Alright, folks, this is the second chapter of this story!
Now I'd like to say that despite the controversial content of alcohol depicted, this story seems to be going along well with the fandom. That being said, I'm glad that everyone is taking a liking to this story.
Anyway, for this chapter, Lori gets told by her sisters about being inattentive, a plan gets made out to sober up Lincoln, and some other stuff will be shown. Find out how this'll play out now!
AT THE LOUD HOUSE:
"MY BROTHER HAS BEEN DRINKING ALCOHOL!?" Lori roared exasperatedly, causing the house to shake a little.
To say that Lori was outraged about what she just saw would have been an understatement. For many years when she was left in charge of watching over her less fortunate siblings, she felt that she'd never had to worry about her sisters or Lincoln drinking alcohol. This has everything to do with the fact that their parents rarely (if ever) buy alcoholic beverages, being a 'family-friendly' type of family and all.
Sure, their dad had bought a pint bottle of liquor, but it was being saved for a special occasion when the kids weren't home, and it was kept in the cabinet above the fridge for a reason since the little kids couldn't reach it and weren't told it was in there, and the older sisters knew better than to drink that kind of stuff.
And now, Lincoln found it and consumed the bottle of liquor (whatever the amount that was in there) whole without knowing exactly what it was.
Casting an outraged glare towards her other sisters, Lori then started going off on a rant.
"I can't believe it," Lori snarled. "I can't believe my little brother drank dad's bottle of liquor! He has NO idea HOW much TROUBLE HE'S IN!"
The other sisters were a little unsettled by this and they were worried about what she was going to do to Lincoln. Without warning, they all started to intervene and speak in unison, telling her to have second thoughts about this.
"Okay sis, okay. Our bro did something wrong, but there's no reason to go off on him," Luna told her calmly. "So Lori, I need to ask you to just chill out, and take it easy."
Lori did not take that cool demeanor very well, since she was anything but calm. "Take it easy?! Our brother got himself drunk from drinking dad's liquor, and you're telling me to TAKE IT EASY!?"
"CUT IT OUT, LORI!" Leni shouted back, defending Lincoln. "He didn't drink it on purpose! Like, it was an accident!"
"Yeah dude," Luna backed her up as she looked at the bottle Lori dropped. "There was no label on this bottle that said it was alcohol! How was he to know that it was liquor?! You can't get on him for that, sis! Not like you've been noticing how depressed our bro's been getting anyway."
"H-Huh…? Uh…W-What...?" Lori stuttered in confusion.
"Allow me to point it out to you, eldest sister figure," Lisa decided to elaborate. "Our sole brother has succumbed to this state of depression as a result of the announcement you made that day where you revealed that you were going to be moving out of our humble abode. This, in turn, has caused our brother to fall into this state of despair, which wasn't helped by the fact that you've been anything but sensible and attentive towards Lincoln." Lisa took a deep breath before concluding. "Essentially, drinking this alcoholic beverage was just the tipping point for him, accident or otherwise."
Now Lori had gotten full control of herself again as she huffed at the accusation.
"So what, you guys are blaming me for not noticing Lincoln has been acting this way and how he is literally a mess," Lori queried, sounding offended.
"You're darn right we are," Lynn shouted in her face while chewing her out. "Some sister you turned out to be! If you were to have noticed our bro feeling down in the dumps and talked to him about it instead of focusing on your bogus planning for moving out, he wouldn't be in this mess!"
"May the Lord have mercy on your soul," Lucy muttered in a semi-cold tone.
"I would make a pun right now Lori, but I'm so angry right now, I can't think of one. So I'm just going to spit," Luan sneered as she then proceeds to spit to the side as she promised.
"You should be ashamed of yourself for not paying any attention to Lincoln when he's been depressed," Leni barked.
"Yeah, you said it, sis," Luna added as she gave Lori a glare of her own.
Lori then spent the next minute or so to take in everything that they just said to her. Eventually, a frown forms on her faces as she realizes that this was partially her fault since she should have been paying attention to him as he was still her little brother. True, Lincoln got himself drunk when he shouldn't have, even though it was accidental. But Lori is also responsible for him since he is family.
By this point, Lori felt remorseful about missing these signs. She let out a heavy sigh and finally spoke.
"Well, girls I uh…I guess I have been too focused on getting ready for college, and on moving out," Lori said sadly. "And for that, I'm literally sorry."
"It's not us that you should be apologizing to," Luna scoffed while crossing her arms. "You should be apologizing to Lincoln!"
"Yeah," the other sisters chimed simultaneously.
She took a good look at her drunken brother, as he was heard mumbling under his breath, while stuff was coming out of his mouth.
"Oh, I can't apologize to him when he's literally drunk," Lori moaned. "If you ask me, he probably won't remember most of this."
"But like, you are going to apologize to him, aren't you," Leni had to make sure.
"Of course I will," Lori nodded as she continued to gaze upon her little brother and the shambled condition he was in.
It was then something else hit her; the very thing that allowed her to be in charge in the first place; their parents.
She knew that they were away for the weekend and would be back in a couple of days. She could already see a horrified look on her face when they step in through that front door and find out that Lincoln drank liquor. Based on her vision, it didn't look pleasant at all. So she had to remind her sisters about this.
"Girls, I just remembered something, our parents should be back from their weekend getaway in 2 days or so," Lori informed them. "And when they get back, they are literally not going to be happy once they find out Lincoln drank dad's liquor and got drunk."
"Yeah, we know that sis," Luna then decided to ask. "But is our bro going to get in trouble for this?"
"Oh sure, Lincoln will get into some trouble for drinking alcohol, and our parents will ground him for a week with no video games or comic books, and will have to do extra chores for a month, on top of seeing an alcohol therapist. And that's if he tells them the truth," said Lori. "But I'll literally get in more trouble for being irresponsible when I'm supposed to be taking care of my brother and making sure he doesn't touch dad's liquor!"
The other sisters exchanged looks for a second or so. It was then Leni had something to add to this. "So, are you going to get Linky in trouble and punish him?"
Lori expected that question to pierce through her heart as she looked at the ground and sighed.
"I should be punishing him for this. I literally should," Lori admitted. "But seeing that this was also my fault for being ignorant, I feel like I should get him out of this mess."
The other sisters were all for helping Lincoln get out of this mess and not have him get in trouble with their parents. There was one more thing that they were wondering, and they were hoping that Lori has cooled down a little.
"Are you mad at Lincoln," Luan questioned with a concerned tone in her voice.
"No Luan. No, I'm not mad at Lincoln. I am a little irritated about this, but I'm more ashamed with myself than anything else," Lori answered as she grabbed Lincoln and had him face her with both hands on his sides. "I'm going to make it up to Lincoln for not coming to him when he was depressed, and by that, I'm going to get him out of this mess if it's the last thing I do."
The other sisters smiled at that and were glad that she was going to help him. Lori looked at them and knew that she didn't need a reminder to tell her that her sisters were going to help Lincoln out too. They were a family after all, and they'll also do anything to get Lincoln out of a jam, even if it's as serious as being drunk. Lori returned their gesture with a smile of her own before looking back at Lincoln again.
It was then her brother started slurring something again, and she was able to make out what he was saying.
"Oooooh-hic…L-Lori…I've been waiting so long for you to-hic-return," he told her. "I-hic…I miss ya big sis…I'm happy to see you-hic-again…"
It was then Lincoln felt a strange gurgle in his stomach as if something was coming up. As such, he started to gag, which got Lori concerned and was wondering what was wrong.
Unfortunately, she didn't get any time to react to this at all, for right then and there, Lincoln puked and threw up, right on the front of Lori's shirt. That's right. He threw up, and he left behind a barf green puke stain on her shirt.
Lori was shocked beyond repair by what Lincoln just did. Her eyes had expanded like saucers, and she felt her mouth had jaw-dropped. She couldn't believe that he'd do something like this. But then again, the alcohol inside him was upsetting his stomach, that it caused a reaction and allowed him to vomit. So Lori shouldn't be too surprised by this.
As far as the other sisters were concerned, they were also stunned by this at first. They stood there staring at Lori for a few minutes or so.
Then, all of a sudden, Lynn abruptly broke out into a fit of laughter as she fell onto her back and laughed at what just happened. Lori did not appreciate this, as she scowled her.
"It's not funny Lynn," Lori warned her.
"Haha, yeah right sis," Lynn chuckled. "You should have seen the way he…he…oh ZING! HAHAHAHAHA!"
It was then Lisa put her three cents onto the table. "It would appear that the alcohol that Lincoln consumed didn't sit well with his stomach, causing a reaction to occur and resulted in our brother figure to retaliate accordingly. Therefore, this allowed him to regurgitate the stuff that was upsetting his stomach. Or as you guys would call it; he puked."
"Still, it's not funny," Lori insisted. "Lynn, you literally wouldn't be laughing if this happened to you."
"Probably not. If it did, I'd probably sock the person for puking on me," Lynn remarked before snickering again. "But it didn't happen to me. It happened to you, and that makes it hilarious! Besides, with how our bro's been acting, you should have seen that coming!"
Lynn resumed her cackling fit as Lori continued to bare an annoyed look on her face. All the commotion that occurred from this was enough to gain the attention of the twins, who decided to see what happened.
Before either of them could get a word out though, Lana's focus shifted solely on the puke stain that was on Lori's shirt. Combining that with how Lincoln looked like he just puked and was still in front of Lori, it clicked. She realized what happened.
"Whoa, sis," Lana asked while snickering. "Did...Did Lincoln just puke on you?!"
"Yeah, so," Lori scoffed, seemingly unamused.
"Wow, that's awesome," Lana was amazed by this while she was chuckling. "I think it's cool that our bro just barfed on your shirt!"
Now it was Lola's turn to intervene as she chastised her twin. "Oh give me a break Lana! There's nothing good or funny about having someone throw up on your shirt!"
"Heh, like you would know, prissy," Lana brushed that off with a snort. "Maybe I should puke on one of your pageant dresses."
"You'll do no such thing, you dirtbag!" Lola fired back furiously, glowering at her twin.
"Girls, girls, this is getting us nowhere," Lori scolded them both to be quiet.
"Well look who's talking, Barfzilla," Lana gave her a smirk when she said that.
"Got that right," Lynn laughed. "Better out than in I always say!"
"Well Lori, you have to admit, you got a taste of your own medicine for once," Luna admitted. "You know, being the Princess of Puke and all."
"Aw, don't feel bad Lori," Luan got in on the fun. "After all, that had to have been a good puke-me-up! Hahaha, get it?"
"ALRIGHT GIRLS, THAT'S ENOUGH!" Lori finally snapped to get them to shut it. "We are literally getting off track here, and we should be focused on helping Lincoln!"
"I have to concur with that," Lisa spoke up. "Although these rather immature comments about regurgitating and bile are slightly amusing for my taste, we are also forgetting that the well-being of our brother figure is our top priority."
"Exactly Lisa," Lori nodded. "And that's why we have to do something about our brother."
"Like, what do you think we should do Lori?" Leni asked curiously.
"It's simple, we got to get Lincoln all sobered up before our parents get home," Lori exclaimed to them.
"But mom and pops won't be back for a couple of days," Luna pointed out. "That'll give us plenty of time to kill sis."
"Well, I'm not willing to take any chances," Lori knew that that was true, but she had to be ready for anything and expect the unexpected. "The fact is we have to do this right and we gotta get him sobered."
"Hmm, and I presume that you know something about the methods on getting sober," Lisa looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Pffft, yeah right," Lynn snorted in disbelief. "How would you know how to get sober up anyway, sis?"
"Plenty for a fact," Lori deadpanned. "For starters, I've seen several videos on YouTube on my phone, which shows how to literally get sober from drinking. Then there's the fact that I've seen people getting drunk at the colleges I've checked out during the orientations."
"Oh really?" Lynn still didn't quite believe her.
"I'm serious Lynn," Lori shouted before adding. "Well…that and somewhere along the line, uh…Bobby got himself drunk one time when we were checking out the college, and I had to literally sober him up, pronto."
"Bobby got what?!" All the sisters shouted together as they were wondering when this happened.
"Long story," said Lori hastily, wanting to change the subject. "The point is, we have to get Lincoln to sober up as they did on YouTube."
None of the sisters objected to that. However, Leni was still confused about something, and it had to do with getting sober. "Like, how are we going to get Linky sober?"
"Well, there are a lot of steps that we have to follow, and we are all going to have to work together to make this work," Lori explained. "These are the following things that have to be done to ensure that he's completely sober: drink strong black coffee, drink water and juice, exercise, take a cold shower, take a carbon pill, and most importantly, sleep it off. All of these can be followed to get someone not drunk. Am I making myself clear?"
"Yes Lori," the others all nodded and chimed.
"Good," Lori smiled and got on with it. "Now that we got that out of the way, it's time to plan this out. We'll each do one part individually, and we will each take a turn to help Lincoln out. I'll be playing the biggest role here and supervising him through all of these methods so he can corporate. The first thing that's gonna happen is that I'm gonna make Lincoln drink some strong black coffee."
"Uh, there's one problem with that, sis. We can't give our brother coffee," Luna reminded her. "You remember what happened last time he had coffee when he was planning on sitting at the big boy table with us?"
"Yeah," Luan joked. "He took one sip, and then coffee'd up and spat it out at us, heh heh heh!"
"Well girls, we don't have a choice," Lori was persistent with this. "And if I literally have to force it down his throat, then so be it."
"Well if you say so, brah," Luna still wasn't all for that, but she couldn't do anything about it.
"Anyway, Luan, after Lincoln has had that coffee, you are going to have Lincoln drink some lighter refreshments," Lori told the jokester sister. "That means you'll be giving Lincoln some water, as well as some orange juice and apple juice."
"Water you talking about, apples and oranges? That sounds juicy," Luan cracked another couple of puns, which Lori rolled her eyes at.
"And another thing, Lincoln will have to do some exercises too, after he drinks the water and juices," Lori directed her attention towards Lynn, the athletic sister. "Lynn, I am entrusting you to take on the task of making sure Lincoln exercises a little."
That caused Lynn to smirk and have a boast of confidence. "You've come to the right person, sis. I'll be sure to give Lincoln here several warm-up exercises that he'll never forget. And then I have him drink one of my raw-protein milkshakes afterwards."
"Sounds fair enough," Lori shrugged before looking at Leni. "Which reminds me, Leni, I need you to help Lynn by literally making the milkshake for Lincoln. And it has to be done by blending milk, peppers, hot sauce, hot mustard, and a raw egg."
"O-M-Gosh, that is like, totes a good idea, Lori," Leni seemed happy about that. "Though the kind of milkshake you want doesn't sound like one I'd drink. But I'll be happy to make Linky a milkshake as you want it."
"Glad to hear it," Lori sighed in relief. "I have a feeling that the milkshake will also help with getting him clearheaded."
"Hey Lori," Lola got her attention. "What can we do to help?"
"Yeah," Lana seemed eager. "We want to help Lincoln too. We don't know anything about being 'sober', but we want to help anyway."
Lori looked at their determination and sighed. They were still little kids and they should be in bed. But given the circumstances, she realized that there was something they could do for him after all.
"Okay, I would normally have you two go to bed," Lori admitted. "But now that I think of it, there is something that you two can do for me."
"Alright. Let's hear it," they said in unison.
"Sure, now here's how it goes. Lincoln has to take a cold shower, but I want to be sure that it is a cold shower and there's no hot water," Lori proclaimed. "So I need you two to use up all of the hot water in the bathroom. That means there should be literally no hot water in the sink, and especially in the bathtub. Now I trust both of you to do this task. Do you understand?"
They both nodded. Since they were going to use up the hot water in the bathroom, they may as well have a little fun while doing it. It didn't matter how they use it all up. The only thing that mattered was that they make sure it's all gone, right?
Lola was pretty thrilled about this as she smiled. "This'll be fun! I can take a nice hot shower!"
"Yeah, yeah, you can take your 'nice hot shower' Lola," Lana retorted. "I've got something else planned with wasting the hot water, and it involves filling the sink with hot water. Heh heh, this is going to be fun."
Lori shrugged that off and continued with explaining the plan.
"Moving on, we'll also have to give Lincoln a charcoal capsule, or carbon pill," Lori brought up. "Unfortunately, we don't have any carbon pills, and they sell them at the drugstore. It looks like I'll have to get some."
"Oh please, don't waste your time with spending your monetary gains on such inferior consumable medication since it doesn't do much for the human body when under the influence of alcoholic toxin," Lisa intervened. "Frankly, I can construct one myself for this special occasion."
"Really? And how do you plan on doing that?" Lori queried.
"It's an effortless task for one of my ingeniousness, eldest sister," Lisa told her. "All that is required is an ounce of charcoal, which I have at my disposal that was leftover from the fireplace. In other words, it's a burnt particle from the wood that was charred. With that, I shall combine it with a couple of soporifics, ergo, some of our maternal figure's sleeping pills, or hypnotics as I like to call them."
Lori was growing suspicious about this. If there was one thing she knew more than anything, it's the fact that Lisa tends to concoct some new ingenious experiment and use one of her siblings. She's done it a couple of times before, so this wouldn't be a first.
"Alright Lisa," Lori raised an eyebrow at her. "Is this another one of your experiments that you plan on performing on Lincoln?"
"Certainly not," Lisa denied that accusation. "This is just a little concoction that I can whip up to ensure that Lincoln can get to sleep faster. If there is one thing that is accurate about sobriety, it's that plenty of rest and slumber will help with fighting off those horrible toxins found in alcohol. Essentially, sleeping it off is a given method to get abstemious entirely."
"Well, that's true. Sleep is the best way to sober up," Lori scratched her chin, understanding that method. "Frankly, I should forbid you from doing something like this, but I'll make this a sole exception."
"Your acknowledgment is most appreciated eldest sister," Lisa remarked. "I assure you that this will not do anything harmful to our brother at all."
"Alright, and it better not either," Lori warned before moving onward. "And after that, we'll kill some time while we wait. Luna, I'd like to have you sing and play a song for Lincoln while the pill takes effect so he can pass out gradually."
"You got it, sis," Luna smiled. "I'd be glad to sing and play a song for our bro until he falls asleep."
"And then when he's out cold, I'll read one of my poems to him," Lucy said abruptly, getting the others to jump as they remembered she was still there.
"Dang it," Lori panted out of fright. "I literally forgot that Lucy was still with us."
"Sigh," Lucy muttered. "Anyway, when I read one of my poems to him, it should be enough to drive off the 'demons' that are inflicting pain and suffering in his body."
Lori smiled nervously at that as Lisa rolled her eyes profoundly.
"...right," Lori said awkwardly as she decided to move on. "Anyway, I'm glad that we have all that set up, and each of us knows what we have to do."
"Uh, I still have a question brah," Luna then brought up. "What are we going to do about the empty bottle of liquor that Lincoln drank from? Pops will end up learning that Lincoln drank it."
It was that realization that caused Lori to snap her fingers. "Dang it, that's a good point Lunes."
She spent the next moment or so thinking when the idea came to her.
"Well girls, we'll have to get a new bottle of liquor that's the same size as the bottle Lincoln drank from. Then we'll pour the liquid from the new bottle into the empty bottle, and make it look like no one even drank it," Lori told them.
"Wait a minute, we're underage," Luan brought up. "We are under the age of 21, heh heh. Get it?"
"Oh wait, that's right," Lori noticed another flaw in the plan, as Luan pointed out. "NONE of us are over 21! So that means we can't legally buy alcohol. This is literally going to be a problem for us…"
The next few minutes were spent with Lori trying to come up with an idea on how they can resolve this problem. All of a sudden, Leni spoke out of nowhere something that they could go with.
"Hey wait a minute, why don't we get Clyde's dads to help us out," Leni suggested absentmindedly. "They can like, totes get the alcohol since they're old enough, and they can deliver it to us."
Once she was finished, everyone looked at her as if she grew an extra head. Naturally, they would have disregarded it as stupid, but she seemed to be onto something this time. Lori knew that she had a point because frankly, both of Clyde's dads are the only ones they can trust to take on such a task and not let it get out in the open. The last thing they needed was for their parents to find out that their kids got an adult to buy liquor for them. That would end in devastation. Fortunately, this was the most sensible idea that they could go with.
"Well, I guess we don't have much of a choice," Lori sighed. "Alright, we'll call Clyde's dads and see if they can help us out."
"Great," Leni beamed and clapped her hands together.
"You know," Lisa had to admit the truth. "For such a simpleton sister like yourself, when you do come up with something magnificent, it is considered brilliant in the long run," Lisa admitted to her.
"Awww, well thanks for that," Leni smiled innocently as Lisa nodded dully.
"Alright, now that we got that squared away," Lori got them back on track while making the demand. "Luna, you go and call Clyde's house number."
"What? Why do I have to call his house sis," she inquired with a slight amount of annoyance in his voice.
"Because if I call them, and Clyde answers, he will end up fainting and getting a nosebleed the moment he hears my voice," Lori told her dryly.
"Good point Lor," Luna understood this. "Alright, I'll call their house."
And so, Luna proceeds to get on the phone and call Clyde's house...
It took a few minutes for Luna to dial the number and then hit call, along with waiting for it to get through. Afterwards, the call was accepted, and it was Clyde who answered the phone.
"Hello, this is Clyde McBride speaking," he gave his greetings.
"Hey Clyde, listen, it's Luna," she got to the point. "We have a code red-orange!"
This was enough to make Clyde gasp. "You guys are out of supplies again?!"
Luna had a bewildered look on her face before she shook her head.
"No dude, that's code yellow-green," Luna corrected. "This is a code red-orange!"
This got Clyde to gasp again, only this time he figured it out. "Lincoln went and touched something he shouldn't have, and is now in a state of disarray?"
Now they were getting somewhere. Luna smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, that's pretty much spot-on, mate," said Luna. "Listen, could you go and get your dads on the phone? This is major important, and we need to talk to them about something."
Clyde was pretty skeptical about that request. He wanted more than anything to go down there and help Lincoln, but something on his conscious told him that his sisters were taking care of him. As a frown formed on his face, he recalled how he tried to call and talk to Lincoln on occasions as an attempt to cheer him up. Sadly, depression was a bit too much for his friend, and he started talking to him less and less. And eventually, he stopped trying to call him altogether, hoping that he'd be able to work out these inner demons for himself. Granted, he doesn't know what Lincoln is going through since he's an only child, and he wanted to suggest Dr. Lopez to his pal. But this was something that Lincoln has to decide for himself, and he has to make the decision; something that Clyde couldn't control.
After several minutes of thinking, Clyde finally decided to get his fathers on the phone.
"Alright Luna," Clyde sighed. "Give me one moment."
And thus, he left the phone to go get his fathers, which left the other side of the line empty for the moment.
It didn't take less than a minute for them to get to the phone and they answered.
"Hello, Luna," Howard McBride was the one who spoke. "What can we do for you?"
"Our son Clyde told us that you have something important that you want to tell us," Harold McBride said. "Is something the matter?"
Luna's face lit up as this was her chance. "Hello, Mr. and Mr. McBride. Listen, we need a huge favor from you, and it's really important."
"Well sure," Howard said. "What kind of favor?"
"Just tell us what this favor is, and we'll see what we can do," Harold added.
"Okay dudes," Luna smiled. "Now, I'd like you two to go to the convenient store and a pint bottle of alcohol."
"Don't forget, they need to get liquor," Lori said, standing right next to Luna.
"Oh right, we need a pint bottle of liquor," Luna corrected herself.
Naturally, the McBride fathers were shocked by the request that they were giving them. It's not every day that someone would ask them to buy some liquor, by someone under the age of 21 no less. Both of them look reluctant and hesitant as they exchanged looks nervously. After taking in the request, they decided to reply.
"Uh…I dunno Luna," Howard said meekly. "Aren't you kids a little young to be drinking?"
"Oh trust me. This isn't for drinking," Luna told them. "There was an accident that occurred, and we seriously need some help."
"Well, if you'd like to talk with us about the accident, we are more than happy to listen," Harold told her. "It's always better to get off what's on your chest if you've gotten into an accident. That's what Dr. Lopez told Clyde."
"Right," Luna sighed. "Let me start from the beginning…"
And so, Luna proceeded to tell them everything, from how Lincoln consumed some of dad's liquor that was in the cabinet above the fridge while not knowing what it was, to how he got drunk as a result. And she also told them that they want them to get the pint bottle of alcohol for them before their parents get back home so they don't get into any trouble, on top of the sisters planning on getting Lincoln sobered up again.
"And so as you can see Mr. and Mr. McBride, Lincoln didn't mean to do this on purpose. He didn't know that it wasn't liquor, and he was also suffering from depression," Luna wrapped things up. "So that's why we want you guys to do us this huge favor for us. Please? We would ask for nothing less from you guys."
As soon as Luna was finished, the McBride fathers took the next few minutes to think this over. Like most good parents, they believe that Lincoln shouldn't have been drinking some of his father's liquor, and it was wrong. However, they knew Lincoln well enough to know that he was a good kid, and he wouldn't do anything like this on purpose. He means well, as do his sisters. Combine this with how all of his sisters will undoubtedly have his back in any given situation, it's a given that they'd call them and beg them for this kind of favor since they were under the age of 21.
There's also the fact that they knew that Lincoln has been feeling under the weather lately, as their son kept trying to cheer him up, to no avail. They have to wonder what Lincoln was going through before getting drunk when Lori told all of her siblings that she was moving out soon, and it seemed like a justifiable reason for being depressed. The fathers hope that the girls know what they're doing to help Lincoln out and if they knew anything about getting someone sobered up, no less an 11-year-old boy.
After spending these next few minutes thinking it over, they finally reached their decision and gave their answer.
"Alright Luna, we've done some thinking," Howard told her. "And we've finally reached our decision."
"Yes?" Luna was curious about their response.
"We'll get a pint bottle of liquor just for this one instance," Harold answered.
"Really," Luna queried with the other girls surrounding her, looking relieved.
"Yes, but on one condition." Howard got to the point. "If we do this for you guys, you have to promise us to never let this happen again, and make sure Lincoln doesn't drink anymore liquor."
"Trust us girls, drinking alcohol is a big mistake," Harold said. "It's a bad thing to do, especially when you're underage."
"Believe me, Harold and I use to drink liquor when we were in college," Howard confessed. "But we ended up quitting when we became family men. We got married, and we lessened our drinking habit."
"But we gave up on drinking once Clyde came into our lives," Harold admitted. "Since then, we've stopped drinking alcohol altogether...with a few scarce exceptions."
"But when we do drink, it'll be only for seldom rare occasions when Clyde isn't around," Howard said. "And when we do have alcohol, we keep it up in the cabinet above the fridge, and we lock it up with a lock for safekeeping. We did this to ensure that our son will live a healthy long life without drinking, and remaining sober."
It was then Lisa overheard what they said about a lock. Suddenly, this gave her an idea that involved them using a lock too and following their example. But she decided to save that idea for later.
"Right, we'll get on it," Luna was all for it. "We'll make sure that our bro or any of us will never have this happen again."
"Great," Harold said. "And one more thing, we've heard from our son that Lincoln is depressed. As soon as all of this goes over, may we suggest that your brother starts seeing Dr. Lopez about his depression with your sister moving out and all?"
"Uh, sure dude," Luna didn't see any harm in that. "I'll have to talk to my sister Lori about that, but I'm sure that we can work that out."
"Good," both of them said in unison. "We'll get the pint bottle of liquor and get it to you as soon as possible."
"Thank you, Mr. and Mr. McBride," the girls all said simultaneously.
"You're welcome. We'll see you soon," and with that, they ended the call, and the sisters got that squared away.
The girls headed back to Lori's room as Lincoln was with Lori the whole time. She didn't allow him to leave her sight, so she kept a firm grip on his arm.
"Phew. Well, that takes care of that," Lori wiped her forehead with her free hand as they entered her room. "Now it's going to take them a while to get here with the liquor, so we have to be patient. In the meantime, we'll work on getting Lincoln sobered up. Now let me give you all the rundown on how this is going to work. I'll start by forcing our brother to drink down some strong black coffee, and then Luan will give him some water, and some apple juice and orange juice. After that, Lynn will give Lincoln some of her warm-up exercises, and then with Leni's help, she will give Lincoln a glass of her raw milkshake. By then, the twins should be done using up all of the hot water in the bathroom so Lincoln can take a cold shower and not come out until he is done. From there, Lisa should be finished with creating her homemade carbon capsule for him to swallow once he's dried up and changed into his PJs. Afterwards, Luna will sing and play Lincoln a song while we wait for the pill to get him to sleep, and finally, Lucy will read one of her poems to Lincoln. Do I make myself clear with what we have to do?"
"Yes, Lori," all of them said together.
"Good. That means we literally have everything planned out," Lori commented, arms crossed proudly as they had this down.
"Hey sis, I have a question," Luna brought up. "Do you think that any of the liquor that he drank will affect his health?"
"Yeah, we hope that Lincoln's health won't be all boozed up," Luan added with a pun.
Lori gave Luan a cold glare for that, before turning to face Luna and answering her question.
"To be honest Luna, it shouldn't. And I hope it doesn't either," Lori explained. "The alcohol hasn't been in him for very long, and it seems that it was just recent. We were literally lucky to have found him in this state when we did. Plus, the bottle only had half a pint in it since that's all that was in that bottle. If he were to have drunk several pints of liquor, then we would be in serious trouble, but he didn't. So no, this shouldn't be a problem. Just as long as we get him sober, and if we do what we need to, there shouldn't be any problems."
"Indeed," Lisa threw in her comment. "Even so, underage drinking is not good for the health and the brain, since it normally leads to being alcohol dependent, meaning having to rely on alcohol with no resistance. Alcohol has also been proven by many experts to kill and damage brain cells if an underage drinker were to consume heavy doses of it. And considering that Lincoln is still developing into his adolescent phase, being a preteen, and since we already have a sister who is somewhat of an ignoramus, it'd be best to get him under sobriety and fast. And as our eldest sister pointed out, the liquor bottle only has less than a half of a pint in it, so if we take the precautions sooner than later, Lincoln should be able to make it out okay."
"That's a good point, Lisa," Lori nodded. "And even if something were to come up, we can always take the suggestion that Clyde's dads gave us and have Lincoln see Dr. Lopez for help."
"Sigh. I hope that Lincoln can be cured of this rancid infestation that is plaguing his body," Lucy hoped.
"All of us hope that our bro can make it through this a-okay," Lynn commented. "It would suck if he were to go down on us man."
"It literally would blow," Lori got them back on track. "Now I think we should get to work."
"I still have like, one question Lori," Leni reminded her. "What are you going to do about your shirt which still has that puke stain on it?"
"Not a problem Leni. I literally have a dozen shirts like this one," Lori brushed off. "I'll just change into a fresh new one, and this one will go into the washer, and it'll get washed with the other laundry when the time comes to do so."
"Like, okay," Leni said innocently.
"So with that being said, I'm gonna have to have you all get out of my room for the moment," Lori ordered. "I need to change into a new shirt, and I would like some privacy. You girls just go and get ready to do your assigned jobs for helping our brother."
None of them commented on that as they all left their rooms to get to the tasks that they were given. Leni was about to leave when Lori called out to her.
"And Leni," she directed her attention to Lincoln. "I'd like you to get Lincoln out of here. He may be drunk, but I don't want to be indecent in front of my little brother."
"Sure," she complied. "Come on Linky, let's get out of here."
"Ohhhh-hic…Leni," he murmured as they walked out of the room. "Have you ever heard of a Dipsy Doodle? If you wanna do the Doodle, do the Dipsy Doodle! Doo, doo, doo, do the Dipsy Doodle..."
"Like, I totes don't get it Linky. What's so special about a 'Dipsy Doodle'," Leni encouraged as they went to the stairs. "Is it someone who wants to draw while swimming in the pool?"
As she kept talking to him, Lori watched them walk off. When they were out of sight, Lori went and closed the door behind her to strip out of her shirt and put on a clean one. She would throw the dirty one in the washer and make sure it gets washed when the time came. But for now, she decided to put on a new shirt and then would proceed on getting Lincoln sobered up. It was now getting dark, but Lori knew that she had a job to do, as do the other sisters. The sooner they get him sobered, the better. When she was done with changing her shirt, she opened the door and walked out to take care of business. This was going to be one heck of a wild night that Lori and the rest of her sisters were in for…

Now, if you'd like to leave a review, go right ahead. It can be either constructive criticism on what I could do better, or it can be a positive review that tells me what you liked about it.
And lastly, I'd like to thank Delquea for convincing me to keep these author notes brief and short. Otherwise, that's all I have. Until the next chapter, thanks again for reading!
