Harry Potter and the Dimensional jump
Chapter one (Prologue)
(Please let me know if you are interested in seeing this prologue developed into its own story as it stands the scenario is thrown together with not much thought to act as a starting point.)
And remember that this story by no means follows canon. And to any American readers, I'll be using European terminology (ex, Football instead of Soccer).)

If you were to ask 20 year old Harry James Potter what he wanted to do with his life back when he was eleven years old, and first introduced to the magical world and all its wonders. You probably wouldn't get much of an answer, much less becoming the first stable Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts soon to start his second year of teaching. Nor that he has started writing a book on the subject. Yes, Harry did very well for himself.
However, he still felt hollow and empty, the second wizarding war had taken its toll on Harry , and he had lost everything and just about everyone. Everyone that Harry was close to had died at the hands of Death Eaters, or Voldemort himself.
The Weasleys were gone, killed in the last battle, Hermoine took a killing curse aimed at him., the only one left who Harry had any connection to was Ginny, the sole surviving member of the Weasley family. It was only a few days after that the two were married leaving the Weasley line extinct.
The Wizarding world was left fractured and the ministry of magic never rebounded and Magical Britain has remained leaderless and crime rampant and uncontrolled, with no one to enforce the law, Hogwarts and Hogsmeade where the only safe haven for witches and wizards, outside the Muggle world. Hogwarts Castle has truly become a castle rebuilt to keep its occupants safe with no path in or out of the castle or village without the staff knowing. The grounds where quickly sealed off by a thick stone wall and secondary wall to protect the village. The small area governed by the Hogwarts staff and Headmistress McGongall acting as sovereign.
Hogsmead village was by now a small town, with a steady stream of Witches and Wizards seeking safe haven from the crime ridden magical world from beyond the walls. With the by now lifeless and very dead forbidden forest turned into farmland.
Where we find Harry and Ginny , walking together both leaning into each other.
'Love, what do you think of having children.' Ginny asked, stopping under an apple tree.
'Ginny, you know there is nothing more I would love more to have a family with you.' Harry replied with a tired exhausted smile having had a long day of preparing for lessons.
With the Goblins all killed to extinction and and Gringotts destroyed (along with much of Diagonally), a new bank had to be established and with it introduction of English Pound Sterling (£)
The Potters held a comfortable through not large amount of Monetary funds, alongside an assortment of books.
The two of them continued to walk, they soon reached the black lake, the giant squid poked out a tentacle from below the surface giving them a wave as they passed by.
The entered the rebuilt quidditch stadium now built with a larger capacity and stands no longer towers but fully encompassing the now sunken field.
With quidditch evolving to becoming something similar to football on brooms.
It was surprising to both to see a small golden snitch flying around, as the game has been reduced to a single quaffle.
'What is a snitch doing here?' Harry asked directing the question to no one in particular,
Ginny shook her head mutely, both of them watching the small golden ball perform laps around the pitch at a constantly accelerated pace soon it was nothing but a nothing but a streak of gold passing by. Until there was an abrupt flashed blinding both Ginny and Harry.
When they both opened their eyes it was too a very different environment.
