You Know What They Say
Chapter 3
A taping sound at Haley's cabin awoke her later that night as she groggily opened her eyes placing her feet in her bunny slippers and making her way to the cabin's window where she was surprised to see Nathan Scott of all people standing outside making her brows furrow in confusion. What the hell was he doing here?
"Do you have any idea what time it is?"
"Not really. I just barely woke up."
"Why are you here?"
"I wanted to talk to you."
"At three in the morning? Couldn't it wait until seven?"
"When you put it that way, yeah I guess it could have waited until morning, but I didn't think you would want the audience that follows me."
"Good Point. Hold on, I'll be right out."
Moving as quietly as she could, Haley put on her shoes and softly opened the door, closing it when she went out as she softly walked up to Nathan confused about what he was doing there.
"I'm listening."
"I'm sorry about how Peyton treated you at the party sometimes she can act like a rather nasty bitch."
"Why are you dating her then? You know if you think she's a nasty bitch?"
"She's hot. She's great at sex. And she's deep when you get to know her, but we've never been the perfect match. If you know what I mean. My relationship with her doesn't seem that it will last past high school."
"Then why not break it off now so it'll be less painful in the future?"
"Sex and popularity. They're all that matters in high school. At least to me."
"They shouldn't though, what should matter is what makes you happy."
"What makes you think I'm not happy?"
"Call it a hutch."
"Alright, I'll bite. What do you think will make me happy?"
"That's something only you can figure out. "
"I think having someone who can understand me would make me happy."
"Well that's a start. You just have to find a way to manifest that and you're all set."
"I think I have something in mind." Nathan answered stepping closer to her.
"And what's that?" she asked before he kissed her.
After he was done kissing her, Haley took a step back shocked that he had done that.
"I-I should get back inside." Haley stammered not waiting for Nathan's response as she went back to her cabin not knowing what was going to happen next.
