What's up everyone. Glad everyone is enjoying this story. I won't be updating this story next week. As I have to finish Chapter 7 of Though the Rise and Fall. Other then that I'm going to clear something up. I addressed a Review that asked me If this was High School Dxd with RWBY skins. Now from everyone who reads my stories. How crazy does that sound? Where in this story did anything I do look like High School DxD? Aside from that I hope you guys enjoy this lets get to the Reviews from last chapter.
One last thing. If I get asked about something specific I'll address it in a fashion similar to an added pages at the bottom that with high a sign like this as opposed to my A/N [ Specifics like Avatars] but only if asked. Because putting what I have in my head like Extras into words can get lost in translation and intention and misunderstandings.

Chapter 4: Team Selections Pt 2
Location: Emerald Forest
Place: Forest floor
Time: 1100
Aura was a wonderful thing! Aside from creating an impenetrable field that protected a user from attacks it had many more functions. One of the greater known functions was that it fueled ones semblance. Most people didn't notice once they got to a cretin level of skill of use that it was such a mild drain of aura. Another well known function was that it allowed a person accelerated healing. For instance Yang who's semblance was called Burn absorbed kinetic energy into her body and allowed her to dish it back out. And the best part about he semblance was that it stacked. She got stronger and could even store the energy while her adrenaline was pumping. Weirdly enough her semblance could be activated if she was angered as well if her hair was cut. Her hair also seemed to catch fire. It didn't stop her from tacking damage, but her Aura healed her over time. They worked in a delicate balance to keep Yang safe.
That was only the basics of Aura as well. Some people dedicated their entire lives to mastering arts dedicated to just using Aura. As far as Ruby knew their were several styles of unarmed combat dedicated to using Aura alone and she knew of at least one master of the Aura Blade. Ruby herself had begun to learn the skills associated with the Speed and defense form of Aura Blade. From what Qrow had told her in a drunken confession once that Yang's own Mother was a Master of Aura Blade Strength and Attack Variant.
Ruby focused her mind summoned Akiza's wings and slowed herself as she flapped her wings and landed on the ground with barely a sound. As she landed she took Guilty Rose in SMG mode and looked around her surroundings before she pulled Akiza's wings back into her back.
"Akiza I need you!" said Ruby.
Akiza appeared and grew to be the size of a large snake. It was rare that Ruby used Akiza for direct combat. Not because she couldn't, bur due to how much Aura it took to maintain. Despite Avatars being beings with thoughts and feelings of their own they still were part of their Users. They were connected on such a deep level that sometimes it was hard to figure out where the Avatar began and the User ended. They shared an Aura, but unlike their users Avatars didn't have the protection like others. But upon using their abilities outside of the body they drained a significant amount of Aura.
"Scout and share with me," said Ruby.
Akiza vanished into the underbrush as Ruby's left eye glowed. Everything that Akiza was seeing Ruby was seeing. As Ruby made her way though the brush she heard the sound of a gun cocking. She jumped behind a tree as the sound of a a fully automatic unloaded where she had been standing. Ruby didn't have time to ponder what happened as she rose Guilty Thorn and blocked a Katana strike.
Rolling from behind the tree she was met with a Hammer to the back that sent her rolling forwards. Ruby righted herself and shifted Guilty into Blade mode as she landed in a low crouch. She looked at the duo who attacked her. It was a Large male and a female. The female wore a casino bunny outfit, while the boy wore the robes of a monk.
"You missed her Mokon," snapped the girl with a simple single edge straight sword with a dust chamber in the hilt.
"Sorry Sunny. I didn't think that she would be able to avoid most of the blow as well as she did. I at least figured that i would break her Aura," said Mokon.
The girl grinned. "Not a problem big guy .Honestly we should have expected nothing less then a challenge from Akiza Rose," said Sunny swinging her sword around.
Ruby rose to her full height, even though she was still shorter then her female attack by a good few inches. Her sword was at the low ready, but she was already prepared for a counter attack. She just needed to wait a few minutes.
"Why did you two attack me?" asked Ruby with narrowed eyes.
"Nothing personal Akiza," said Sunny as her Katana started glowing purple. "But the second Mokon and I became partners we decided that it was in our best interest to take out any and all people we find.
"The Slots for Beacon are few and far between. We have to narrow it down as much as possible," said the large Male as his hammer shifted to a LMG.
"I was afraid you'd say that," said Ruby as she took a stance with her blade above her head.
Before either party could attack A figure came flying out of the brush. She rushed up to Mokon and unleashed several stabbing thrusts into his body. She pulled back the last one and powered it up with Earth and Fire dust, before she sent it into Mokon's gut and sent him flying backwards. Before Sunny could react she was engulfed in a red energy blast that saw her crumple like a house of cards.
"Honestly if I didn't know any better I'd swear you conned me into being your partner," said Weiss as she opened Myrtenaster and loaded a fresh vial of Earth Dust into it.
Ruby grinned seeing her partner. "Not my fault. The rules stated the first person you locked eyes with. I can share my vision with Akiza here. Therefore I 'locked' eyes with you. Good thing you were only 100 years out and knew to follow Akiza," said Ruby.
Akiza landed on the ground and Sent a single blast into the face of Mokon knocking him out of the fight.
"Why is that?" asked Weiss raising and eyebrow.
"If it had been Yang she would have instantly known what seeing Akiza mean. Blake might have figured it out, and Pyrrha would have come running if she saw Akiza. As Far as I'm aware I'm the only user with an Avatar that can share site. Pyrrha's Avatar can use her Semblance, and Ozpin's Avatar is said to be able to stop time itself," said Ruby as Ruby checked over Sunny.
"Wait Ozpin has an Avatar?" asked the Schnee heiress not knowing about Opzin having one.
Ruby nodded to her. "As far as I'm aware all the Headmasters in the major schools have Avatars. Although unlike them I'm still a novice at using Akiza in battle," said Ruby
"What are you talking about? She seems like she'd be pretty effective to me in this size," said Weiss.
Ruby shuck her head at this. "I can use Akia like this, but aside from Wings, Scout size, her Blasts and her Mask I have my Trump Card, but other then that I have nothing," said Ruby as she looked at a tree.
"Trump card?" asked Weiss.
Ruby smirked. "I'll keep that to myself for now, besides i figured out which way we should go,"
Weiss huffed as Akiza shrank down to her miniature form and hopped a ride on Ruby's shoulder, before the duo began to make their way forward.

"Where are you Nora?" said a young man as he slowly walked though the forest.
The young man in question was quite handsome with his Mistralian features. He stood at 5'9" with a fairly lean build. long black hair that ends midway down his back. There is a magenta streak on the left side of his hair tied in a low ponytail with a red tie, Magenta colored eyes, wearing a dark green, diagonally-buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. The trimming goes down the right side of his torso and forms a black collar. Along with this, he wears a black, long-sleeved shirt beneath the suit white pants with black shoes
Lie Ren or Ren as he preferred allowed his concentration to lapse making his Semblance cut off. When that happened he heard the sound of hissing. He allowed his two machine pistols with the blades at the bottom to come out. He turned and looked at the Massive King Taiju The massive snake like Grimm hissed at Ren as Ren took a stance as he raised his weapons before unleashing a hail of bullets. The bullets basically bounced off of his scales. Ren cursed under his breath as he rushed at the Snake like grimm. If piecing didn't work, then slashing would. He allowed the quick change configurations to work changing the machine guns into an elven style short sword with the blades in such a way that allows for Ren to still shoot. (1)
Ren charged in an cut at the neck of the King Taiju. Ren had to be careful King Taiju's had some of the strongest venom in the would only with only Arachnids being stronger. Ren felt something behind him and jumped spun jump in time to be smashed into the ground by the Second head of the King Taiju. The Black head of the Taiju opened its mouth and was about to bite Ren when several grenades hit it.
Ren rolled away and got into a crouched position and focused Aura into his blades before charging in he dodged the head thrust and jumped into the air, before he spun in the air and came down and slashed though the neck of the Black Head. As he finished the White Head rushed him and pushed Ren. Ren was forced to drop Storm-flower and outwardly project his Aura creating an AOE shield.
"Nora I could use some help!" grunted Ren.
Ren had never had a lot of Aura, well not as much as some Huntsmen and Huntresses. For him avoiding using not only his semblance, but also Aura Projection was a good very good idea.
A large war hammer came flying out of nowhere and hit the King Taiju in the head. It hissed in pain as it moved away from Ren. Ren pulled his open palm backwards and gathered the Aura in his hand, before hitting the Taiju in the head with enough force to Blow his his head open. Ren took deep breaths to calm himself, before using his Aura Tranquility to center his own emotions. It was very weird. He knew that some semblances had effects that were always active no matter what. His was one of them... as was his Partners.
Returning storm-flower to it's concealed form he picked up Magnhild. As someone jumped out of the trees and smirked at him.
"Hey Renny!" said his childhood friend and forever partner Nora
Nora stood at 5' even with a petite, but thicc figure with Large D-cup breasts and a large butt that made many men stare- not that Ren ever noticed- orange hair and turquoise eyes. Combined with a grin that never ended, it made Nora cute, beautiful even... In a sisterly sort of way. She wore a collared black sleeveless vest, with a blue central front section with red accents, her vest has her emblem- A hammer with a Lightning bolt though it , on the back. Under the vest, she wears a white sleeveless t-shirt with a heart-shaped cutout above her breast line in the center accompanied with a pair of white detached sleeves on each arm. She sports a short pink skirt with a single white layer under it. Her white ankle boots sport pink soles with part of her emblem, the lighting bolt, on them and low heels with pink laces, the tops are folded over revealing the pink lining. She also wears a silver armor piece that wraps around waist, under her breasts and around the back on her neck with metal connecting each piece together at the front. Around her neck was a small Jade pendent with the writing for Safety on it. A gift from Ren on her Last birthday.
Nora was Ren's oldest friend and quite the little ball of energy. At one point Ren had been a coward and Nora a ball of rage and anger. Over the years they had settled into their current selves. Ren normally emotionally suppressed to the point of an Emo and Nora was always hyper and on the go.
"What took you so long?" asked Ren with a smile.
Nora grinned. "It took me a while to find you. If you had went with my Idea and used a sloth sound I could have found you quicker," said Nora.
Ren rubbed the back of his head and smiled. "Nora Sloths don't make sounds," said Ren.
Nora grinned. "And that's why it's perfect!"
Ren chuckled. "Never change Nora,"

Janis brought up her shield, blocking the attack of the large Ursa that was currently her opponent. She had managed to get into the forest and upon landing on the ground she rushed forward without a thought drawing her sword and shield and just ran. It was probably after a few moments that she ran into Pyrrha Nikos. Pyrrha looked at her and just nodded. She then made her way forward without so much as a word.
Janis had honestly been hoping to pair up with Akiza or Yang. She had blushed thinking about the other blonde haired girl. She had been so confident and beautiful. Janis wasn't sure if she was in to girls, but if she was Yang was defiantly her type. Ummm why did the story go here... Oh yeah back to the fight that was happening.
Janis rolled under another slash attempt before she got to her feet and pushed Aura into her shield and rushed forward. She hit the Ursa in the gut with enough force to make it yell in pain, following this up she jumped and slashed the Bears head off.
"Impressive. I knew that the Arcs were skilled in using their shields for offensive attacks, but I had no idea that you were already skilled with weaponizing it," said The red haired Amazon.
Janis blushed and bowed slightly to the praise. "Thank you. My Great-Grandfather severed under the Warrior King in the Great War. Victor Arc was called the Master of O-defense and was even said to be the Strategist that oversaw several campaigns against Mistral at the Ocean ports He was a master of Using a Shield as a weapon. Story has it that he never used a sword in battle. Something I can actually confirm," said Janis. (2)
"I recall those battles. My own Great-Grandfather lead that campaign. He was soundly defeated," said Pyrrha.
Janis blushed. "I'm sorry," said Janis.
Pyrrha gave a small chuckle before putting a hand on Janis's shoulder. "Be at ease Janis. Orian Nikos didn't hate Victor. In fact he called him the only man worthy of his respect, even the former Royal and Noble families didn't have the respect of the strongest warrior in Mistral during the Great War. I look forward to seeing what the Great Arc family is capable of," said Pyrrha.
"Thank you. Um can I ask you a question Pyrrha?" asked Janis.
Pyrrha nodded as they continued their journey. "We will be spending the next 4 years working as partners. It would be counterproductive if we didn't speak to each other,"
"What is your relationship to Ruby?"
It was at that moment that that Janis felt a shiver of fear run up her spin. Appearing next to Pyrrha was a Lion that was easily the size of a horse. The Lion was gold in color with a red mane and eyes that matched Pyrrha's. It let out a roar that seemed scare everything within a mile radius of them. Pyrrha placed a hand on the Lions head. (3)
"Be at ease my guardian Achilles," said Pyrrha as she rubbed his snout. "To answer your question Janis... I simply love Ruby,"

Ozpin took a sip of his coffee as he looked at the monitor that showed Miss Rose and Miss Schnee. An interesting combination... Not the one he wanted for Miss Rose. He wanted her and Miss Nikos to partner up. He would have to hope for fate to align with his interests.
Pyrrha Nikos... In invincible girl. The most honored daughter of Mistral
Ruby Rose... The last of a powerful bloodline that the grimm feared.
The two youngest Avatar users in the world. Some would even say the strongest girls in the world. The strongest pieces on the board that he hoped to use one day. The road to hell was paved with good intentions... Well his way to hell had been paid for 1000 times over. He just hoped that they weren't added to his ticket count.
"And our final pairs are made with Miss Nikos and Miss Arc. I'm quite surprised to see her Avatar I was under the impression that it was a Fox. I've already marked several that are pairs that do not fit with our program," said Glynda.
