A/N: Enjoy! :) And if you haven't already check out my new J/N fanfic "Tainted Love".

I miss the sound of your voice, Loudest thing in my head

And I ache to remember, All the violent, sweet perfect words that you said

If I could walk on water, If I could tell you what's next

I'd make you believe, I'd make you forget

So come on, get higher, loosen my lips

Faith and desire and the swing of your hips

Just pull me down hard and drown me in love

matt nathanson - come on get higher

It had been almost a week since Nessie had spoken to Jacob, she hadn't gone to work or art class either, but rather stayed home, wallowing in her sadness and new found sickness, Nessie didn't know what it was but she hoped her stomach bug would take a hike and leave.

Alice had comforted Nessie after she had told her what had happened or should she say witnessed, and had made it her duty to stock up the house with ice cream.

Nessie had been digging into her second tub of ice cream that evening when her phone vibrated next to her, and just like she thought, it was another text from Jacob.

Nessie knew she was being cold by ignoring Jacob like this, but she just didn't know if she could face him yet, or even talk to him. He had sent her dozen of texts, left plenty of voicemails and even arrived un-invited to the apartment, only to have Alice shoo him away.

As Nessie read Jacob's text she had an internal battle with herself, whether she should reply or not. The text had said to let him explain, though she didn't know if she wanted him too, but after a few moments she decided to text back, letting him know that he could explain, but only through text as she wasn't ready to talk to him yet, mostly because she knew she would break down and cry, she had been feeling extremely emotional lately.

It was after she sent the text that Alice walked through the door, letting her presence known by calling out to Nessie.

"Honey, I'm home!" Alice joked as she made her way to the living room to find Nessie sat in her PJ's, an empty tub of ice cream next to her on the couch as she watched 'Pretty Little Liars' on Netflix.

"Hey, Al." Nessie smiled, Alice always knew how to put a smile on her face.

"How are you feeling?" Alice asked, concern lacing her voice.

"I've been better." Nessie admitted with a slight shrug.

"Right… about that." Alice paused, reaching into her handbag to grab something.

"About what?" Nessie asked, confused as she watch Alice dig through her bag.

"Ah-hah!" Alice chirped, before shoving the small rectangular box into Nessie's hand.

Nessie looked down at her hands and sure enough it was a ClearBlue pregnancy test.

"Al, c'mon…" Nessie looked towards Alice, her brows knitting together. "It's not possible."

"It's possible, Ness. The pill isn't always the best and with the symptoms you're having…" Alice trailed off.

"I – I don't know what to say." Nessie muttered, and honestly she didn't and thoughts of the possibility she might be pregnant ran through her mind.

"Say nothing and take the test." Alice instructed, urging Nessie off the couch and into the bathroom.

Nessie sat on her bed as she waited for the results of the test, her leg bouncing up and down with nerves. How would she even tell Jacob? They weren't exactly on speaking terms right now…

Her phone timer buzzed, alerting her that the test would be done and Nessie slowly got up from her bed to inspect the test that was carefully placed on her dressing table. And there it was, written as clear as day; Pregnant.

Nessie's breath caught in her throat as she picked up the test and read it again, she had to be at least 4 weeks pregnant, which meant the first time she and Jacob had been intimate was the day he put a bun in her oven, literally.

Nessie walked slowly into the living room where Alice sat, watching the remainder of her Pretty Little Liar's episode, with the test in her hand.

Alice turned to face Nessie when she heard her walk into the room, raising her eyebrows as she waited for Nessie to speak as she struggled for words.

"So…?" Alice drawled out.

"I'm – I'm pregnant." Nessie murmured.

"Ahhh! I knew it!" Alice squealed. "I'm psychic, I'm telling ya'."

"At least someone is taking this well…"

Alice moved to put her arm around Nessie, leading her to sit down on the couch next to her. "I'm sorry, I'm just excited! You know I love babies, Ness."

"I know, Al." Nessie sighed.

"Are you going to keep it?" Alice asked.

"Yes, of course." Nessie replied and Alice beamed.

"You need to tell Jake, Ness."

Nessie nodded. "I know and I will, first thing tomorrow."

As Nessie sat in her kitchen the next morning, her finger hovered over the dial button to call Jacob. Just do it. She thought.

After plucking up the courage she hastily pressed the 'call' button and listened as it rang, it didn't take long for Jacob to pick up, his tone of voice full of relief that she had called him back after his text last night, though she didn't reply after he attempted to explain things via text.

"Nessie..." He said. "I'm so glad you called."

"Yeah." Nessie breathed out, sighing. "We need to talk."

"You're right." Jacob agreed, before hastily carrying on. "What you saw with Irina and I, it wasn't what it looked like –"

"Jacob –" Nessie tried to interrupt, but Jacob stopped her.

"No let me explain." Jacob pleaded, and when Nessie didn't reply he continued.

"What you saw, it wasn't what it looked like, Irina had come by the garage, begging for me back and I told her no, that I didn't love her, I loved you, Nessie…" Jacob stressed. "And when she heard you outside the office, that was when she kissed me, I swear I didn't kiss her back, Nessie. Please believe me."

Nessie sighed softly on the other end of the phone at Jacob's pleading, before she replied. "I believe you, I just needed some time.."

"I know and I won't let her get in between us again." Jacob declared.

"Can we meet?" Nessie asked, changing the subject.

And Jacob was quick to say yes, saying he could be at her apartment within the next 20 minutes before they hung up the phone call.

Nessie waited for Jacob to arrive at her apartment, Alice was at work so she had no one to comfort her in her time of need, as she paced back and forth in her living room.

Jacob's knock at her front door broke her from her train of thoughts as she made her way to answer it.

Once face to face, Jacob and Nessie were silent as they stared at each other, Jacob looked… rough, he clearly hadn't been sleeping well and Nessie felt her guilt for ignoring Jacob all week creep up on her.

"I'm sorry…" Nessie croaked, as tears pricked at her eyes and Jacob rushed forward to embrace her, burying his face into her sweet smelling hair as they both wrapped their arms around each other in a tight embrace.

"Sssh, it's okay." Jacob tried to console Nessie, but it didn't do much to stop her from sniffling. "There isn't anything to be sorry for."

Nessie leant back slightly, so she could look into Jacob's chocolate colored orbs that she had missed so much. "I need to tell you something." Nessie murmured.

"What is it?" Jacob asked, his brows furrowing slightly.

"I think you should sit down for this." Nessie admitted, pulling out of their embrace she pulled Jacob to the living room to sit next to her on the couch.

"I – I –" Nessie stammered.

"Ness?" Jacob asked, confused as he watched Nessie struggle to form words as he sat facing towards her.

"I'm pregnant." Nessie finally blurted out, watching as Jacob's jaw slackened in shock, before his mouth formed a bright grin.

"I'm gonna be a dad?!" Jacob beamed and Nessie nodded, smiling back at Jacob as tears of happiness formed in the corners of her eyes.

Jacob brought his lips to Nessie's passionately, his arms gently wrapping around her as he pulled her into his lap, breaking away from the kiss slightly he whispered. "I love you, Nessie."

"I love you too, daddy." Nessie spoke softly and Jacob couldn't help but grin before placing his lips upon Nessie's again. He was going to be a dad and he couldn't wait.
