A/N: I am back, I had a lot of things happen in my life so I haven't had as much time as I wanted to write this fic and also I had some writers block for a while so that didn't help but i am back to writing this fic full time! Comment what you are hoping to see. I like some of the suggestions I've been getting.

Crisis happened in between chapters just in case anyone was wondering. But what I am going to do is keep some of the old continuity and try and combine it with the crisis changes as they come in the series, just so that I'm able to still write the story without making all the chapters from scratch as that would take forever. Just drop a comment on whether it's working or not

At Kara's flat

"Kara are you here" for some reason Alex felt scared and was on her guard "we need to talk" but, she soon realised that Kara was not here as all the rooms were empty. But something was still up and the air felt like it was repelling from her and so she drew her weapon. Then it happened.

High above the cloud - Kara's current location

Alex and James all think I'm worthless. I know it, they all look at me as if the only thing special about me is that I'm supergirl Kara thinks her thoughts. Corrupted further by the sludge she started to see her sister and James as manipulators trying to make her something she does want to be anymore. After the corruption had fully flooded her brain a feeling hit her a feeling of pure anger but it was more controlled unlike the red kryptonite which was more scattered in her rage then suddenly her mind snapped supergirl NO. she was no longer that basic hero she was no longer a super, she was more than her cousin, she was more than her family crest - actually no, she wanted to keep the family crest but change it, make it represent the new her something full of hope but also vicious if messed with, and so the sludge using Kara's deepest and darkest thoughts created something anew, then she changed the 'S' making it more spiked up and vicious then due to the increased powers of the alien she could now have her eyes continuously be a glow with her heat vision without it setting alight anything that came in view of her, making her much more menacing, then she bulked up slightly.

Thinking it was a good idea to get back to work she started flying, then suddenly a red blur punched her down to the ground. Then using her increased speed and strength she sends punches that would sprain superman's jaw but shockingly Kara's opponent took the punches, then as they both increase the sharpness and power of their punches to each other, the blur gives a kick to Kara's Jaw also adding a more powerful sting with it's sharp claws, this sends her falling down towards the same location where the slude's parent who had absorbed Brock's energy was nesting, as Kara crashes into the nest her suit starts absorbing the sludge on the inside the sewer, this made Kara even stronger as she now had the whole sludge inside her this allows her to start getting the upper hand but then the red monster realising that it was losing retreats.

Later at the Watchtower.

"You okay Kara?" J'onn asked Kara after she had come to the watchtower after her fight with the mysterious person in red, "Yeah I'm fine, anyway do we know who made another metallo?" Kara asks tiredly. "Well I've asked some sources that still remain at the DEO to help but with, crisis having happened it could be that he was never defeated in the first place or another many different things." "Ok, this is our next move J'onn, we'll ask Barry if anything has appeared on star lab's sensors. "Ok he should be able to help with that" "I'm going to let Alex know" J'onn adds "don't, she's got a lot going on it's fine really it's not a big deal, it's only remnants of CADMUS" Kara responds with an untone of venom "issue is thought Kara we don't even know if CADMUS was destroyed with the demise of Lillian Luthor or if she even led it in the first place" J'onn counters "good point I'll call her" Kara relents after this she leaves.

CADMUS' Underground Bunker on the outskirts of National City

"...We have the tech from Lex Luthor, we have the drive to make a difference from Lillian Luthor, so I believe we have everything we need to defeat the kryptonians." the commander finished, hopping his speech had rallied the troops as he knew that it would be tough battle ahead if they were going even stand a chance against the supers, the'd all been brainwashed by Lillian, to believe that the supers are actually a scourge to the people of earth and some other rhetoric to really make these people believe in her cause.

Catco

Kara had just gotten back to Catco when Andrea summons Kara to her office "Kara what is the progress on the report that you are working on currently" Andrea asks Kara wanting to know what her progress was with the report on alien drugs that was happening in National City currently, "I'll be done when I have time" Kara responds with a look of carelessness crossing her features. Andrea is shocked at Kara's response "Kara is there a reason you are acting like this? Do you need time off due work stress or something?" Kara starts getting more worked up "No I've just had enough of this crap for one day" Andrea seeing no other option "Kara I am going to have to ask you to take some time off or I will have to fire you for your outbursts, normally I would fire you on the spot but given the relationship you have with Catco I don't think that would be wise at this time" Kara the symbiote's hormones raging through her "I don't care Andrea you do what you want I'm done with this crap" Kara having completely lost it decides to leave.

Above the skies of National City

Kara now in her new Symbiotic outfit was itching to do something with all this pent up anger also in play was the symbiote's hormones which were playing with her inhibitions causing a rise in her aggression and rage. It was at this moment that Kara heard a call for help as a person was in trouble as a group of aliens were about to assault someone. she flew down. When she got there a bunch of aliens were just about to beat up this man and his wife to nothing as they were high on a particular drug that seemed to only affect aliens. At this point a dark figure with supergirl's face decided to join in and started beating up all the aliens at the scene within an inch of their lives, after this the figure left the couple scarred but unharmed. She followed this pattern with all the criminals she encountered that night.

The next morning

Kara arrived for work much more carefree and relaxed than she normally would, she also dressed way less demure than normally would, she put her feet on the desk when no one was looking and was way less censored in how she addressed people. Then she got a communication from J'onn asking her to come to the watchtower so she just left without telling anyone so Nia was confused to why Kara was acting strangely,

The watchtower

"Kara we have a hit on the CADMUS outpost, it was on the outskirts of National City, here the location, do you think they'll have kryptonite to be able to stop you?" J'onn asked after giving a quick rundown of events as they had transpired Kara nonchalantly responded "no I don't think so it's a small base from the looks of things I should be able to handle it" "Okay I'll be here if you think you need me" J'onn said as he was fine with running point from the watchtower but he made sure to let Nia know that Kara was going on mission and to be on standby.

The Outpost

The forces of CADMUS had expected supergirl so they planned accordingly. Unfortunately for them, what was waiting for them wasn't supergirl, it was something else. It was fast and efficient, it didn't just knock them out, it was far more ferocious it started killing them. That is when they tried the kryptonite weaponry but it had no effect (due to symbiote flying through her veins). So the brutal monster continued massacring the CADMUS troops with not a care in the world. After it was done it cleaned out all the bodies and mess it had caused and called in the DEO to investigate. It also informed J'onn that the job was done and all the CADMUS soldiers had been taken care of. Then it flew off home she was feeling tired, so she went straight to sleep and at that point she had some very strange dreams.
