Sorry for the long wait
Nova bounced in place excitedly as he stood in the living room at the temple. His father and Pearl were standing there as they were waiting for Ezra and his mom to join them. Today was the day they were going to Homeworld and he couldn't be any more excited. He was going to meet the Diamonds and go on a tour of Homeworld and learn about Era one and two.
"Pearl are we going to stay there the whole day?" Nova asked excitedly.
"Of course, it doesn't take an hour to tour Homeworld." She told him, patting his head making him giggle. "We just need to wait for Fire Opal and Ezra to come so we can head." She said getting a little anxious looking at the time.
"We have plenty of time Pearl, besides we can always go again," Steven reassured her, placing a hand on her shoulder making sigh.
"I know, I know," Pearl replied since they knew how Pearl liked to be on time for things.
"Sorry, we're late!" Ezra exclaimed running over grinning and hugging Nova as his mother followed behind. "We're ready! Let's go!" Ezra said excitedly, wasting no time getting on the teleporter waiting for the others to join him.
Nova was next to get on the teleporter as the others followed suit. Ezra linked arms with Nova as Steven teleported them to Homeworld. Both of them were in awe at what they saw. The red ground leading to a huge White tower that looked like the top half of a person. "Is that White Diamond's ship?" Nova asked pointing up at it making Steven nod with a smile.
"Come on, I'm sure they'll be ecstatic seeing you for the first time," Steven said feeling a little bit guilty about not doing this sooner.
"Are we going to tour after?" Fire Opal asked feeling hesitant to enter the building as Nova and Ezra ran ahead.
"We're starting the tour here first, don't worry. They're not like they were before." Pearl reassured her as the gems followed the hybrids and the human.
Inside was even bigger than Nova thought it would be. He saw all sorts of gems walking by and enjoying themselves as they were in the throne room. "Cool!" Nova exclaimed.
"Those chairs are huge!" Ezra said looking at the thrones as the others caught up with them.
"They're called Thrones, Ezra." His mother told him as a shriek making them look over to Steven being hugged.
"Steven! You're back!" Spinel said letting go with her exaggerated and animated actions.
Steven chuckled slightly. "Hey, Spinel. Yeah, I'm here with my son. Meet Nova." Steven said moving Nova close and in front of him as Nova looked at Spinel.
She gasped and lifted him up wrapping her arms around him twice. "You're so cute! We're going to have so much fun playing together!" Spinel grinned as Nova laughed as she spun him around. "You guys are visiting more often, right?" She asked placing Nova down as the boy kept spinning and knocked into Ezra, both boys giggling.
"Yeah, we're just going to have Nova meet the Diamonds and have a tour of Homeworld," Steven told her glancing back at Nova and Ezra, seeing Ezra help stop Nova's dizziness.
"They're going to love him! I'll come with you!" Spinel grinned joining the group as they headed to one of the Diamond's rooms. The group headed down the hall seeing some clouds floating out of a room. "Blue!~" Spinel sang entering her room where gems were floating in the clouds and seeing a huge gem laying on a huge cloud.
Nova and Ezra were in awe at the clouds. Ezra was the first one to jump on one of the clouds, giggling as he started floating. Nova couldn't stop grinning as he jumped up and landed on the cloud with Ezra, both boys smiling brightly and giggling as they were floating on clouds.
"Spinel, how are you?" Blue said with a soft smile on her face as she started floating over. "Steven, you're back, I've missed you so much," Blue said making Steven smile nervously while rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah, sorry for not visiting often, Blue. I actually have someone I want you to meet. He's my son." Steven smiled making Blue perk up as a cloud floated down that carried the two children.
"Which one's which?" Blue asked with a giggle as she looked down at the two kids.
"You're a giant lady!" Ezra exclaimed excitedly making Blue smile.
"Why yes I am, and who might you two be?" She asked.
"I'm Ezra." Ezra grinned brightly as he jumped off of the cloud leaving Nova to look up at his great aunt.
"Than you must be Nova." Blue smiled making Nova nod, clearly in awe at seeing such a giant gem. "He looks just like you, Steven." Blue smiled sitting up and gently picking up Nova and lifting him off of the cloud to take a closer look at him.
Nova giggled as he was placed down next to Steven. "That's what a lot of people say." Steven chuckled, ruffling Nova's hair as the child just grinned.
"They're going to come more often, isn't that exciting! This will become their second home!" Spinel said excitedly, picking up Nova again and hugging him close.
"Spinel, get Yellow and White here, they would adore him," Blue said as Spinel let go, saluting before sprinting off.
"Are they giant too?" Ezra asked, not needing an answer when two more giant gems came into Blue's room.
"Steven! It's been sooo long, no calls and suddenly you have a child!" White said kneeling down, looking down at them.
"Sorry, White, Yellow," Steven said nervously as Nova walked up to White.
"He's so small," Yellow noted looking down at Nova. "Were humans always this small?" She asked.
"I think he's precious," Blue commented.
"It's peculiar how he has powers with no gem though," White said with a hum.
"He has powers?" Blue asked making Steven nod.
"Yeah, it's a shock to us to but he does have my powers," Steven told him as Nova demonstrated making a bubble form around him with a grin. "We have no idea how that's possible," Steven said as the Diamonds watched Nova using his powers thinking about it as well.
"Are we going to continue the tour any time soon?" Fire Opal interrupted since she was here for her son to tour Homeworld.
"Oh, yes. We'll get back to the tour!" Pearl clapped her hands together.
"We'll come back again, bye." Steven waved as the three diamonds and Spinel waved them off.
After a long day of touring around Homeworld, the five were glad to be back home. "That was tiring, I didn't know there was so much stuff on Homeworld," Nova said collapsing on the couch, grunting and giggling when Ezra laid on him.
"Well, there's still more to show you, it is a pretty big planet," Pearl said making the two kids whine.
"We're not going back for more tours yet, so you two will be fine." Steven chuckled as the two kids sat up on the couch.
"I have to say things have changed since I've last been there." Fire Opal commented as she took a seat next to the children.
"What time is it?" Nova asked laying over the side of the couch on his back, looking at his dad who took a look down at his watch.
"Time for someone to go to bed." Steven retorted making Nova whine.
"Yes, it is pretty late. It's Ezra's bedtime as well." Fire Opal said standing up as Ezra groaned.
"But mom! I'm not even tired." Ezra tried telling her before he let out a yawn making her hum with a nod.
"Oh, really? Come on, say good night to Nova, you two can hang out again tomorrow." Fire Opal said making Ezra pout but got off of the couch.
"Night, Nova," Ezra told the other as Nova got off the couch and hugged his friend.
"See you tomorrow," Nova said as the two kids were sent off to get some sleep.
When morning came the next day Nova couldn't wait to see what he and Ezra would do today, yesterday was quite an eventful meeting the other half of his family and doing a tour that took forever. "Bye! I'm going to Ezra's!" Nova called back to his parents.
"Okay, have fun!" Connie called after him as Steven waved him off with a smile as the child ran off to hang out with his taller friend.
Nova couldn't help but smile as he heard Arrowhead barking as he neared the Apel's residence. "Woah, Arrowhead!" He heard Ezra as the door opened and the Great Dane ran up to him, jumping up at him, licking Nova's face causing the black-haired child to laugh as he fell back on his butt.
"Hello to you too, Arrowhead." Nova giggled wiping off the dog spit as Ezra ran over pulling Arrowhead back.
"Hey, Ezra, sorry about him." Ezra giggled as he pets Arrowhead's head as the dog panted as he sat on the grass. "So, anyway today let's go into the forest! There's a stream where we can go swimming in, it'll be fun!" Ezra said as he brought Arrowhead back inside as Nova followed him.
"That sounds awesome! I'll have to get a bathing suit though." Nova told him, closing the door behind him as they went into Ezra's home.
"Don't worry about that, you can borrow one of mine, I have one that is adjustable for you, come on, let's go get it," Ezra said leading Nova up to his room where the taller boy looked around through his drawers until he took out some bathing suits for them. "Here, try it on in here while I change into mine in the bathroom," Ezra said leaving Nova alone in his room to change into their swimwear.
So the bathing suit was a little small on him when he first tried on the shorts but Ezra was right when it was adjustable, using the strings to stretch out the bathing suit to be more comfortable for him to wear.
"You ready!" Ezra called out coming into the room with a big grin on his face as he had two towels in his arms. Nova gave him a thumbs-up as Nova pulled up his pants over the bathing suit as Ezra started heading out towards the forest with Nova close behind.
The two kept walking in the forest, Ezra talking about the place as Nova looked around. The place was really beautiful and serene, Nova liked it. "There it is!" Ezra pointed out as the sound of water was close by as they climbed over some rocks.
"The last one in is a rotten egg!" Ezra told him as he immediately started going down the rocks.
"Hey, that's cheating!" Nova called after him with a laugh as he chased after him, using his powers to jump further down.
"You call me the cheater, you're using powers!" Ezra yelled after him as Nova cannonballed into the water first, coming back up with a grin before Ezra jumped in after him, splashing him.
"Hey, what are you two doing in my mediating area." A new voice yelled at them making the two look over to see a red-haired girl with her arms crossed as she was bare-foot.
"Who are you?" They asked her.
"The name's Terra, and who are you two?" She asked them as she stood on one of the rocks at the shore of the stream.
