Nessie had woken up late the next day, not setting her alarm last night as she had the day off from work and no art class either.

But after last night Nessie couldn't help but feel relieved she had gotten what she saw off of her chest. She had felt extremely guilty keeping it from Jacob for the past week and even though it would hurt Jacob to find out what she had saw she knew it was for the best. That and Irina didn't deserve Jacob, that Nessie was sure of.

Over the past few weeks she and Jacob had gotten to know each other she knew Jacob was hurting emotionally from the way his wife seemed to dismiss his feelings, even Rachel didn't take to kindly to Irina and it was clear from the party that Irina was a selfish, self centred woman.

Reaching over her bed side table Nessie reached for her phone, noticing a text from Jacob about meeting up. Nessie's brows furrowed in worry, she hoped Jacob was ok. Maybe he needed a shoulder to cry on?

Nessie hastily replied, saying she could meet him wherever he wanted. And waited for his reply.

It wasn't long before Jacob replied, saying he would pick her up around 2pm after he sorted some things out, was he talking it through with Irina? Maybe Jacob was going to work it out with her? Nessie's brows furrowed deeper at the thought. Surely he wouldn't stay with her? He'd be a fool if he did.

Shaking her head at her thoughts Nessie got up from her bed, stretching as she did and made her way to the kitchen to grab a drink. It was only 11:24am she had plenty of time to get ready before Jacob got there.

As she made her way into the kitchen Nessie heard the distinct sound of Alice's delicate voice. She saw Alice sat by the kitchen island chatting happily away on her phone.

Alice beamed a smile over at her when she walked into the kitchen before getting pulled back into whatever conversation she was having. Nessie smiled briefly back, making her way over to the fridge, grabbing the OJ carton and pouring her self a glass before she slumped down on one of the kitchen stools opposite Alice, taking a big gulp of her juice, her throat was as dry as sand paper.

Once Alice had finished talking on the phone she moved to sit next to Nessie, smiling as she did. "Hey sleeping beauty, how was the party last night?" She questioned.

"It was good, I guess." Nessie mumbled.

"Just good? Does this have something to do with Jacob?" Alice pried, arching one of her brows in question at Nessie.

"I guess." Nessie shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it.

"Alright, I get it." Alice smiled softly at Nessie. "Tell me when you're ready." Alice added.

Nessie sighed softly at Alice, even though she didn't want to talk about last night she couldn't not tell Alice, she was her best friend "Well.." Nessie started. "Jacob found out last night that his wife was cheating on him." She paused for a second before continuing "So I guess there isn't going to be a surrogacy anymore.."

"Really?!" Alice said, shock invading her tone.

"Yup." Nessie replied, popping the P louder than normal.

"And are you happy or sad about that? I mean, you won't get paid now, right?"

"It's not even about the money, Alice." Nessie said sternly as she looked over at Alice. "I just felt like for once I would be helpful to someone. Y'know?" Nessie sighed, offering a small smile over at Alice.

"Awe, Ness.." Alice reached a hand out to softly rub Nessie's arm to comfort her. "You've always been helpful, you know that."

"I guess.." Nessie shrugged again "I'm seeing Jacob later today"

"So you will have plenty to talk about then!" Alice chirped, hopping off the kitchen stool.

"Yeah, I suppose so." Nessie replied, looking over at Alice curiously.

"Well, I hate to leave so abruptly but I've got work, text me later, Ness!" Alice called as she grabbed her belongings off the table, making her way to the front door.

"I will! See you later!" Nessie shouted back before she heard the front door shut behind Alice.

Nessie checked the time on the clock situated on the kitchen wall; 12:11pm. Proceeding to make her way into her room and to pick out some clothes to wear, a warm beige jumper and some white jeans accompanied by some white trainers to match.

It was a bit early to be getting ready but Nessie thought she might as well try and make an effort with her appearance sometime and with that thought she made her way into the bathroom, turning on the shower; stripping out of her pyjamas as she waited for the water to warm up.

Jacob had spent his morning talking with his lawyer about the divorce, he was told it could take a few weeks to finalise it all, but he didn't care too much, as long as it was done in the end. Irina had tried calling him a few times in the morning to which he just ignored, he didn't want to hear her excuses, she was pretty much dead to him now.

But other than lingering thoughts about the divorce in his head he couldn't help but think of Nessie, he was going to ask her on a date, a real date, not just coffee somewhere like they had done before but the whole 9 yards; dinner, movie or whatever she wanted. He just hoped Nessie agreed to it.

It was almost half past one and Jacob had just finished his paperwork reports for the garage's weekly stock list, he had told Nessie he would pick her up for 2pm so he grabbed his car keys and a jacket on his way out, since he had only dressed in a black tight fitting t-shirt and jeans this morning, before leaving his house.

It wasn't long before Jacob had reached Nessie's apartment, parking just outside, before making his way up the never ending stairs to her door. He only knocked twice before Nessie answered and Jacob was lost for words as he took in her appearance, she looked breathtaking, dressed in a jumper and jeans, her hair had been left down in her natural loose curls and she had put a little bit of make up on this time he noted, yet Jacob could swear she resembled some kind of supermodel and he just wanted to wrap her up in his arms and keep her all to himself. Jacob must of been staring for too long because Nessie eventually cleared her throat.

"Jacob, you're kinda staring too much.." Nessie spoke sheepishly, looking away from Jacob's smouldering gaze.

Jacob could see a bright pink blush appear on her cheeks and he chuckled lightly before replying, smiling as he did "Sorry, I didn't mean too. You just look beautiful, Nessie."

Nessie met Jacob's gaze, her eyes widening at his compliment before turning an even darker shade of pink. "Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself." Nessie giggled softly "Did you want to come in for a minute while I put my shoes on?" She asked, still blushing.

"Sure, sure." Jacob grinned, loving the affect he was having on Nessie, she was adorable, all giggles and blushing deeply.

Jacob followed Nessie as she made her way into her living room and he looked around curiously, noticing tons of pictures framed on the walls, he knew Nessie shared her apartment but most of the pictures were of her, he noticed a couple in particular, one was of Nessie and what he assumed was her parents and brother when she was younger and another of Nessie and some exotic looking guy hugging each other closely, caught in an intimate moment and something about that picture made Jacob feel a pang of jealously.

Nessie must of noticed him looking at the photo intently after she had put her shoes on because she came up beside him "That's my ex, in case you're wondering. I just haven't bothered to take the picture down.." She said softly, a small smile playing at the corner of her full lips.

Jacob looked down over at her, smiling "I figured, but you don't have to explain yourself, Ness."

"I know, but I wanted to.." Nessie smiled up at him.

Jacob just nodded before replying, changing the subject completely "So.. What did you want to do? We could go out for dinner or have take out at mine? You can choose. It's my treat." Jacob flashed his signature smile at her.

"Hmm.." Nessie paused, pondering for a moment before continuing "take out at yours sounds great."

"Take out it is, then." Jacob chuckled, gesturing towards the front door. "Should we go now or?"

"Yes, let's go!" Nessie chirped, smiling as she made her way to the front door, grabbing her bag and keys as she did, Jacob following closely behind her. Once Nessie had locked up her apartment, they made there way to Jacob's car.

Jacob and Nessie made casual conversations during the car ride back to his and he was thankful Nessie didn't ask about what had happened after he dropped her off last night, he would tell her eventually, but he just wanted to focus on Nessie and not the divorce for now.

Once they arrived at Jacob's home they were quick to order pizza from the local take out and Nessie picked a movie from Jacob's DVD collection; Blood and chocolate. Jacob didn't think werewolf movies were Nessie's thing, but apparently they were.

It wasn't long before the pizza arrived and they both sat down on Jacob's living room couch to watch the movie, they both laughed and talked during the movie, enjoying each others company and though Jacob wasn't sure how, they had both moved closer to each other on the couch and now Nessie's head was resting comfortably on his shoulder, his arm wrapped around her.

Jacob lost focus on the movie all together at some point half way through, gazing down at Nessie as she watched, oblivious to his stare, Jacob was noticing all the things he hadn't noticed before, like how long her eye lashes were that every time she blinked they would brush her skin and how cute her button nose was, scrunching up slightly when she smiled of laughed, even how plump her lips looked and Jacob couldn't help but wonder what they would taste like.

The movie had finished but Jacob hadn't noticed until Nessie moved to look up at him, meeting his gaze instantly, as she bit her bottom lip nervously under his stare and Jacob couldn't help but be turned on by it.

"Jacob.. The movie finished." Nessie spoke hesitantly.

"Can I kiss you, Nessie?" The words just spewing out from Jacob's mouth, there was no going back now.

Nessie didn't say anything straight away, her expression one of shock at first before she smiled, nodding her approval, and that was all Jacob needed before he leaned, cupping her right cheek gently as he pressed his lips against hers.

It was soft and slow at first, before it quickly turned heated and Nessie seemed to enjoy it just as much, as she moved to straddle his hips, pushing his back against the sofa as she leaned over him to kiss him, their tongues intertwining passionately. Jacob gripped Nessie's hips, groaning into her mouth as she rocked into his growing erection. Jacob knew he should probably slow it down though he didn't want to, but he didn't want to rush Nessie into anything.

Pulling slowly back from their passionate lip lock, Jacob was breathless as so was Nessie and Jacob couldn't help but smile as he took in Nessie's flushed rosy cheeks.

Nessie stared back at Jacob, catching her breath for a minute before giggling softly as she took in Jacob's appearance, his hair was out of place from its usual tidy state and she could only imagine what she looked like; a hot mess no doubt.

Jacob moved to sit up, Nessie still straddling him as he did, grinning "That was amazing, as cheesy as it sounds, it was." He chuckled.

Nessie laughed back "Cheesy, yes, but I agree."

Jacob grinned at Nessie's reply, now all he had to do was ask her out on a date. "Nessie, can I ask you something?"

Nessie's smile didn't falter as she replied "Sure, you can ask me anything Jacob."

"Will you go out on a date with me? If you don't want to its fine, I just-" Nessie didn't even let Jacob finish his spluttering words before she replied "Yes, Jake! I'd love to go on a date with you, silly!" Nessie beamed her brightest smile at him, she couldn't contain her excitement from his question.

Jacob grinned happily, chuckling at Nessie's outburst, before he leaned back in to kiss her, catching her slightly off guard in her excited but happy state of mind.

This was the start of something new.
