A/N: Hi all! So what a long wait for an update! I'm sorry! Life just gets in the way and I forgot all about my account! Well, here is the next chapter!

warm skin, your touch, pulls me and holds me speechless
too much is not enough, little more so I can think less
we don't talk much, barely speak. caught my attention so easily
I try to stare less obviously; roll my eyes, take a minute, make a move then breathe.

After her class and with everything that had gone on during the day, with meeting Jacob and crazily agreeing to becoming a surrogate mother for Him... And his wife. Nessie slumped herself onto her couch in defeat. What a day! She thought. All the thoughts going through her head had really drained her energy little by little.

Sighing, she got off the couch and went into the kitchen to get a glass of OJ from the fridge. Before sitting down on her settee again putting the T.V on as she waited for her roommate to get home.

Alice, her roommate was a petite little thing who worked at a cute little boutique store in Port Angeles and had been friends with Nessie's older brother Edward when they were at college. She had offered Ness the spare room since she was hardly ever there.

Jacob... He had been on her mind most of the day, his attractive features embedding there way into Nessie's mind every now and again. Shaking her head at the thought of him again, she took another sip of her drink.

Ness and Jacob hadn't specified a time or date for starting the surrogacy, thankfully. And Nessie was hoping for some time, she wanted to do it, for Jacob. She wasn't going go back out now after she saw the look on Jacob's face earlier when she agreed to it. A look of adoration for her, almost admiring. But she wanted to get to know him. I mean, she was gonna have too! She will be carry his child for 9 months.

Jacob had said he would call her during the week to discuss things more. And she was excited and nervous at the thought of talking to him again. Ness had decided that she was going to tell Jacob that she wanted to get to know him a little bit first before they choose a date. That seemed fair, right? She didn't just want to, and to put it bluntly, pretty much turkey baste her self with his sperm and not even know anything about him on a more personal level. She knew he was attractive and he was clearly a native from La Push but what did he do for a living? Clearly he made enough money to offer what he did in the ad.

Taking yet another sip of her juice she let her mind wonder as she flicked through the channels on her T.V.

The turning of the key in the front door broke Ness out of her thoughts. As her roommate and best friend Alice walked through the front door, dumping her bag on the kitchen island, she chimed "Nessie, I'm home!"

"I'm in the living room, Al!" Ness yelled back.

Alice cheerfully skipped into the the living room, jumping onto the settee next to Ness.

"How was your day Ness? Spill!" Alice beamed a smile at Ness, turning to face her on the couch. Alice had always been bubbly and over enthusiastic.

"How was my day…. Well.." Ness averted her eyes away from Alice's prying eyes. Now feeling embarrassed. How was she going to tell her friend what she had agreed to without getting judged? Or told it was a bad decision?

"Well..?" Alice pried.

"I, um, I met a guy today and -" Ness was cut short by Alice's squeal of delight.

"A guy?! Spill the details, Ness! It's been too long since you even spoke of a guy let alone met one!" Alice laughed, her eye's lit up like a puppy.

"Alice!" Ness scolded, her eyes glaring at her so-called best friend. She continued. "Yes, I met a guy! And we had a serious discussion about something I've been thinking of doing for awhile now..." Ness took a deep breath.

"And I've decided that I'm going to carry his child, through traditional surrogacy, I know you won't approve but I've made up my mind and told him I would go through with it." Ness rushed her speech without taking a breath in between. Her eye's now looking everywhere but Alice as she waited anxiously for her to reply.

"Oh.." Was all Alice said shocked, her gaze fixed on Nessie. "But you're so young, Ness.. Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Yes, I do.. I have thought about it and I want to do it, for Jacob. And it's not like I'm doing it for free… He's paying me" Ness replied, her eyes more confident in her decision as she looked up to Alice's gaze.

Alice sighed softly before speaking. "Ness, you're my best friend. I will always support you, you know that. I don't think this is a good decision but if it's one you are going to stick by you know I will always be there." Her hand coming up to rest of Nessie's shoulder.

"I know, Alice. I know." Ness smiled shyly at Alice.

Smiling back at Nessie, Alice spoke softly. "I want to meet this so called guy and get to know him too!" Alice chuckled. "Is he single? I don't want you to rush into this Ness. "

"He's married, actually.." Ness paused for a second before continuing. "And I won't Alice, I'm going to call Jacob tomorrow to discuss it all." Ness grinned slightly at Alice, before pulling her into a hug.

"Thanks for understanding and not prying to much."

"It's fine Ness, besides… I came home this morning and saw the ad on your bedroom desk but I didn't think anything of it, I guess you actually meeting a guy so out of the blue makes sense now!" Alice laughed, her head tilting back as she did.

"Geez, thanks" Ness grumbled as she stood up from the couch.

"Well, I'm off to bed Al!"

"So soon? It's only 8:30." Alice replied.

"Yeah, I have an early morning and need to sleep to wrap my head around how today has escalated so quickly." Ness smiled back at Alice before walking out of the living room to her room.

"Ok, well goodnight Ness! I'm always here when you need me!" Alice called out.

"I know, Al! Night!" Ness called as she gently shut her bedroom door behind her.

Once Ness had gotten into her PJ's, she climbed into bed, going through the contacts on her phone - coming across Jacob's name she paused staring at the screen.

I will call him tomorrow, she thought. Determined to not back out and wait for his call first.

Slowly Ness's eyes started to flutter, pulling her into sleep. Into her dreams, where she dreamed of a certain Native she had met earlier that day.

A/N: I'm a bit rusty so sorry if this isn't great! :) Let me know what you think! I appreciate the feedback, thoughts, questions, future ideas, etc!

(Ness didn't beat around the bush to tell Alice what she had decided, let's just say this Ness is very confident in what she wants.) ;)

Until next time! x
