TRIVIA: What movie is Staley referencing?

?-?

"There's a couple suggestive sentences, but nothing incriminating." Tara said, reviewing Jackie's texts with Jamil.

Jack nodded, then turned to Jackie. "Tell us how you met."

Jackie smiled. "It was about two months ago. He was at the Gallaudet dorm rooms. He was looking for a cousin or something, and he was lost. He asked me for help, and we found the room, but no one was home."

Tara waved her hand. "Do you remember the room?"

Jackie nodded. "Room 234. I thought it was funny, the numbers in order."

Tara nodded, already typing. "Continue."

"Well, when no one was home, he felt bad that I walked with him all that way, so he offered me a coffee and I accepted, and we went to the coffeeshop. We really hit it off."

"And he asked you out on a date?" Sue asked.

Jackie hesitated. "Well, no. He said his parents don't approve of him dating, so we would meet on campus, or if I was sure my parents weren't home, sometimes we'd study together. We are actually in two of the same classes, even though we go to two different schools. Same books and everything."

"What classes?" Jack asked.

"Bio 101 and chemistry 101."

"Tara, can you-"

"Already on it." She replied.

"He's always really nice, I can't see how he could do anything bad. He said he wants to take ASL next semester. He's 22, but he's still got a year left of school."

Sue frowned. "Wait, did you say 22?" she said and signed. Jackie nodded. She looked at Tara and they shared a look. According to Jamil's driver's license, he's 29.

"Where does he go to school?" Jack asked.

"Hillsdale college. It's not too far from Gallaudet."

"Alright, I have some information." Tara announced after a few more clicks. Everyone looked at her.

"Room 234 hasn't been occupied in several months. There was an ant infestation, and so the college sprayed the room right before the semester started, so no one was assigned the room."

"Maybe she moved because of that, and she forgot to tell him?" Jackie reasoned.

Tara shook her head. "The person who occupied the room was Savannah Grishom. She graduated last semester and moved back to Montana, where she was from."

"Wow, you guys are detailed." Jackie mumbled.

"About the age of Jamil. Come here, look." Tara said, moving her monitor so that Jackie would be able to see the image of his driver's license. Jackie walked over. "Here, see the DOB?"

"December 12th, 1990." Jackie read, then frowned. "That would make him 29?"

Tara nodded. "He lied to you about his age. And he was never registered at Hillsdale, and none of the same professors at Hillsdale use the same textbooks as Gallaudet. I tried every combination. None of them work." She sadly looked at the young woman, seeing anger rise within her. Giving her proof was really working.

Jackie boldly walked up to Jack. "Tell me what I need to do and I will put this lying cheat in jail."

?-?

It was now time to go home. Sue smiled as she walked up to Jack's desk as she put on her coat. Sunny was taking her own leash off the coat hanger as well.

Jack looked up and smiled. "What?"

"I told you that if we gave her information she would help us."

Jack laughed. "Yes, you were right. We just need to know why he picked her. Was it because he just wanted a date, or was it for a bigger purpose?"

Sue shrugged. "Maybe when Jackie comes back tomorrow to call Jamil to set up a time to meet she can get some information."

Jack nodded. "Let's hope."

"You going home?" Sue asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah." He replied, getting up to grab his own jacket.

"I-we were hoping we could have a strong man escort us to the pet store. Neither Sunny or I can carry that heavy dog food bag, and we were hoping someone could do it for us." She gave him her best puppy dog look. Sunny did as well.

Jack laughed. "Alright. I'll follow you."

Sue slightly jumped. "Yay!" she exclaimed as she grabbed Sunny's leash. "Let's go!" she exclaimed as the trio left the room.

"Hey, you mind if you drop me off at home? I gave Maddy my car so that she could take Gaby home and get out of our hair." Mya said to Josh.

He looked up and smiled. "Sure, on one condition."

She smiled as well. "What?"

"That I take you to dinner beforehand."

Mya smiled widely. "It's a deal."

He smiled as he got up to grab his coat.

"You know, you can go home." Stanley said to Tara, who was still typing away.

"I still have work to do." She said, not breaking from her typing.

He sighed as he put on his coat. "Alright, but remember, we need you fresh in the morning. You are key to this case."

"I know." She relied, not fully hearing what he said.

"And bubblegum is planning to fall tomorrow afternoon, so make sure you bring an umbrella."

"I will." She replied.

Stanley laughed as he left the room.

Once everyone was gone, Tara looked around the quiet office. "Just what I needed." She whispered to herself.

Just then, her phone rang. She looked at it. It was Patty again. "Just what I didn't need." She grumbled. Patty tried several more times, and finally, Tara just put her into her 'do-not-call' list so she didn't have to hear her phone anymore. "There. That's better." She said, then went back to her typing through the night. About an hour later, she looked up. "Bubblegum?"

?-?

Sue laughed as they walked down the aisle to the dog food bags. "Have I told you how glad we are that you came?"

Jack chuckled. "Yes, you have, about 10 times already."

"Good! Now here's the bag." Sue replied, pointing to the largest dog kibble bag on the shelves.

Jack looked at it with wide eyes. "That has to be 100 pounds!"

Sue smiled and shook her head. "No, it's only 55 pounds."

He glared at her. "Thanks a lot. Big difference."

"Well, it is 45 pounds less." She countered, toying with him.

He just rolled his eyes.

"Well? Are you going to put it in the cart?"

He nodded, prepared to lift the bag, and put it in the cart. "Alright, let's go." He said, starting to walk down the aisle to the checkout counter.

"Oh! I must have forgotten to mention, they're on sale, buy one, get one 50% off." She smiled widely.

He turned around and sighed. "Second one coming up."

Sue smiled widely. "Thank you!"

After the second one was successfully in the cart, they walked to go checkout.

"Isn't this fun, Sunny?" Sue said to the golden that was sniffing the bags as the cashier was scanning them.

"Real fun." Jack mumbled to Sue's back. He then looked at her and smiled. Even though she was teasing him, he still loved it, and loved her.

After they had checked out and he put the bags in her car, he turned to her. "Alright, I will see you tomorrow." He said to her, then started walking to his car, which was right next to hers. It wasn't too cold, but it was starting to snow.

"Wait! You don't want your payment for helping me?"

He quickly wheeled around. "Payment?"

Sue smiled, walking up to him and giving him a quick kiss.

After the kiss, he smiled. "Now that made it worth it. Next time you need dog food, you just let me know."

Sue chuckled. "I just might take you up on that offer, but I also have another job for you tonight."

He sighed. "Now what?" he complained.

"If you don't want to eat Mom's pie, that's fine by me." She said, turning to put Sunny in the backseat.

He quickly put his hand on her shoulder. "Who said I didn't want pie?"

She smiled. "Alright. See you at home. Besides, I need someone to take these into the garage."

He laughed and nodded, then quickly went into his car. Once inside, he smiled. It was a pretty good night.
