Chapter 9. Still don't own this stuff (Harry Potter). But what really is ownership? Do we truly own anything in this world? Okay I'll stop now.
Special shout out to xXMizz Alec VolturiXx who has commented and read every single chapter I've written and also FemAguila. Yeah you two rock.
Quidditch practice had gone well that day, and Ron and Harry were discussing a break down of the team before the inter-house competition started. Harry had just finished showering and had his towel wrapped in a turban around his head. Ron lay on his bed, whilst Harry dressed. "I don't understand why you and my sister have to go on a date tonight. I thought we were meant to be hanging out. I wanted to talk tactics, we've got the France tour coming up and the Ravenclaw game and we both know that that the damn beater's fitness levels have dropped since last term."
"Yeah I know Ron," sighed Harry dramatically "just your sister and I get very little alone time these da…" Ron cut Harry off with a pillow. Harry glared at him as he put the finishing touches to his perfectly ruffled hair. Ron stared at him "Mate, if you're going out in that, then where on earth are you going?"
Harry was wearing black skinny jeans, a white Henley and the jacket Ginny had given him for his birthday. "Are you joining an emo band?" Harry rolled his eyes at Ron's comment and went to the door, leaning back into the room he said "Don't get too lonely whilst I'm gone you bell end." Ron chucked a pillow at the door,
"Oh fuck off, I'll go see Lavender or Padma." Harry laughed loudly at this as he went downstairs and waited for 'Mione and Ginny.
Ginny was shouting at Hermione. "Oh for fucks sake Hermione put the fucking dress on or so help me God I will hold you down and put it on for you." Hermione sighed and finally relented putting on the short, silky black dress. It hugged her top half, the long sleeves clung like a second skin- The lace seemed to become a spiraling black pattern on her arms, whilst the neck line was a low V. The skirt flowed from her hips to mid thigh and sheer black tights continued from there. (Ginny conceded that maybe showing everyone her kickers wasn't head girl behavior) Hermione grumbled "I'm not wearing the shoes though, I just cannot be arsed." The shoes came sailing across the room as one missed Hermione's face by an inch and the other hit her ass. "Fine I will wear the fucking shoes you utter bitch." Ginny cracked a smile at this point. She glided across the room in a sheer green skirt and black crop top to stand next to Hermione. "Why can't I wear something long like you?" grumbled Hermione. "Because you're fucking miniature" was the reply.
Hermione sighed extremely loudly as she touched up her smokey eye make-up and primped her fucking complicated hairstyle that Ginny had spent far too long on. She placed a thin gold chain with a tiny cross over her head that rested just below her collarbone. Ginny did last minute checks for herself and Hermione before placing an emerald mask over her eyes and dragging Hermione out of the bathroom.
Hermione led Harry and Ginny through the school towards the classroom. It was already late so the only person to look out for was Filch, but he was currently being shouted at in McGonagall's office so there were few other people to be wary of. Reaching the corridor the three student could hear nothing due to the silencing charms. Hermione walked to the door and knocked. The door cracked and loud music flowed from the gap. Pansy opened the door and saw the three of them standing there. "Well if it isn't our most esteemed Gryffindor guests! Everyone come see how good Granger looks when she's not in uniform." A crowd of around 40 students filled the room. The party appeared to be made up mainly of Ravenclaw and Slytherin. The occasional Hufflepuff was dotted around and Hermione thought she could see maybe 2 Gryffindor 6th years but other than that there was a serious absence of "Reds". Pansy yanked Hermione inside, beckoned Harry and Ginny in and dragged the head girl to the drinks table. She handed her a green glowing shot glass filled with a blue liquid that appeared to be smoking. Clinking Hermione's glass with one of her own, Pansy downed the shot before staring expectantly at Hermione. Hermione rolled her eyes but necked the shot and had another one in her hand before she could say no. She tipped it back and hugged Pansy "Alright you freak, I'm going to go socialize"
"I should say you are!" hollered Pansy who slapped her ass and ran off to go peer pressure some Ravenclaws into drinking. Hermione walked over to the smoker's corner but she got barely three steps before she was lifted into the air by two strong arms. She looked down to see Michael Corner. "Alright you sexy bookworm, to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?" She slapped him and laughed.
"I'm surprised they let a Hufflepuff in here."
"Oh well I know the chairman of the board."
"As do it, speaking of him, where is Theo?"
"Behind you." Came Theo's deep voice. Hermione whipped around,
"You have got to stop sneaking up on me like this."
"Sorry, I guess it's kind of habit now." He handed her a red shot glass that had glitter swirling around in it "Drink it, I made this one." She necked the shot as he did and they both giggled. "What's in it?"
"Laughing potion, I made it in my free period. It's best when it's fresh."
"Impressive, its fucking strong though." Still laughing they went to lie on one of the squashy sofas, she leaned against his body as they were both breathing heavily and giggling slightly. His hand traced an odd pattern on her arm and neither of them were speaking. "Hermione, I think I like you a little more than I was letting on." Nott's voice was husky and low, close in her ear. "Well that makes two of us." She replied, smiling slightly. "So where do we go to next? Are you my… girlfriend?"
"I don't know, am I?"
"Well I think it's a little up to you to accept the offer."
"But I have no dating experience, for heavens sake I missed out on that part of Hogwarts in a major way."
"You and Krum never… dated? Or what ever?"
"We wrote to each other a lot, I went to stay with him, and he came to stay with me. It was all good fun really- but I wouldn't say we dated or anything. It wasn't a relationship."
"So do you want to be in a relationship?"
"I mean, if you're offering, why don't we give it a shot?"
He kissed her slightly turned cheek and grinned from ear to ear. It was fucking adorable.
Oh wait so that's so happily ever after. But wait. There's more. What about Draco? What about everything else. Idk this all feels too easy. And in good fanfiction it should never be this easy.
