I let myself into the Forbes' house without knocking. It's not like Liz would be there to reprimand me anyway. 'Dirty' by Christina Aguilera was blasting from Caroline's room, the loudness of it rattling the picture frames on the walls. I laughed to myself as I climbed the stairs, pausing briefly to admire a photo of myself and Caroline from kindergarten, complete with overalls and pigtails.

"Hey, sweet cheeks." I had to yell to be heard over the music. Caroline, clad in only her bra and pair of tight jeans, paused the swaying of her hips only to hold up two different tops, clearly asking for my opinion. I pondered for a moment, finger on my chin as I looked between to two. Finally, I pointed to the baby pink blouse with flowy sleeves and a plunging neckline. It would make the blue of her eyes pop and would go perfectly with her pale skin.

"Thanks!" I waved her off, setting my backpack on her bed as she slipped the shirt carefully over her head being mindful of her delicately styled curls. I was already dressed for tonight in a pair of black high-waisted skinny jeans and a cropped, cream sweater. It was casual yet sexy, showing off the slightest sliver of skin on my stomach. I just had to do my makeup and figure out what to do with my wild curls.

I sat down at Caroline's vanity, pulling my makeup bag from my backpack and rifling through it. I didn't want to wear too much - it wasn't really needed. All Bennetts seemed to be blessed with relatively blemish free skin and a natural radiance. I didn't want to cover that us. I applied a little concealer to the dark circles under my eyes and on the one annoying pimple on my chin.

'Party in the USA' by Miley Cyrus came on as I was sweeping a bronze shimmery eyeshadow over my eyelids that brought out the green in my hazel eyes. Caroline started to sing obnoxiously yet perfectly in tune, dancing like a mad woman around her room.

I smiled to myself as I coated my lashes in a layer of mascara before applying a rosey coloured lipstick to the centre of my lips and then blending it out with my finger. Lastly, I brushed a light layer of gold highlighter on to my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and cupid's now. Perfect. I dusted off any powder that had gotten on my outfit and stood, dancing my way over to Caroline and sweeping her into my arms.

It wasn't really the type of party that had music. People came to drink and catch up with their friends, maybe even sneak into the woods for a little drunken hook up. Still, that didn't stop me and Caroline from performing a rather spectacular salsa to an adoring crowd. We finished with a flourish, Caroline dipped down in my arms with her leg high in the air. Riotous applause, wild cheering...well, there would have been if anyone was actually paying attention.

I may have been a little drunk and misinterpreted the crowd, who were actually watching an already hammered senior attempt a keg stand. Whatever. We were still damn good dancers.

Caroline went off to grab us more drinks so I was left to my own devices, bopping away to a tune in my head. I could see Elena and Bonnie by the bonfire and wondered if Bonnie had gotten the vision about Damon and his crow yet. Jeremy was slumped against the bed of a truck, swigging from a bottle of beer in his hand. I waved, smiling goofily when he caught me looking. I could see him roll his eyes but he smiled nonetheless.

Tyler and Vicki weren't being very discreet as the slunk deeper into the treeline, his hand was already down her pants. Would Jeremy still intervene and stop Tyler from assaulting Vicki, even if he wasn't romantically interested in her? I shrugged the thought off and accepted the red solo cup full of mystery alcohol Caroline returned with.

I clinked my cup against hers, chugging it before I could second guess myself. "Blegh!" I spluttered, squeezing my eyes shut and shaking my head. "That's rank. What even was that?"

Caroline shrugged, tossing hers back with a grimace. "Dunno. I just grabbed whatever I saw first." I grabbed her cup and slipped it into mine, tossing it into one of the trash bags scattered around. We may be drinking underage, but we weren't about to litter. "I saw Stefan with Elena again. They looked pretty cosy." I was happy to note that she didn't sound as jealous as I thought she would, merely conversational.

"Oh yeah, it's the start of an epic, tragic love story. We get front row seats." I nodded sagely, wrapping my arm around her waist. She threw her arm around my shoulder and rested her cheek against my curls.

"Nice. Maybe we should turn it into a book? Reckon it'll be a best seller?"

"No doubt."

"Help! Help! Somebody help!" A loud cry put a stop to the joking mood. Elena and Jeremy stumbling into the clearing, an unconscious Vicki in his arms.

Matt and Tyler rushed over in a panic. "Vicki? Vicki! What the hell?" Matt helped Jeremy lay her prone form on top of a picnic table.

"What happened to her?" Tyler asked, genuinely sounding worried. Suppose he wasn't a heartless dick after all.

"Somebody, call an ambulance!" There was a frantic scramble for cellphones, nearly everyone fumbling to call 911. I pulled a shocked Caroline closer to me, holding her protectively just in case Damon decided to go wild and jump out of the trees and slaughter us all.

It was a bit of a blur after that. The ambulance arrive in a matter of minutes, the paramedics loading Vicki into the back along with a worried Matt. The Police arrived a moment later. Nobody even bothered to hide the fact that every teenager in Mystic Falls had been getting off their face just minutes prior.

Bonnie ushered Caroline and I to her car, her being appointed designated driver. "Let's go get some coffee. Sober you both up. Is Care staying with us tonight?" She asked me. I nodded, helping Caroline into the back seat, laughing quietly as she fell asleep almost immediately against the window.

"Just take us straight home. I bought coffee especially for this."
