Lakeland: The Thirsting Shore

Thancred knew that they had a good day or two before Ran'jit and whatever soldiers he brought with him would be on their tail. He was grateful as well that Minfillia was taking her lessons on combat seriously, to the point where he was confident she would be able to fight if needed. Resting against one of the few trees and facing out from the Thirstless he sighed. It felt longer than it had been since he had simply sat down and rested for a minute. Ever since he and the majority of the scions had been drawn into the First.

In the five years he had been traversing what was left of the first he had come to the realization that they needed their Warrior of Light more than ever. Though they would have to keep his status quiet until they could come up with a reason another Warrior of Light was showing up now, considering the infamy that the last generation of heroes with that title had , most believed, to be the cause of the worlds current state.

And what a state it was. Thancred had never thought he would miss the night sky so much, even if he had gotten used to the perpetual light of the First over the years. That fact that people had made do without the night was frustrating even now. Luckily he had managed to procure a rather nice tent from the Kholusia vaults when he had retrieved Minfilia and had made good use of it for both of them.

"Thancred! What is that?!" Minfilia's voice rang out, clearly confused. Looking up he saw he pointing the sky and following it became just as confused. High above them but still over the water was a person, or at least that was what he could tell, falling while being covered in orange aether.

"Thancred, what do we do?" Minfilia asked, obvious worry in her voice for the falling stranger.

"Don't worry about it. We'll just need to fish him out of the water once he lands."

A scandalized Minfilia gasped as the stranger met water, creating a decent splash all things considering. Not wasting time Thancred dove in and several minutes later surfaced with the stranger in question. After making sure he hadn't drowned (with some forceful pats on the back) Thancred got a good look at the Stanger.

Clad in what looked to be the remains of an orange jacket and pants combo that he had no idea could have come from he noticed several things that immediately told him that this wasn't just an unfortunate civilian but more like a unfortunate soldier. The mesh shirt, more than likely made from some combination of metal and threading wouldn't necessarily stop and axe or sword going through, but was more like the gear most rouges or ninjas would wear under their main armor. HE was leaning more towards the young man being a ninja as he rifled through the pouch at his side and came across the standard weapons that most regular ninja used. Shuriken, kunai, some very high-quality ninja wire that he had to resist taking, and several scrolls that were similar to some he had seen from Kugane.

"Are those whiskers?" Minfilia muttered, poking the stranger in the cheek "They are!"

Before Thancred could stop her she began rubbing the whiskers, eliciting a purr from the man in question. Taking his attention from the gear to take in his physical traits he had to admit he was young. Possibly closer to the twins age than Ryne or somewhere in-between. Blonde hair that was several shades darker than Minfilia's own. The young man's face was somewhat rounder than he would expect, making the guess of his age closer to what he already expected. The young man's musculature that he could see lent itself more towards speed than raw brawn. By now he was confident that the young man was a rouge or beginning the path to be a ninja. He wished that he had taken more time to discuss with Yuguri over the current ninjas.

"What are we going to do with you stranger?" Thancred muttered as Minfilia giggled as she continued to make the young man purr.

Ratika Greatwood: Slitherbough

Y'shtola rubbed her temples as she recalled the massive aether signature that had appeared near Lakeland. At first thinking that a Sin Eater had gained enormous power she was quickly proven wrong when the Aether was not light, or even dark. It was more life like? Her inner scholar was chomping at the bits to know what it was, but duty tempered that as she sighed and made to do todays work.

Il Mheg

Urianger could feel it. Something from neither the First or the Source had arrived. He only hoped that it would not be an enemy, and if what he read form the heavens what right, it might just be as great a ally as their Warrior of Light.

?

"My, my. If it isn't my fellow Ascian. To what do I owe the honor Elidibus?"

Elidibus withheld a groan as he regarded his brother Ascian. Though their end goal remained the same, each of his brothers and sisters had decided to go about it in different ways. With the recent permanent deaths of several of Ascians it was important that they were on the same page. Which was why he was currently conversing with Emet-Selch.

"We have a problem." Eledibus stated plainly, getting a raised eyebrow from the Architect.

"Surely you don't mean the Warrior of Light and the Scions? They will be taken care of in time."

Elidibus shook his head and stood next to his fellow scion. Emet-Selch must have noticed something was off as he tuned and waited for an explanation. If the white Ascian truly felt vindictive he would have gladly enjoyed the face he made after his next sentence.

"It seems Hagoromo's descendant landed in the First."

"WHAT?" Ah, there it was.
