Konohamaru paled "W-What's that?"
Naruto didn't answer. He opened the scroll and from there, multiple vaccines apeared. Naruto escaped all of them before grabbing one with a yellow liquid. Konohamaru gulped "Y-you know? I think that I can be two hours like this."
Naruto looked at him with his usual bored expression "You don't like injections? I suppose."
"It's not that! Only that-AH!" He screamed as Naruto injected him the syringe into his arm. "Why did you do that!?" He demanded with tears in his eyes.
Naruto tilted his head "You said you weren't afraid of them." He said and placed the syringe back into the scroll. Sealed it "You should be able to move again in 5 seconds, and in 10 seconds your body should be back in normal."
"Good! Then in 10 seconds I'll kick your ass!" He exclaimed and Naruto ignored him, thing that annoyed him more. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" He could feel his fingers again and grinned.
When he could move his entire body, he jumped and with a war cry he rushed to Naruto fist in the air. Naruto was standing up, looking at the ceiling.
"Take this!" Konohamaru exclaimed and aimed his punch to Naruto, that grabbed his arm and threw him to the wall. Konohamaru rubbed the back of his head in pain, and stiffened when a senbon landed next to his head.
"Be a good boy, and don't move. I suppose." Naruto said, still looking at the ceiling, but now sat down, on the other side of the room.
"I hate you..." Konohamaru said and Naruto ignored him. He reached inside his jacket a scroll with the kanji of Friend. He opened it for a small puppet, the size of a doll apeared. This was a simple wooden puppet. No hair. No face. No cloth.
Konohamaru snorted "You play with dolls?" He mocked and flinched by the death glare that Naruto gave him.
"This... is a puppet. Not a toy. Not a doll. A puppet." He said. Naruto wasn't glaring, but Konohamaru wished he did. The intense stare was worse than anything he felt.
"S-Sorry..." He said and Naruto nodded. He created chakra strings and made the puppet dance with one hand.
Konohamaru was watching that little show, and forgot his fear. "That's so cool..." He said and Naruto looked at him.
"Thank you. I suppose." He said and continue to make the puppet dance. He smiled softly. This puppet was a little side project he made. A puppet to have fun and practice. Not to fight.
Konohamaru was in front of the puppet now "How do you do that?"
"Training." he said and Konohamru was hypnotized.
"Could you-"
"Naruto! We're done!" Ino screamed and Naruto nodded.
"Goodbye. I suppose." He said standing up, grabbing the puppet and sealing it again before leaving.
*Next Day, Ichiraku's Ramen*
"... so, then Yakumo placed Sai in a genjutsu and he screamed! Can you believe it!?" Shingeku said and Naruto kept eating his ramen.
"If you are saying it, I think." he said and Ayame giggled.
"You two haven't changed much." She said and Naruto tilted his head.
"Should I change?"
Ayame laughed "No, no. You are perfect as you are now."
They left and quickly, the two brothers noticed the square rock following him. "Shingeku."
"Yeah?"
"Are rocks square?"
"Nop."
The rock chuckled "So, you found out my amazing disguise. Not bad for my sensei!" He screamed as he threw the fake rock to the air and Konohamaru stood up.
He grinned at the brothers. Shingeku looked confused and Naruto stared at the sky. He then looked at him "Oh. Petulant Child. You need something? I suppose."
Konohamaru grinned "You are going to teach me how to do that thing with the puppet!" He demanded and Shingeku glared at him.
"Oi, don't boss my brother around." Shingeku threatened and Naruto shrugged.
"I don't see why not. I think."
"Yes!" Konohamaru cheered and Naruto grabbed a leaf from the ground.
"I want you to stick this leaf on your forehead. You have until next week." Naruto said before leaving. Shingeku chuckled and followed his brother leaving a confused Konohamaru.
"Nice way of getting rid of him Bro." Shingeku praised and Naruto shook his head.
"I trust that he can do it. I think."
"Why?"
Naruto shrugged and stared to the sky. "He liked my puppet. That's why. I think."
Konohamaru ran the next week to him. A leaf stuck on his forehead.
