A/N: So, this story doesn't follow any Young Justice storyline. It vaguely takes place shortly after season one. Okay, good luck, have fun.
Whoa, one more thing, I want to make it clear that I have rated this M. I will put warnings before chapter that have triggering events. Okay, that's it.

Chapter Two
April's POV
The mission details have become fuzzy.
I do remember that CADMUS had managed to neutralize and capture Superboy, and of course, we went after them.
Things happened so fast.
I don't want to think about it, but I can't help remembering the end.
Aqualad tells us to fall back. I want to argue, we couldn't just leave Superboy. Yet, he was right. Things were going downhill fast.
At that point I was already backed into a corner, away from any team member. I used my Canary Cry to make a path. It works wonderfully and I'm about to take off towards the team. But I didn't see the person behind, if there even was a person. Perhaps it was someone further away, using a gun of some kind. All I really know is the pain that radiated off my back, sending electricity through my body.
I crash to the floor. I reach towards my back to pull the 'stinger,' for lack of a better word, off my body. As I reach for it, another blast from it courses through me.
"Siren!" I hear, but it's far away and I already have black spots in my eyes. Soon, it's dark.
I don't want to think about waking up here and all the things that have happened since, but the problem with lying in this cell is that, when I was alone, all I had is time to think.
I hear the cell door open. I want to curl into myself more, but the pain makes it hard to move. He was here already.
I hear a voice next to me and it's not who I was expecting. This voice- it sounded like Dick. There's a light touch to my shoulder and I instinctively pull away. "April." The voice says.
I force my eyes open. It's not Dick though, at least not in his Robin outfit. "It's me." He says. "I know I don't look it, but I'm Robin." He says, as if knowing my thoughts.
I push myself up, although I barely have the strength. It was a problem I had after the experiments, they left me really weak. "Robin?" I barely recognize my voice.
"It's okay. We're going to get you out of here."
I nod and try to stand up. I only end up falling, but Dick catches me. He then picks me up and carries me out of my cell. I'm too tired to say anything and part of me feels close to passing out from all the movement.
I'm able to see the bioship before the I actually do pass out.
Wally's POV
I miss her. I miss my best friend. It's been four months since we've seen her or Conner.
I remember the day before that stupid mission.
Conner, Dick, Kaldur, Artemis, and I had just gotten done training. We were walking towards the kitchen area. I not sure what was more noticeable, April's singing or the sweet smell of cupcakes in the oven.
Siren was a good name. April loved to sing.
When we walk into the room, I see April with M'gann. They were wiping down the counters. While cleaning, April sang some song I didn't recognize. I was more into lively pop music, April was into, well, everything; Pop, country, rap, Broadway musical numbers, everything. This one sounded country- some uplifting song. April especially liked happy songs, ones that she could dance to. Luckily for her, she wasn't shy about it. She would sing to herself all around headquarters. It was something that was just part of the place at that point.
Unfortunately, now, the silence of her absence was almost unbearable.
April sees us first. She stops in the middle of the lyrics, "Oh, hey guys."
"Hey." We all say back.
M'gann turns to us. "We were going to join you guys, but we make these strawberry cupcakes from scratch and it took longer than expected."
The timer on the stove beeps. M'gann pulls them out and sets them on the counter.
I race over and try to pull one out.
"They're hot, silly." April reprimands.
She grabs a butter knife from the counter and uses that to grab one, placing it on the counter in front of me. "Do you want frosting? There's some in the fridge- it's not homemade. If you put it on the cupcake, it will melt, but you could just grab a spoonful and have it on the side."
I smile, speeding to the fridge and back in a blink of the eye. "That's why you're the best." I tell her.
She turns to the others, "You guys want some too? Or would you rather wait until they are properly frosted?"
They opted to wait.
Me, I had already stuffed the cupcake in my mouth and was now eating the rest of the frosting in the tub.
"Don't eat the rest of the frosting!" M'gann shouted. "We need it for the rest of the cupcakes."
I froze in place, having already eaten over half.
April laughed. "Don't worry about it, Wally, go ahead and keep eating."
M'gann gave her a confused look.
April whispered something in her ear, causing the other girl to laugh and roll her eyes.
"What?" I said, with my mouth full of frosting.
"Nothing." The both said in unison.
It wasn't until later that night that I found out what April had said. Apparently, she knew that I would eat the first tub and had bought a secret second one to finish frosting the cupcakes.
It had been when we were playing video games. It was me, Artemis, Dick, Kaldur, and Conner playing. M'gann sat and watched, but she didn't really like to play. Usually we play teams, but April left to visit her grandpa, so it wasn't even.
"So, when are you going to finally ask her out?" Artemis asked. I don't remember how the question had come up, but it had.
"What?" was all I had to say in response.
Artemis rolled her eyes. "You know, you and April." She said as if it was obvious, before killing my player in the game thanks to me being distracted.
"I don't—"
"Oh, come on." Artemis said. "This whole 'will they, won't they' thing, it's getting old."
"There is no 'will they, won't they' thing" I say back.
Dick pauses the game. "You like her though, right?"
"Of course, I like her, we've been friends forever."
"Do you like her as a friend, or like her in a romantic sense?" M'gann asked.
I paused and it was enough for them to jump on.
"We all see how you two are." Artemis says.
"Artemis is right." Kaldur states. "It's strange that you haven't asked her out on a proper date."
I slouch back into the couch, "I don't want to ruin our friendship, she may not feel that way about me."
"I sure she does." M'gann says. She then mentions the frosting incident. "She wouldn't do that if she didn't care about you."
"You both know each other so well, and yet, both of you are too dense to see how the other feels." Dick states.
I had a plan- to tell her how I felt and to see if she would go on a date with me. I had to wait until after the mission and then- then everything happened.
Today, a little over four months later, we finally had a potential lead on Cadmus headquarters. We finally had something to base hope on that we would see Conner and April again.
We infiltrated the base quickly, incapacitating the doctors and guards that got in our way. We split up once we got inside. Aqualad and I went to the west side of the building. It was a little like déjà vu when we came up to a series of pods, a row of about 10.
We walk down the hallway, it's surprisingly quiet.
We pass a couple when I see one that contains a person. It is Superboy. It looks exactly like when we found him a couple years ago. He was unconscious in a white super suit with the 's' symbol on his chest. The only difference was there was a tube connected to each side. One side looked like it was empty or maybe just not in use. The other looked like it had some fluid going into him. Perhaps it's what kept him sedated.
"We have located Superboy." Aqualad said over the mind link that Miss Martian created.
I focus on opening the pod, trying not to think of April. I've already checked the rest of the pods, they were all empty. I wonder what they were even for.
Looking at the panel next to Superboy's pod, I realize this type of stuff is not my forte, so I move aside and let Aqualad handle getting him out.
Luckily it only takes a moment for the pod to open and Superboy, still unconscious, comes tumbling down. We keep him from suddenly hitting the ground, instead it was more of a slow decent to the floor and we gently place him down. I keep an eye out for Cadmus guards, while kneeling beside Superboy. We wait a moment to see if he comes to.
He does. He looks perplexed as he sees us. "What's going on?" He asks.
"We will explain back on the ship." Aqualad tells him.
We help him walk and head back down to where we started.
As we're walking, I hear Nightwing in the mind link, "I found Siren."
Hope builds up in my chest at the idea of seeing her again, of seeing her soon. I feel bad for a second for not being as concerned for Superboy, but then I figure he has M'gann to be crazy worried about him.
We get to the bioship. Nightwing and Siren aren't there yet. We let Superboy rest on one of the seats. It only takes a second and M'gann tackles him with a hug. "I missed you so much." She says, tears threatening to escape.
He hugs her back, but he seems confused about…. Something.
"I- I don't understand. What happened?"
The three of us- Aqualad, Miss Martian, and I- look at each other.
Aqualad speaks, "You were taken be Cadmus."
Superboy nods, "I remember being hit with the kryptonite."
"Do you remember anything that happened after that?" Aqualad asks.
"No." He puts his head in his hands, frustrated. M'gann puts her hand on his shoulder. Superboy continues, "I only remember being hit and passing out, then you two waking me up from that pod."
"I guess that makes sense." I say. "They probably didn't want you to try and escape."
Superboy is about to say something when Nightwing enters. He's carrying April. Nobody says anything as he walks past, headed to the small med bay. I guess we're all in shock. Scars and bruises litter her body. She's looks smaller than before. As if on autopilot, I get up and follow Nightwing.
