A short one for today; I am finding it hard to focus on writing with everything going on and working from home... but still resolved to finish this! Hope everyone is staying safe and hope you enjoy this chapter!

A part of her had hoped that things would feel wrong. That her and Miranda just don't fit anymore. Maybe between the hurt and heartache and carelessness, they lost their spark. That would have made sense, what are the chances of a reporter who just turned 30, at the beginning of her career, from Cincinnati, and.. Miranda Priestly, having chemistry?

But it felt right in every, single, way. As Andy placed her lips gently but intently on Miranda's, Miranda deepened the kiss and she couldn't help but thread her fingers through Miranda's silver locks. Their body became entangled and Andy felt like she was finally home. But eventually, Miranda pulled away.

"Does that mean you want to try?"

Andy tried to gauge how she was feeling and what she was thinking but had hard time as her body protested at the separation of her body from Miranda's.

"I don't know." The least she could do was be honest, "But I'd like to keep kissing you."

And so they kissed. More passionately this time. She slipped her hands through Miranda's arms around her waist and pressed her body close to Miranda's. Miranda's right hand slid up to her chin and then her neck. The side of Andy's neck, brushing Andy's left ear with her thumb, and then resting her warm palm on the back of Andy's neck.

And then, perhaps it was Miranda's flip of the tongue, it turned urgent. Suddenly, there were kisses everywhere. On the nape of their necks, under the jawlines, ear lobes, and wondering hands. They had moved from the foyer to the wall in the hallway, with Andy pinning Miranda against it, right next to one of her collection of famous oil paintings that cost probably more than Andy's entire net worth. Andy slid her leg in between Miranda's thighs and felt the inviting warmth.

"Can we... um... go upstairs?" She usually hated when Miranda interrupted her, but this time when Miranda kissed her in between words, she didn't mind so much.
