So I want Marinette and Adrien to be a little older for this romance, so I decided to be a little risky and do something that some people might not like.

*The next day*

Alya: "Early? Again? That's the third time this week!" Alya said as Marinette strolled up to her.

Marinette: "Oh haha. I've just been feeling really motivated lately."

Alya: "Well keep this up and you'll lose all of your precious beauty sleep."

Marinette playfully punched Alya on the arm.

Marinette: "Whatever, I don't need it. I always look this good." Marinette said playfully while flashing a cute cheesy smile.

Adrien: "Hey girls."

Marinette turned white. No, not him. Anyone but him.

Alya: "Hey Adrien."

Adrien: "Marinette, are you okay?"

Marinette: "I'm fine, excuse me I have to go to the bathroom."

Alya turned to Adrien.

Alya: "What did you do?"

Adrien: "Well she told me that she liked me and I couldn't bring myself to lie to her and tell her that I returned her feelings."

Alya: "I knew that part, but it's not like Mari to just kinda diss us like that."

Adrien: "Yeah, you're right. Can you talk to her and tell her that I'm really sorry? I just want my friend back."

Alya: "Let me just tell you now, things will never be the same again. She might just lose feelings and she might become friends with you again, or she could never see you the same way and you could lose her. You have to be willing to accept that things will change no matter what happens."

Adrien: "No, I can't lose her. She means so much to me. I would never forgive myself if she doesn't can't even be within 10 feet of me."

Alya: "Then you just have to give her space and hope for the best. I will help you with her, but don't do anything stupid."

Adrien: "Thank you Alya."

Alya: "Anytime photo face."

Alya walked away. Adrien chuckled at the little nickname she just called him. She was awesome for helping him.

*In the girls bathroom*

Alya: "Marinette?"

Marinette: "In here!"

Alya: "Before I come in, you got your pants pulled up?" This made Marinette laugh.

Marinette: "Yeah come on in."

Alya: "Girl what am I going to do with you?"

Marinette: "You could send me to China and I'll be a little maiden girl."

Alya: "You'll get over him eventually. Listen I know you're sad, but Adrien really doesn't want to lose you. You should have heard him. He said he would never forgive himself if you didn't want to talk to him anymore."

Marinette: "I know this is unfair to Adrien, but it's going to take some time for me to get over him."

Alya: "I know, and I'll help you. Anything you need, you can come to me. Now let's get to class before we are late."

*5th period*

Intercom: I need Marinette Dupain- Cheng to come to the office please, Marinette Dupain- Cheng.

Alya: "What's that about?"

Marinette: "I don't know, probably something to do with the bakery. I'll be right back."

*At the office*

Marinette walks in to see her parents crying.

Marinette: "Maman, Papa what's wrong?"

Sabine: "We're so sorry Marinette, but we have to move away to China."

Marinette: "What? Why?" Marinette ways as tears are threatening to fall.

Tom: "Our bakery has burned down, so we would be homeless. Fortunately, your Aunt Yu Yan has decided to let us stay with her until we can afford another house in China."

Marinette: "When are we leaving?"

Sabine: "Tonight, we will let you stay at school for the rest of the day, then we will go collect what's left of our belongings tonight."

Marinette hugs her parents tightly and runs off to her classroom trying to hold off her tears. As soon as she enters the classroom and sees all of her friends, she breaks down. She starts crying a lot. Alya jumps up from her seat to help her up.

Alya: "Marinette, Marinette what's wrong?"

Marinette: "I'm m-moving t-t-to C-Chin-a."

Everyone fell silent. You could hear soft sobs across the room.

Alya: "What!? When!? Why!?" Alya yells trying to hold back her own tears.

Marinette: "We're leaving tonight, the bakery burned down and we have to go stay with my aunt."

Adrien was speechless. He couldn't talk if he wanted to, which he didn't. Marinette was leaving? No, no she can't be. It's impossible.

Intercom: There will be a school assembly at 2:00 to tell a beloved student here at Françoise Dupont High School, Marinette Dupain- Cheng goodbye and to wish her luck in China.

Across the school in the 11th grade class, Luka heard the announcement and asked to be excused. He went into the bathroom and started to silently cry. A little black butterfly flew into his bracelets.

Hawkmoth: "Hello Retreater, I give you the power to freeze people where they are so they can never leave you. All I want in return is Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculouses."

Luka: "Yes Hawkmoth."

Then Luka was emerged in a cloud of black smoke.
