NOTE TO heather mcdaniels: I like him too, and when I was searching for what you said, did you know he was only in 3 episodes? 3! It felt like more. Maybe that's why I never got a great, fully understood feeling off of him, I didn't know him well enough. That's why I didn't pair him with Tara after 15 years, I don't know where they'd be, since we really don't know much about him. I think you're right about Planes Trains and Automobiles, so I'll give it to you!

WARNING: This chapter is a bit gory. I didn't mean for it to be, but if it was filmed, it wouldn't be as gory, cause with text you need to explain everything. So this is a warning to anyone who has a soft stomach (like me, lol). Hold your breath, and sorry if I make you sick! (I was making myself sick!)

?-?

Jack, Myles, Bobby and Josh left immediately to go investigate the blow up. That left the women alone.

"What, what are you doing here?" Tara asked, unsure of what to say.

"They called me for a case last week. We just finished up this morning." Stanley replied.

"Oh." She said.

"So, what's up?" He asked.

"Uh, well," she replied, her concentration skewed.

"We found these suspicious product reviews that we've decoded into secret messages. The bomb that went off on 267 was intended for Dulles Airport. We just couldn't figure out who was behind it yet." Mya quickly explained, seeing Tara stuttering.

Stanley smiled. "Move aside, and see an expert work his magic."

"Excuse me?" Tara replied, finding her voice as she watched him take over her desk.

He looked at her as he sat down. "I've been doing this for years. I think I know what I'm talking about."

"I've been doing this a long time too!" She exclaimed, her hands on her hips.

"Yes, but you're still on the same team. I do consulting now, travel all around the country. See all kinds of cases."

"Well, Mr. High-and-Mighty." Tara muttered to herself, walking away.

Sue quickly got up as Tara walked in her direction, blocking her from walking farther than her desk. "YOU OK YOU?"

Tara nodded. "YES. FINE."

"YOU SURE YOU?"

Tara nodded, then walked out of the room.

"So, what do you want to know?" Stanley asked Mya.

Mya gave him the information they had.

"I will have all the information you need within the hour." He replied.

"OK," she said quietly, not believing him, and continuing her work.

?-?

"FBI. What's going on?" Jack asked as they came onto the scene, flashing his badge at the local police officers that were blocking traffic on 267.

"Car just blew up. Debris went everywhere, but thankfully no one was killed, except for the people inside the van. There are some injuries, though." One of the policemen said.

Jack scanned the area. He saw people being helped to ambulances on standby, their cars stopped in a line, and in the center, the remains of part of a bottom half of a van, remnants of the van all over the scene. "Can we get identification on who was in the van?"

The policeman shook his head. "Sorry, they were blown to pieces. Nothing remains intact."

Josh squinted his eyes at the picture that came into his mind.

"You OK, mate?" Bobby asked, seeing Josh.

He quickly nodded, not opening his eyes. "Fine."

"We have a team picking up the pieces, and will send them to forensics. Maybe they can do a DNA test or something." The policeman continued.

"Send them to our forensics. This is our case." Jack replied, noticing a handful of people with gloves on picking up scraps of metal, cloth, and other things.

"We were the ones who answered to the call. This is our case. We need to figure out what happened. If it gets escalated to you, fine, but you have no claims to it."

"Yes I do." Jack replied, annoyed by the policeman's control. "This was done by someone under a case we just opened today. This is our case, not yours. They were headed to the airport."

The policeman opened his mouth to say something, but he was interrupted before he could do so.

"Let him have the case. This wasn't an accident." A man who seemed to be his supervisor said to him.

Jack gratefully smiled at him.

The policeman walked away.

"Sargent Dan Finch." The new officer said, shaking Jack's hand. "If we can be of service, please let us know."

Jack smiled. "Thanks. Just send us the remnants, and our team will check them. Hopefully they will be useful."

"I do too. These people shouldn't be on the streets, let alone highways." Dan replied.

"I think so too. That's what we intend to do." Jack replied.

?-?

"Whoa." Mya said, her eyes fixated on her computer screen.

"What did you find?" Sarah asked, getting up from her chair, and walking across the office to Mya's desk.

"A car blowing up in slow motion is so cool, and weird. And gross." She replied.

"Did I read her right?" Sue asked as she walked with Sarah to Mya. She noticed Sarah getting up, so she decided to follow her.

"Yep." Sarah nodded, looking strangely at Mya.

"Here, look at this!" Mya said, motioning for the two women to come and look.

They walked around to her desk, and watched the video feed from the highway cameras.

"That's disgusting." Sarah said, turning her head when she played it again.

"Yeah, but it is so interesting how all the pieces break apart, and fly all over." Mya replied.

Sue frowned as she looked at the slo-mo video. "Wait, can you zoom in on the van before it blows up?"

Mya frowned, but did what she was told.

"Here, look. The driver completely turns around, and it looked like he might've been screaming 'no' right before it blows up."

"Hey, yeah. Maybe I can zoom up and enhance this video for facial recognition. It's a long shot, but worth a try."

Sue nodded. "It looks like the bomb wasn't supposed to go off, and those people inside weren't supposed to die."

Mya nodded. "Yeah, so who was?"

?-?

Tara was hiding in the cafeteria. It was crowded, yet she felt completely alone and isolated. She didn't want to go back, yet she knew she had to. She took a deep breath, then exhaled. "I need to face him." She whispered to herself. It didn't help her feelings. She still didn't want to deal with it. "We worked so well before, why can't we again?" she said to herself. Without even saying anything, she knew exactly why. "But I have to. So be brave. You can do it." She said unconvincingly to herself. She got up. "Just go up and sit at your desk. Don't talk unless spoken to. Yes, that will work." She walked back to the bullpen, not even glancing at Stanley, yet she could feel him staring at her.

"You can't stay like that for long." He whispered as she sat down at her desk, right next to Stanley at a temporary desk connected to hers they had made.

"You think I can't?" she asked unemotionally.

"No." He replied.

"Well, I can." She replied, going to her work.

He frowned, then went back to his work. About 10 minutes later, he stood up and smiled. "I have information for you."
