During that time, Sora, Aqua, Terra, Isa, Myde, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Oswald, Ortensia, and Po followed Li across some grasslands through the mountains.
"I never knew China looked so beautiful." said Minnie as she took some pictures on her Gummiphone.
"I know right?" said Daisy.
"How come I never got a recon mission here?" asked Myde as he gazed at the sights.
"So you can just lie around the mountains until they tracked ya down?" Max asked with a smirk.
"Pretty much." replied the Melodious Nocturne.
"As Saïx, I wouldn't have let you." said Isa. "But you and Max do have a point. It does look like a nice spot to relax."
"You can say that again." said Po as he gazed around.
"And I thought the mountains in the Land of the Dragons were high." mused Terra, thinking back to his time as Lingering Will.
Sora then looked to Oswald and Ortensia.
"Hey, Oswald, Ortensia?" he asked.
"Hmm?" the rabbit and cat replied in unison.
"I was wondering." said Sora. "Ortensia, how did you end up becoming Oswald's successor by accident?"
Terra, Aqua, Myde, Isa, Minnie, Daisy, and Max looked interested as well.
Oswald blushed sheepishly, making Ortensia giggle.
"Oh, it's a funny story actually." Ortensia laughed.
Flashback, 6 days after "Kingdom Hearts: Rescue of the Wielders":
Oswald was doing some training in the castle gardens with his Classic Tone Keyblade. Ortensia came out into the garden. She wore a green skirt and hat with a daisy on the latter. (1)
"Hi Honey Bunny!" Ortensia called. "How's the training session going?"
"Going good, Ortensia." said Oswald as he casted a Blizzaga spell into the air. "Even as a master, I still gotta keep up with what I got so I don't forget."
"And that's what makes you a good husband, Ozzie." Ortensia cooed as she kissed Oswald's cheek, making the rabbit blush with a goofy grin. Ortensia giggled.
Just then, Gremlin Gus came into the garden.
"Oh, uh, Oswald!" he called.
"What's up Gus?" asked Oswald.
"Prescott's on the line." said Gus as he revealed he was holding a telephone. "He says he needs an update on the parts you ordered for that new celebration rocket he and the other gremlins are constructing.
Oswald gasped. "Oh jeez! Tell him I'll pick them up and we;ll get them delivered!"
Gus nodded as he went back inside to talk to Prescott. Oswald rushed back into the castle. But he started off so fast that he lost his grip on his Keyblade. Ortenisa saw this and quickly grabbed it as it fell. It didn't vanish back into Oswald's grasp.
"Oh Oswald!" Ortensia called.
Oswald skidded to a stop. "Yeah?" he asked.
Ortensia walked over and handed him his Classic TOne Keyblade.
"You forgot this." she said with a smirk.
Oswald chuckled. "Thanks Ortensia." he said as she took it back and dismissed it.
The two then ran back into the castle.
Present:
"After we helped Gus, Prescott, and the other gremlins, I realized that my Keyblade didn't dismiss from Ortensia's paws." said Oswald. "So we went to Yen Sid for some answers."
"And when he said that it was because I apparently had a heart worthy of a Keyblade, I learned how to summon it." said Ortensia. "Oswald taught me prior to the whole battle of the universe thing and you know the rest."
"Wow… just, wow." chuckled Terra.
"That's pretty interesting." mused Aqua.
"Yeah. Neat story though." said Sora.
Soon, they were walking across a wooden bridge. Sora and Co. were telling Po some more stories.
"So the spell wears off and I end up back to normal size." said Aqua. "To stall for more time so Jaq and Gus could free Cinderella, I volunteered myself to try on the slipper."
"That must've been scary." said Po.
"Not really." shrugged Aqua. "Luckily, I didn't have to as the mice freed her."
"Do you think you could've fit the slipper?" asked Minnie.
"Probably not." said Aqua. "She was older than me."
Later, they were walking up a hill.
"So for all the colleges he could've chosen to go back to for one semester, Dad had to choose mine." said Max. (2)
"Now that must've been rough." remarked Myde.
"But you did adjust to it, right?" asked Aqua.
"Yeah, I did." nodded Max.
Soon, the 12 were walking through the night as the moon shone a purple glow on a hillside.
"You really gave Chez Quackmore four stars?" Minnie asked in surprise.
"It was a nice restaurant, but the service could've been a little better." Daisy shrugged.
"Especially since your nieces were in disguise at the time?" Sora asked in amusement. (3)
Daisy giggled sheepishly.
"How come we haven't met them yet?" asked Terra.
"They're staying with my sister, helping her around the house whenever I'm busy at the castle." Daisy replied.
"I thought your sister died before you took them in?" Max asked in confusion.
"No, that was Donna, my older sister." said Daisy. "My youngest sister Delilah watches them when no one else can." (4)
"Makes sense." shrugged Isa.
Next, they were climbing up a mountain.
"Is this path really necessary?!" Myde called out to Li.
"It really is!" Li called back.
Soon, they were walking through a rocky terrain.
"At first I thought Fred was a blue monster with three eyes. But it turns out he was just another teenager in a suit." said Sora. "A cool one at that. That suit is packed."
"Sounds pretty cool." said Max.
"Is he a student at SFIT too?" asked Oswald.
"No." said Sora. "Out of that team, only Hiro, GoGo, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon are while Baymax is the healthcare companion. Though he is a science enthusiast."
Later, they were walking through a forest where the trees sprouted blue blossoms.
'They're so beautiful." Daisy said in awe. "Hey, they match both your hairs!" she said to Aqua and Isa. The Blue heads exchanged looks and chuckled.
"They also match Oswald's clothes." added Sora, making the lucky rabbit chuckle.
"Hey guys, can I ask something?" asked pO.
"Sure Po." said Terra.
"Ok, this might sound crazy, but… are Roxas and Ven twins?" Po asked. "Because they look exactly the same… aside from the clothes, Keyblades, and Ven has that thing on his shoulder..."
Sora, Terra, and Aqua chuckled in amusement.
"Actually, no they aren't." said Terra. "Ven was around longer than Sora and way longer than Roxas."
"Mickey mentioned to you what happened 12 years ago, right?" asked Aqua.
"About how you, Ven, and Terra disappearing?" asked Po.
Aqua nodded. "Because Xehanort extracted Vanitas, Ven's darkness, from his heart, the two were meant to clash in order to forge the χ-blade, Kingdom Hearts' Keyblade counterpart." she explained.
"But there was a fight in ven's heart with him as the victor." said Terra. "But even though he destroyed Vanitas and the χ-blade, Ven's heart was damaged. So it had to find someplace to stay in order to heal."
"While Aqua hid Ven's body, his heart found it's way to Destiny Islands where me and Riku lived." said Sora. "I allowed Ven's heart to stay inside mine to heal."
"That's so cool and scary!" said Po.
"And after the worlds were consumed by darkness thanks to Ansem, Xehanort's Heartless, Kairi had her heart stay within Sora's when Destiny Islands fell, as he told you during your second encounter." said Isa.
Po nodded. "Oh yeah, I remember that."
"I used Riku's dark Keybalde to extract Kairi's heart from my own, even if it meant killing myself." said Sora. "While it freed her heart and the ones belonging to the other 6 of the 7 Princesses of Heart, mine was released too."
"Oh yeah!" said Po. "And you were split into a Heartless and Nobody?"
"That's how it works when someone uses a Keyblade on your heart." said Myde.
"While my heart became a Heartless, my body and soul formed a Nobody until I was brought back to life with Kairi's light." said Sora.
"And that Nobody was Roxas, right?" asked Po.
Sora nodded.
"But Roxas was a unique Nobody." said Isa. "When me, Lea, and Myde were Saïx, Axel, and Demyx, we looked exactly like our selves as full humans."
"But it turns out, Ven's heart was still in my body when it became a Nobody." said Sora. "And that Nobody was Roxas, hence why he looks exactly like Ven."
Po was amazed. "WOW! That is such a cool story!"
Just then, Po's stomach rumbled.
"Oh, lunch break?" asked Li as theys stopped.
"You don't need to ask me twice." said Po as they stopped.
"We could eat." said Minnie.
Everyone stopped as Po slammed his food bag on the ground.
"Ow." came a muffled voice, much to everyone's confusion.
"Who said that?" asked Minnie.
"Are we being followed?" asked Myde, looking back.
But Po seemed to recognize the voice as he looked at his bag. "Dad?" he asked.
Li looked up from his meal. "Yes?" he asked.
"Dad…" Po groaned as he opened the bag.
And inside was a sheepish looking Mr. Ping.
"Yes?" he asked, smiling nervously.
"Mr. Ping?" Sora asked in surprise.
"Looks like we got ourselves a stowaway." said Max.
"Another bird too." added Myde.
Daisy gave the mullet-haired former Nobody an amused look.
"What are you doing here?" asked Po.
"What am I doing?" Mr. Ping asked as he got out. "Getting a backache. Did you have to step on every rock?" he asked as he cracked his back back into shape.
"No, I mean why are you here?" asked Po.
"Yeah shouldn't you be running your shop for the villagers?" asked Oswald.
"What was I supposed to do, huh? What if the pandas don't have food you like? You're never gonna be able to save the world on an empty stomach." Mr. Ping said as he patted Po's stomach before walking over to Li. "I consider my presence mission critical."
Sora, Terra, Aqua, Isa, Myde, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Oswald, and Ortensia traded glances.
"It's more than that." Terra said quietly so Po and his fathers couldn't hear.
"Definitely." nodded Isa.
"He's afraid he'll lose Po." said Aqua.
"Not as long as we remind him that he won't." said Sora.
"Oh yes, about that. We can't share the location of the village with others." said Li.
"But you're taking Sora and ½ of his team with you." reminded Mr. Ping.
"They seem like the kind of people you can trust." said Li.
"And they are heroes dad." added Po, making the ten smile in gratitude.
"And you guys could use protection from the Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, or any other enemy we fight." added Sora.
"We do know how to fight them well." nodded Terra.
"You think I can't keep a secret, huh?" Mr. Ping scoffed to Li. "I raised Po for twenty years before I finally told him he was adopted."
Li was surprised, as were Terra, Aqua, Oswald, and Ortensia.
"Seriously?" Li asked.
"Yeah." Po smiled with a nod.
Sora, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Myde, and Isa nodded too as they knew the story.
"Ok, I guess it would be cruel to make you fly back." said Li as he got his stuff and began walking again.
Po gasped at the revelation as he handed Sora and Co. some food.
"You can fly?" he asked his adoptive father.
"I'm a bird, Po." Mr. Ping replied.
"Huh. That's interesting." said Sora. "And I thought Crane was the only one in the valley that could fly. I wonder if Zeng can too."
"Maybe." shrugged Minnie.
Myde looked at Daisy. "Can you fly too?" he asked, curious.
Daisy laughed in amusement. "No, I can't." she giggled. "And before you ask, neither can Donald or the others."
"Closest thing you'll get to them flying is Launchpad at the controls of the Sunchaser." added Sora.
Soon, everyone followed Li up another mountain. After clearing it, they had to walk across a ledge with their backs to the mountain.
"You guys need a new path from this village to the valley." said Myde as he tried not to get sick from their height and path.
"For once, I agree." said Terra. "Next time, we'll take our gliders."
"Noted." said Sora.
Soon, everyone was trying to walk through a deep snowdrift in a blizzard. The only ones who didn't struggle were Mr. Ping and Daisy since their webbed feet allowed them to walk on the snow. While Mr. Ping gloated at Li at how easy it was for him, Daisy gave an apologetic look to her friends. The nine world-travelers struggling to get through the snow waved it off, making Daisy feel a little better.
Soon, the 13 stopped at an ice wall.
"Finally, out of that snowdrift." said Myde.
"Yeah, me, Minnie, Oswald, and Ortensia were close to freezing our tails off." said Daisy.
"You can say that again." said Minnie as she rubbed her tail, trying to keep it warm.
"We're here." Li said as they gazed up the large icy mountain.
"Sure looks like a long ways up there." mused Mr. Ping.
"We could take our gliders but the blizzard would make it difficult to see." said Aqua.
"And my son hates stairs." chuckled Mr. Ping "So let's go home."
"We're pandas. We don't do stairs." chuckled Li.
"I've waited my whole life to hear those words." Po said happily.
Li pulled on a rope. A raft lifted them up the ice wall.
"Rats." grumbled Mr. Ping.
"Whoa— huh?" asked Po as they reached the top, only to see fog everywhere.
"That's a lot of fog." said Isa.
"Perfect weather for the ghost train." mused Max.
"From Percy's story or Rusty's story?" asked Sora.
"Both." Max replied. (5)
Mr. Ping looked around. "This is the secret panda village?" he chuckled. "No wonder you keep it a secret. If I lived here, I wouldn't tell anyone either.'
"We can't see anything because of the fog." Isa deadpanned.
Li chuckled as they stopped. "Now you can 'whoa.'" he said to Sora, Po, and Co.
"Whoa…" Sora, Po, Isa, Aqua, Terra, Myde, Minnie, Daisy Max, Oswald, and Ortensia said in awe.
The snowy fog disappears. A sunlit village full of trees, plants, and elaborate houses were seen.
And everywhere they looked, they saw pandas of all ages, shapes, and sizes, living happily together.
"Wow!" Sora said in awe.
"So many pandas!" Minnie said in surprise.
"Shen didn't get all of them after all." Isa said in shock.
"And look at this place." said Oswald.
"It's so beautiful." added Aqua.
Some of the pandas were flying kits. Others were pushing carts of food and other supplies. And some were sleeping in hammocks.
And that was when they noticed the group.
Panda Villagers: Li? Everyone, Li is back!/They're both back!/He found his son!/He made it1 They're back1/Li?/He found his son1/Everyone, Li is back!/Hang on, we're coming!/He made it1/He made it1/Li Shan is back!
"Why are we running?" a large panda asked.
The entire village ran towards the group happily… and stopped halfway from meeting them, tired from running as they caught their breath, much to everyone else's surprise.
"Like one like rest." Myde commented.
"They probably don't get out much after what Shen did." said Terra.
Eventually, the villagers reached them.
"Everyone, everyone gather around! This is my son." announced Li. "And these 10 are some of his friends." he added, gesturing over to Sora and Co.
"Hello." greeted Sora.
"Nice to meet you all." said Aqua.
"It's a pleasure to be here." said Minnie.
Three panda cubs climbed on Po's shoulders.
"Triplets!" Po exclaimed happily.
"Hi, I'm Ku Ku." said one.
"I'm Meng Meng." said another.
"I'm Shuai Shuai." said the last one.
"Your fur is soft." said Meng Meng.
"He smells like cookies." commented Shuai Shuai.
"Aww!" Minnie and Daisy cooed, reminded of Huey, Dewey, Louie, April, May, and June when they were baby ducklings.
"They're so cute!" Minnie squealed as she picked up Ku Ku.
Daisy and Ortensia did the same with Meng Meng and Shuai Shuai.
"He's so handsome. Just like his father." an eldery female panda complemented.
"Thank you." Mr. Ping said as he appeared from behind Po.
"Son, these are your cousins. Dim and Sum." said Li as he took Po over to some panda twins.
"I have cousins!" Po said happily.
"Welcome!" said Sum.
"Welcome!" said Dim.
Sum put a necklace of buns on Po.
"Whoa, buns on a string." Po mused.
"We call it a snacklace." said Sum
"That's right." nodded Dim.
… and then Dim, Sum, and other villagers ate off the snacklace, leaving nothing but a string around Po's neck.
"Dah… we'll make you another one." said Sum.
"...that was unexpected." said Terra.
"Pandas are hungry animals." shrugged Ortensia.
"Why does Dim sound like a weatherman?" asked Myde. (6)
"No idea." said Oswald.
And then a bigger panda than Po and Li suddenly bearhugged Po. "It's you." he laughed.
"Oh, that's nice. Hi." Po said in pain.
"Who's the hugger?" Sora asked Li.
"That's Big Fun." Li replied.
"I don't know who you are." Big Fun laughed.
A panda girl saw the Tigress action figure in Po's bag and picked it up. "Oh, stripy baby. So beautiful." she giggled.
Po was now worried. "Ok, careful with that." he said worriedly to the girl. "That's my action figure."
"Can I keep her?" she asked.
"No…" Po began.
Lei Lei was about to cry.
"...problem. Of course. Yeah. That's why I brought her. Take good care of her." Po quickly said so she wouldn't cry.
The girl panda hugged the Tigress action figure. "Yes, stripy baby." she giggled.
Po smiled in relief.
"And who's that little darling?" Daisy asked Li.
"Her name's Lei Lei." Li replied.
Po looked at the villagers surrounding him, studying a characteristic from each of them.
"You look just like me, but a baby." Po said to Lei Lei.
Lei Lei giggled.
"You're like me, but old." Po said to the eldery panda.
"You're like me, but fatter." Po said to Big Fun, making him laugh.
Po then cringed when he saw a bigger panda with a straw hat and crooked teeth. "You're like me but... with a hat." he said awkwardly, making the other pandas laugh.
"I won't be sleeping tonight." Myde said as he shuddered at the panda's teeth.
"Neither will I." said Isa, cringing in agreement
"You don't wear a hat." said a panda.
"You all look like me." Po said with a smile.
"Let's feast in my son's honor." Li declared.
The villagers then departed... by rolling down a hill, much to Sora, Po, and Co.'s surprise and bewilderment.
"What the...?" Po said in confusion.
"Pandas don't walk. We roll!" laughed Li as he rolled down too.
"That's… interesting." said Max.
"If Huey and Violet didn't know so much about pandas, they'd be having a field day." joked Sora.
"True." giggled Minnie.
"Have you ever seen anyone look so ridiculous?" laughed Mr. Ping. His expression changed when he saw Po sliding against the ground. Po, what are you doing? Po?!" he called out as he began to roll down the hill.
Po was rolling, but failed to do it without getting hurt. He stopped near the eating table.
"You're right. That is better than walking." laughed Po, making the other pandas laugh.
Soon, panda cooks were bringing out food to the villagers. Sora, Aqua, Terra, Isa, Myde, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Oswald, and Ortensia sat at another table since it was crowded.
"Are you sure you don't want to sit with us?" Po asked.
"It's ok Po." said Sora. "We don't mind at all."
At that moment, Dim and Sum came up with plates of food for everyone.
"Here you are." said Dim. "Enjoy your meal humans, mouse, duck, dog, rabbit, and cat."
"Why thank you." smiled Daisy.
"Do you have any chopsticks?" asked Terra.
Dim and Sum traded glances.
"What're chopsticks?" asked Sum, surprised the 10 Keyblade Wielders.
"You use them to pick up your food in countries like this." said Oswald.
"It's ok, Mr. Ping gave us some." said Minnie.
She reached into her toonspace and brought out ten pairs of chopsticks.
"Thank you Minnie." said Ortensia.
Sora was about to eat a dumpling when he saw Dim try to eat the ones in his bowl.
"Um… Dim, what are you doing?" asked Sora.
"Oh, sorry!" Dim said sheepishly.
As Sora turned around, he saw his dumpling was gone.
"What the?" Sora said in confusion. He got his answer when he saw Sum with his mouth stuffed.
"My bad." Sum said in a muffled tone.
"Do you mind please?" asked Isa, frowning.
"Right, of course!" said Dim.
"Yeah, sorry!" said Sum and the two walked away.
"Man, pandas sure love to eat." said Myde.
"It is in their nature." said Aqua as she ate her salad.
"What kind of panda doesn't know how to roll?" a young malepanda cub named Bao asked.
"Well, I'm kinda new at this whole being a panda thing." said Po.
Bao then noticed Mr. Ping standing on the table. "And what kind of panda are you?" he asked. "You have a funny neck."
"I'm not a panda at all." Mr. Ping said indignantly.
"What's that?" Bao asked, pointing at Mr. Ping's noodle hat.
"My hat." he replied.
"What's that?" asked Bao, pointing at his beak.
"My beak." Mr. Ping replied.
"What's that?" asked Bao as he pointed at Mr. Ping's arm.
"My wing." Mr. Ping replied.
"What's that?" Bao asked as he pointed down.
"My dumplings." mr. Ping replied as he held up a bowl of dumplings. "No more questions. Go away, kid." He walked over to Po and pulled out a pair of chopsticks. "Here, son, I packed your chopsticks"
The villagers gasped in surprise at the chopsticks. This attracted Sora and Co.'s attention.
"Thanks, Dad." smiled Po before noticing the villagers' expressions. "What?" he asked.
"What are those for?" Bao asked.
"These? These are chopsticks. They're for picking up dumplings." Po explained.
"You mean you only eat one at a time?" Bao asked incredulously.
Po looked around the table and saw many pandas eating more than one dumpling at a time. He gasped in realization. "I knew I wasn't eating up to my potential!" he said in amazement as he dropped his chopsticks.
In front of Po and the world-travelers, a dance performance was playing. The villagers were cheering.
"Oh it must be a dinner show!" Minnie said excitedly.
"Let's see what they got." said Aqua.
Two actresses were holding up parasols. Shortly after, they moved to the side and reveal the main actress at the center. She looked straight at Po. The Dragon Warrior looked behind him and then back at her in confusion.
"I… am Mei Mei." she said before whispering to herself behind her fan. "Wow, she's amazing. She's so beautiful." Mei Mei then put her fan down and then looked back at Po. "That's sweet, Po. But please try to save all other compliments until after the performance."
"Me? No, I didn't say…" Po began in confusion.
Mei Mei shushed loudly. "Shut it." she said as she whipped her ribbon. "After the performance."
"Has it started yet?" Mr. Ping asked.
Mei Mei woke up two musicians with a slap from her ribbon. They began to play music.
"Best ribbon dancer in the world. At least, that's what she says." explained Li.
"Then let's see what she's got." said Daisy as they watched.
"Look away, look away. No, you can't. Can you?" said Mei Mei as she twirled her ribbon.
"Dad, why does she keep staring at me like…" Po whispered to Mr. Ping when Mei Mei suddenly appeared in front of him. "...that?"
"Try to keep up." said Mei Mei.
Mei Mei wrapped around Po with her ribbon and pulled him to the stage.
"Oh boy!" said Terra.
"He got dragged into this one." joked Sora, making his fellow travelers chuckle.
"I don't really know how to dance." said Po.
"Of course you do. All pandas dance." said Mei Mei as she pulled Po closer. "I know what you're thinking." she said dramatically.
"You do?" Po asked nervously.
"How can one panda be so beautiful?" Mei Mei asked dramatically before forcing Po to grab some flowers from the table and pulled him back. "For me?" she fake gasped. With a flick of her wrist, she forced Po to kiss her hand multiple times. "Po…" she said dramatically as she pushed Po to the eating table.
"Help me, dads." Po begged.
"Yeah, no. You're on your own." chuckled Li.
"You're doing great, son." said Mr. Ping.
Mei Mei then dragged Po back, unwrapped him, and gave him the ribbon.
"Your turn." she said.
"This oughta be interesting." said Oswald.
"Let's see what Po's got." said Sora.
Po began to play with the ribbon. He accidentally grabbed a cymbal from one of the musicians and hit himself with it.
"Oof!" Sora, Terra, Myde, and Max winced.
He then tripped himself with the ribbon.
"Oh my!" gasped Minnie.
"Oh dear!" said Daisy.
Mei Mei took back the ribbon and used it to lift Po above her head. The villagers applauded. Even Sora and his team applauded too.
"Yay, Po!" cheered Mr. Ping.
Mei Mei tossed Po to the top of the table.
"Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it." chuckled Li.
"I have so much to learn." Po said with a smile.
"Well that was an interesting performance." said Minnie.
"Boy I'll say." said Daisy.
"I'd day that panda's got the hots for Po." said Myde.
"How can ya tell?" Isa deadpanned.
"I don't think Po's returned those feelings." said Sora.
"They did just meet." said Aqua.
Sora shook his head. "It's not like that Aqua." he said to the female bluehead.
"Whaddya mean Sora?" Aqua asked.
Sora smiled. "From all the times I've been here, Po has had his eyes set on someone." he replied.
"Who?" asked Terra.
Sora chuckled. "A certain badass kung fu fighting feline back at the Jade Palace." he replied.
This surprised the world-travelers.
"Does she know?" asked Minnie.
"I don't think so." Sora replied. "But Kairi said that she saw it in Tigress' eyes too."
"But given how serious she usually is, I doubt she'll admit it right away." said Daisy.
"I think they'd make a cute couple." said Minnie with a smile. "But for now, we gotta focus on learning kung fu and mastering chi."
"We'll start tomorrow." said Sora.
Miles away, Crane was flying across the desert. Mantis sat above his hat.
"Wings of Surveillance!" called Crane.
"Why do you do that?" asked Mantis.
"Do what?" asked Crane.
"Just because you say Wings of - before something it doesn't mean that you're doing a special move." said Mantis. "It's like me saying Antenna of Power or... Thorax of Making Sandwiches."
"Wings of Disagreement." muttered Crane.
"Whoa, there." said Mantis as he spotted something up ahead.
Crane looked down and saw a blonde-haired woman in black carrying a large sword walk across the desert. It was Cloud.
"Still no sign of Sephiroth or this Kai person." said Cloud. "I still don't get why Kai would go here. There's no people."
"Hey, you down there!" called Crane as he descended down.
Cloud looked up and saw Crane land next to him.
"Who are you?" asked Cloud.
"My name is Crane, and this is Mantis." said Crane.
"We're kung fu masters from the Jade Palace." said Mantis.
"I see." said Cloud. "My name is Strife. Cloud Strife."
Crane and Mantis were taken aback.
"Wait, your Cloud Strife? As in the swordsman?" asked Mantis.
Now Cloud was taken aback. "How do you know about me?" he asked.
"Sora told us about you." said Crane.
"You know Sora?" asked Cloud.
"Good friend of ours from out of this world. Literally." replied Mantis.
"I see." nodded Cloud.
"What brings you all the way out here?" asked Crane.
Cloud looked out in the distance.
"I knew Sora and his team would come here to learn kung fu." said Cloud. "But then the castle picked up readings of a strange darkness many miles away from the Valley of Peace. I went to investigate since I knew they would be busy. When I got here, I could tell that the scent was that of my old enemy, Sephiroth."
"That Sephiroth guy's still around?" asked Mantis.
"Unfortunately, yes." sighed Cloud. "While looking for him, I saw this creature with glowing eyes named Kai."
Crane and Mantis gasped.
"You've seen him?" asked Crane.
Cloud nodded. "Yes. I've been tracking him down to see what he's up to as I haven't had much luck finding Sephiroth." he replied.
"Then why don't we team up?" suggested Mantis. "You can help us track down Kai and then we can warn all our friends back at the Jade Palace."
Cloud thought for a moment. He looked at the two kung fu masters.
"Very well then. Let's move." said the swordsman.
Crane took to the skies again with Mantis as Cloud ran alongside them.
"How are you keeping up so fast?" asked Mantis, amazed.
"I've had training." said Cloud. "1st class SOLDIER before I quit after my friend Zack disappeared."
"Cool." said Crane, impressed.
The three then saw an abandoned ship with a broken hull resting in the distance. Approaching it were four moving objects – creating a large dust trail behind them as they go. Crane descended as Cloud jumped over the dust.
There, running in a group were several kung fu masters. Masters Croc and Storming Ox from Gongmen City were among them.
"Master Bear, Master Chicken, Master Storming Ox, Master Croc! What are you doing out here?" asked Crane.
"Jade creatures attacked our villages." said Chicken "We've tracked them here."
"Who's the human?" asked Ox.
"Name's Cloud." said Cloud. "Helping you guys out."
"Do you know what we're up against?" asked Croc.
"Yes." said Cloud. "And I have a feeling that an old enemy of mine is here too."
"As long as we have more back up, the better." said Ox.
"Stop!" shouted Bear.
Everyone skidded to a stop in front of the ship.
"They must be in there." said Bear.
"Master Shifu strongly advised us—" began Crane.
Bear suddenly roared and ran into the ship.
Croc gave out a battle cry and ran inside too.
Storming Ox followed suit as well.
"...not to engage." Crane finished, frowning.
"This'll just lead to trouble." grunted Cloud.
"Gotta get in there." Mantis said determinedly.
"But Master Shifu said—" began Crane.
"You're seriously afraid?" mantis asked incredulously. "Even Master Chicken's going in there! And he's a chicken."
Chicken charged in too. Shortly after, four bursts of green light appeared from the ship. Chicken's battle cry was heard.
"Oh shit." muttered Cloud.
Mantis gasped. "That's it, I'm going in." he shouted.
"Mantis, we have orders not to—" began Crane.
"They need our help. Come on. I'll go high, you go low." said Mantis as he charged in.
"No, wait!" whispered Crane.
"Mantis, get back here!" whispered Cloud.
As Mantis jumped onto the ship, Cloud suddenly looked tense.
"Cloud, what's wrong?" asked Crane.
"Sephiroth." Cloud said.
Cloud and Cran turned around. And there, standing several feet away from them was Sephiroth. He wore his Kingdom Hearts II attire and had his masamune in his grasp.
"That's a large sword." gulped Crane.
"Glad you like it." Sephiroth smirked as he looked over at Cloud. "I had a feeling you'd show up."
Sephiroth walked over to Cloud. "Trying to track me down, huh? You finally ready to embrace the darkness?" he asked.
Cloud glared. "In your dreams you one-winged bastard." he sneered. "I side with the light. I will never join you. Especially since you joined the Organization."
Crane gasped. "Sephiroth's a member of Organization XIII?!" he exclaimed.
"Willing volunteered to be a seeker of darkness." said Cloud.
"That I did." Sephiroth smirked. "I do have the golden vessel eyes now."
Cloud looked at Crane.
"Help Mantis. I'll handle him." he said.
"Are you sure?" asked Crane.
"I've dealt with him many times." said Cloud. "I can do it again."
Crane nodded as he ran over to the ship.
Sephiroth readied his sword. "Prepare to become one with the darkness Cloud." he said evilly.
"Shut up!" Cloud snapped as he charged forwards.
Cloud and Sephiroth clashed swords before Cloud pushed the Organization member away. Sephiroth swayed his sword at Cloud as the blonde-haired man ducked. Cloud slashed Sephiroth across his chest, but hot before the long grey-haired man flew into the air and slashed Cloud several times with his masamune. Cloud jumped into the air and he and Sephiroth clashed several more times. Sephiroth drew his long sword back and tried to upper slash Cloud, but the good swordsman blocked it with his sword and pushed it back before punching Sephiroth in the face. Sepheiroth fell to the ground and landed on his feet. Cloud charged back at Sephiroth and the two clashed several more times.
During that time, Mantis had jumped onto the boat and slipped through some broken planks. "Fear the bug! Alright, you little... uh oh."
A burst of green light appeared from the ship.
Crane was now really worried. "Hold on, buddy. I'm coming!" he called.
"Antenna of Power!" shouted Mantis when there was another green glow. "Ah, it didn't work!" Mantis shouted.
"Mantis!" cried Crane as he flew in.
"Mantis?" Crane called as he looked around. "Mantis?" he whispered.
Suddenly, Kai appeared from the shadows. Crane saw him and gasped. He quickly pulled his hat over his face and whistled innocently as he tried to walk away. But Kai suddenly pinned him down. Crane used his legs to flip Kai over and he landed in the sand. Crane quickly got up again and into a fighting stance.
"Your chi is strong." mused Kai. "Just like your friend. Kai then showed a jade pendant… that looked just like Mantis.
"The bug." Kai smirked.
Crane gasped in horror. "Mantis." he said as he glared at Kai.
Crane charged forward, but Kai sent him back with a chi blast. Crane crashed into the ship wall.
"Don't worry, little birdie. I'll put your chi to good use." smirked Kai as he brought out his blades. "Destroying the Jade Palace and everyone in it."
"No!" exclaimed Crane.
The avain master kicked a keg to Kai's head to distract him. Crane burst through the boat, attempting to fly away, but Kai suddenly threw his bladed at Crane, which tied around him.
"Wings of... regret!" Crane cried as he was dragged down.
Kai laughed as he turned Crane into a jade pendant.
During that time, Cloud and Sephiroth were still dueling. Sephiroth slashed Cloud across his arm, but Cloud retaliated by upper lashing Sephiroth across his chest. Sephiroth flew up and dried to strike Cloud from the air. But Cloud pushed him back with his sword and then slashed him across his stomach. The two ran towards each other in a hurry, ready to strike the other down. But they clashed their weapons so hard that they ended up pushed away from each other as their feet skidded on the sand.
"Have… enough…?" panted Cloud.
"Maybe…" Sephiroth panted before smirking evilly. "But I know someone who hasn't."
Cloud raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What the hell are you talking about?" he demanded.
Sephiroth smirked. "If I can't get you into the darkness, then he can." he replied. "He's all yours Kai." he called as he teleported away.
"What?" Cloud said in confusion.
Cloud turned around, only to get wrapped by Kai's blades, much to his shock. Kai smirked at the swordsman.
"Even though you aren't a kung fu master, your chi is strong." Kai mused. "I can put it to good use the way it was meant to be."
Cloud glared at the former general. "I will never serve you, you rotten old bastard!" he snapped.
"Oh, but you will." Kai smirked as he dragged Cloud towards him.
Cloud shouted in horror as he flew towards Kai. Kai used his chi powers to turn Cloud into a pendant. He then attached him to his belt.
"Next stop, the Jade Palace." Kai smirked.

Sora, Terra, Aqua, Isa, Myde, Minnie, Daisy, Max, Oswald, Ortensia, Po, Li, and Mr. Ping have made it to the secret village!
But now Kai has captured several more kung fu masters, including Crane and Mantis. He even has Cloud too!
After seeing all the movies, I found it odd that Master Storming Ox wasn't in this movie and only Master Croc was. So I included him too.
And now we know how Ortensia got her Keyblade.
