To whoever wrote the review on the last chapter, thank you for the response. I read your critique and ran to fix it. And also, unless my stories say completed on their description, it means that they are yet to be finished and that new chapters will keep on being added. Thank you again and I hope you enjoy this.

Chapter 2

"Ahh!" Hanzo screamed as he woke up. He saw a huge scar on his body. "What the hell..."

"It is unwise to move in your state."

Hanzo looked up to see a tall man in white clothes and with a bamboo hat.

"Who in the ten hells are you?"

"I am Raiden. God of thunder." the man said in the most boring and flat voice." And this is my protege Liu Kang."

Hanzo rubs his head in confusion. He looks at all the trees of the forest they were now in.

"What happened to me? He asked.

"We believe you fell off that cliff up there and fell here. We found you in horrible shape. You had blood all over you and a big hole in your stomach. And you had a lot of broken ribs." Liu Kang told him.

Hanzo starts thinking and remembers what had happened. He thinks of his clan and family, and how the Lin Kuei had murdered them without any remorse. Hanzo begins to tear up while calmly and quietly repeating his wife's and son's name.

"We heard of the fall of the Shirai Ryu. We are deeply sorry for your loss."

Hanzo clears his eyes and gets up.

"I haven't seen you around. How come you are here?"

" I have been training Liu Kang for the Mortal Kombat tournament. Unfortunately, he is not yet ready for this year's tournament. I have been searching for worthy candidates to represent the Earth realm. We came to seek you Hanzo."

"Earthrealm, Mortal Kombat Tournament... what in the name of the lord is that ?"Hanzo muttered

"The Mortal Kombat tournament is a fighting tournament held once a generation where the best fighters from different realms unite to choose the fate of the realms. There, Outworld needs 10 consecutive victories to have the right to invade Earthrealm. So far it has 8. As of the last tournament, the rules were changed to hosting the tournament once a year." Raiden said.

"That is a lot to take in," Hanzo replied.

"You can help us make sure that no person in Earthrealm gets to have a history like yours," Raiden added.

Hanzo started thinking.

"Hmm"- Sub Zero said elsewhere.

"Wasn't it the Shirai Ryu thing to join the tournament?" Sub Zero asked.

"It used to be Bi-Han, but didn't you hear? The Shirai Ryu is dead. They were eliminated. Their Grandmaster did some kind of deal to eliminate his clan." Sektor told him.

"Hasashi killed his clan? God... what kind of man kills his people? However, I am still not joining the tournament. I do not care about what this Outworld does. Let others participate." Bi-Han said coldly.

"Damn the others. Think of Kuai Liang. Don't you want your little brother to live in a safe and healthy world?" Sektor asked him.

Bi-Han thought to himself.

"I'll join !" both Hanzo and Bi-Han said to their invitations.
