TWO5 Outline Part 5: The Assassination Part 2
It's been a while since I had managed to get this in. Hoping this finish these quick. Sooo...where was I?
~~~0~~~
Main Plot: The Siege on the Capitol by the Rebellion persists. The 2 remaining assassination groups carry on.
Assassin Team 1: Eugene, Hiccup, Baymax and Jack
The four of navigate the streets of the Capitol, successfully avoiding most patrols. They go through the Undergrounds to try to rescue Toothless and Kristoff, but while they are there, they set off a booby trap. To save the others, Eugene sacrifices himself so that the rest can escape (so yep he dies like Finnick Odair), and it is super, super sad.
Baymax go into low-power mode and Jack Frost is on the verge of a mental break down. Hiccup is the only sane one left, and gets motivated to carry on by thinking of those waiting for him to come back (Astrid, Stoick, Valka). Our boy never gives us.
Hiccup comes across Pitch Black in the Undergrounds in the ground while dragging along a distraught Jack Frost and a deflated Baymax. Pitch allows him to fix Baymax and offers him the location of Kristoff and Toothless. In return however Hiccup must leave Jack Frost in his care. Hiccup hesitates, having a soft heart, so Jack Frost offers to stay and even chases Hiccup out.
Hiccup then leaves to free Kristoff and Toothless. Together, three of them decide to go back and find Jack. By the time they return, of course, Pitch and Jack are gone. The Undergrounds start falling apart for some reason, so they decide to flee back to District 13.
Subplot 1: Jack Alone
After Hiccup left to save Toothless, face to face with his torturer once again, Jack attempts to kill Pitch once more. But Pitch says the word, 'Eternity' and Jack feels a sharp constriction on his chest, before blanking out.
He falls back into his dream world of being stuck on a frozen lake in the palace of the Evil Snow Queen, with the pile of dust-like glass pieces still next to him. Apparently, he's attempting to put the glass pieces to spell out the word 'Eternity', because the Snow Queen promised him freedom if he could achieve this. But dream Jack is very cold and feels like he's probably gonna die before he finishes. The black marks over his chest spread even further.
In the real world, Jack's body is obeying Pitch's commands to freeze everything in the Undergrounds, destroying decades of research and killing all the researchers. When it comes to the place where all them muttations are, Pitch sets them free, as he considers the muttations more his kin that other humans (given that he's a mutant).
Main Plot
Assassin Team 2: Elsa, Hiro, Olaf and Emma.
The four of them hear from a broadcast that due to the siege, the Capitol Palace doors would be opening up the Capitol citizens to take refuge in, given that the siege by the Rebellion is getting worse. Elsa and Hiro decide to disguise themselves and try to get in, while Olaf and Emma hide out in the store. Emma doesn't want to, firmly believing that Jack is the Capitol Palace. No one really listens to her, coz she a kid though.
~~~0~~~
Assassination Team 2: Hiro & Elsa
Hiro and Elsa disguise themselves as Capitol citizens and try to blend in the crowd that the Peacekeepers are allowing to enter the Capitol Palaces. However, the Peacekeepers are checking faces too, which makes it a bit hard since both their faces are well known. In the crowd, Elsa spots Emma sneaking in, and when she tries to stop her, Hiro gets caught and dragged off by a Peacekeeper. In her own panic, Elsa ice powers start leaking out (her suit to control it kinda fried) which causes a lot of people to run away in fear. She debates with herself about whether to power into the Capitol or make a run, she picks the latter, deciding that she doesn't want to hurt anyone anymore. She flees to an empty building and tries to calm down.
~~~0~~~
Back in District 13, Valka overhears a set of orders from President Bludvist that's she's not supposed to hear. She captured before she can say anything.
~~~0~~~
Subplot 1: Jack Alone
Pitch and Jack enter the Capitol Palace, with Jack trailing emotionless after Pitch. When the Peacekeepers try to stop them, Jack just freezes them.
Pitch's plan apparently was to enter President Lotso's office to do 'something', but what it is is unclear. However, they are stopped by Emma, who demands for Pitch to give Jack back. When Pitch tries to attack her with his black sand, Emma fights him hard with the desperation and courage that no little girl has every shown before. She sends him with fleeing with the telekinetically controlled toys.
Jack is kinda catatonic still, being stuck a trance. Under advice from the Tooth Fairy figure that Emma sees, Emma enters Jack's mind telepathically. She joins him dream state of him being stuck in the Ice Palace and she hugs him. He's unresponsive to her at first, being mostly frozen. Emma weeps, hugs him and kisses him on the forehead.
True love's kiss unfreezes his frozen heart and the two Overland siblings reunite joyfully, with Jack regaining back all his memories. Still in the dream world, Emma uses her telekinesis to finish up Jack's work, which is form the word 'eternity' from glass pieces of ice.
Once she's done, Jack and Emma both wake up in the real world, only to hear a thunderous explosion outside the Capitol Palace.
~~~0~~~
Assassination Team 2: Elsa
She later witness a bomb going off at the Capitol gates while the Rebel forces arrive, followed by Rebel First Aid team — including Anna.
Of course, while the First Aid team tends to the wounded from the bomb, another explosion goes off, killing almost everyone at the gate. Elsa goes down to search the bodies, and Anna is one of those that aren't moving. While she hugs Anna's body and cries, the Capitol announces its surrender.
The War Ends
~~~0~~~
Main Plot: With the war now over, the Rebellion moves into the Capitol. President Lotso is capture alive and set for an execution date. Everyone is dealing with consequences.
Elsa is unconsolable from Anna's death, and Kristoff takes it pretty badly too.
Hiro survives his capture returns to the Capitol relatively safe and sound.
Emma and Jack Frost are doing much better, recovering in the infirmary. Jack's hair has gone back to white and as far as anyone knows he's lost his ice powers. No one knows about Emma's powers, and Jack tells her to hide it for now.
Hiccup returns to the Capitol in a much more crazy state. Apparently, he learns that Stoick was executed for attempting to betray the Rebellion and Valka was arrested for trying to help him. Hiccup doesn't believe it, but gets arrested and thrown in with Valka when he tries to confront Bludvist. Bludvist demands the 'Alpha Matrix' (a code that allows a person to control all the dragons) from Hiccup, but since Bludvist doesn't know how to use it, Bludvist threatens to kill Hiccup if Valka doesn't comply. Valka is taken away, while Hiccup is left in his cell.
Just a few days later, Elinor, who goes to the Capitol with the other Rebellion leaders, gets caught in a booby trap. Thankfully, she survives but is injured and thus returned to District 13. Elinor is conscious enough however to warn Merida that what occured to her is likely premeditated, and that President Drago Bludvist was likely to be attempting to consolidate now that the War is over, and is taking away his potential rivals (e.g. Stoick and Elinor).
Merida tries to get support from the others. Ralph doesn't believe her, and they fight about allegiances, and eventually part ways. She tries to contact Hiro, but he's too busy to listen to her, as he has new projects now that the Capitol is gone. She tells this to the grieving Elsa, who's kinda given up on people and is thinking about running away and never meeting people again. With Hiccup being in jail and Merida being unable to talk to him, she's frustrated and sorta alone.
Merida ends up being invited to a face to face meeting with President Lotso, and they talk about how they both know President Bludvist would only be another cruel tyrant. Lotso suggests to Merida if she wants to get Elsa to help, she should tell Elsa that President Bludvist was responsible for the bombs that killed Anna, which is apparently what had happened.
Merida does tell this to Elsa. Both of them scheme, and eventually Elsa has a chance to request to execute Lotso. Instead of Lotso however, she freezes President Bludvist's heart, and uses her ice powers to escape arrest. Lotso eventually gets killed by the rioting citizens.

So EPILOGUE:
About 3 years down the road, everything has kinda of settled. Elinor had survived Bludvist's attempt on her life and eventually becomes the new President of the Free Panem. Her family is fine.
Merida is learning about governance and politics, no doubt being groomed to be the next leader. She currently works in as a staff in the Capitol body which allows her visit the various districts often. The epilogue would have been told via her visiting different districts, and different characters.
The first place she stops by is District 2. She often comes here to meet up with Hiccup and Astrid, whom she's pretty good friends with by now. Hiccup and Astrid are still dating, probably gonna be engaged soon. Hiccup and Valka are teaching people to get along with dragons and trying to create a synergistic environment where humans and dragons (and other muttations) can live in peace together.
The next is District 3. Hiro has started up a technology university with his friends and they come up with new tech to share with the rest of Panem. He grieve over those he had lost (Tadashi, Honey Lemon), but Baymax is always there to hug it out with him.
The next place Merida goes is to District 8. Rapunzel is still studying to become a full fledged doctor, and has a young child by Eugene, who is adored by Rapunzel's parents. Rapunzel misses Eugene a lot.
Merida then goes to District 11, where she does some work. She is reminded of Ralph, who she has never met again since their fight. She hopes one day they can meet on better terms.
The last person she meets up with is District 10, where the Overland siblings still live together. While they've been keeping the farm for sometime, they've been planning to leave the borders of the District 10. Emma's power are still secret from everyone (except Merida) and Jack himself apparently retained some kind of telekinesis, and a bit of his old ice powers seem to be coming back.
Anyway, Elsa disappeared after the assassination, having hidden herself somewhere outside of the District in Panem, but apparently retained contact with the Overlands — which is known to Merida. Apparently, the Overlands had decided to move to where she is to stay with her. Something like the two of them want to be able to explore their powers without it being twisted for political gain. Also, there's some hinted Jelsa there, with Jack denying there's anything like that happening and Emma basically going 'He lies' through it all.
Merida gets a letter from Elsa through the siblings. She has largely healed from Anna's passing and is apparently living on some kind of mountain with great views. She mentions that she had encounter Pitch Black during her exile, and that they had extended conversations about whether mutants should or should not rule Panem, and Elsa's stance is that if just people like Merida and her mother continued to rule, that's more important. (Something like that. I dunno. I'm writing this at 2 in the morning.)
Oh, yeah. Assume Kristoff is still living in District 12, and has moved on basically.
While Merida is on the way home, she gets a flash of PTSD about the Hunger Games and take a long drink of water while staring at her morphling scars. She's no longer an addict, but admits that it still tempts her at times. When she returns home to her family and hugs her brothers, she contemplates on how hard-earned this peace was, and yet the war and the Hunger games still continues to pervade all of their lives. Still, she tries to be content, and not dread whatever it might be that might come and rob them of this again.
The End.
~~~0~~~
So this is the stuff I would have liked to write for this story. I guess I wish I was a more productive writer and managed to get this down during the time that I was still interested in writing story for this fandom. So, I apologise for that, but I hope that you guys could use your imagine to tie up the loose ends.
Some story notes I wanna talk about are as follows:
1)Emma, Jack and the Snow Queen
So, yes, the person who would cure Jack's Frozen heart was always going to be Emma. And Emma's journey is very much supposed to parallel to the Snow Queen story by Hans Christian Anderson, with Jack being like Kai in the story who gets a frozen heart from the ice queen before going missing, and Emma is like Greta who goes on a journey to find him. If you're interested, these are the parallels:
-Emma talks to the Snowman and falls into the lake - Greta talking to the river and the river offering to carry her to Kai
-Mrs. Overland uprooting the rose bush from her garden and throwing it away, hoping Emma would forget Jack - The witch getting rid of the rose bush so that Greta would forget Kai
-Emma talking to her toy metal bird - Greta talking to a robin/sparrow that she rescued
-Emma encountering and interacting with President's Lotso granddaughter, Bonnie - Greta encountering a princess
-Emma getting captured and thrown into the Undergrounds by Pitch - Greta getting kidnapped by a band of robbers
-Emma escaping with Olaf and Elsa and Hiro - Greta escaping the thieves with the help of a reindeer.
-The whole thing about spelling out the word 'eternity' is also from the Snow Queen story.
So yeah. I guess this story was never gonna be overtly Jelsa (just sorta hinted) and Emma was always gonna be the hero here.
2)The Dumb Pitch Black/ Robert Callaghan
So at some point, I was going to make Pitch Black and Robert Callaghan the same person. Yeah, it's kinda dumb, but my idea came when I realised they were both two old guys with traumas relating to their daughters and they controlled these black sediment things that allowed them to make shapes and weapons and etc.
So Robert Callaghan was supposed to be Pitch Black's previous identity, until he was thrown into the Capitol Undergrounds and tortured for years by Iron Argonite (i.e. FeAr), before being forgotten. And in that time rotting, his mutant powers would have kicked in so he escapes, but his body and face kinda changed from all the torture.
So he takes on a new identity to try to get revenge on the person who ordered his torture — President Lotso. Except, that by being Pitch Black, his daughter would end up being Abigail Overland. So Pitch would have been so caught up in his revenge plans to destroy Panem and let mutants rule, that he killed his own daughter, tortured his own grandson and left his granddaughter all alone.
The realisation would destroyed him and he would give up his world domination plans.
But yeah, a year after I got this idea, I realised it was sorta dumb, so now that idea is dead.
Yep, so that's the end of the outline for The Wrath of Five.
If you'd like to follow on any other works I'm currently doing (including my original work of Immortal Haemovore which I'm probably gonna re-write soon), or just read my reviews of the webtoons I've been binging, or get retweets of literature memes by me, my twitter is 'KohenShar'.
So long folks, and thanks for being here.
