TRIVIA: Here's a sort-of tricky one. The guy who plays Stanley was in something where the song that Tara is listening to plays (clue: it involves a knight in shining armor on a white horse-literally). As you might be able to tell, I LOVE Brooke's music. It is so powerful, and I love the hidden meanings behind the songs. When I was picking and copying the lyrics for Tara to listen to, I realized this song is talking about being lukewarm, and that she wants to be burning with Jesus' spirit. Of course, I use it in the sense that she's literally talking about 'love' and how she wants to have a true love that never dies (when she is, but it's Jesus' love, not human love), and that is how the thing I'm referring to references it as well, love itself. They didn't nitpick the song as I just have done, lol.

?-?

"Tara?"

She slowly opened her eyes, and unraveled herself from laying her head on her crossed arms. She turned towards the sound that awoke her and blinked quickly. "Caleb?"

He nodded. "I thought after I found out my Mom talked to you, I should explain."

"You don't need to explain anything. Your breakup on the phone was explanation enough." She replied, turning away.

"No, you need to hear the rest of it." He said as he walked a few steps towards her.

"Why?" she asked, her eyes already red from fighting back tears.

"Because what I did wasn't right."

"I think we all know that already." She replied.

"Could you please hear me out? For all the fun times we've had?"

She sighed, then gave in. "Alright."

He slightly smiled, then went over and sat in the chair that Stanley sits in. She started hysterically laughing. "What's so funny?" he asked, not understanding.

She shook her head, but still laughed hard. "Never mind." She calmed herself down.

He looked at her, thinking how to start the conversation. "About 10 years ago, I met this girl. She was wonderful, we were really in love. She was a filmmaker as well, and we really enjoyed collaborating together. I decided that I wanted to spend my life with her, so I asked her to marry me, and she accepted. We were so happy. Our families were happy. Everything was going great, until." He stopped, looking down at the floor.

"Until?" Tara asked, knowing what he was going to say.

"Until, on our wedding day, she walked out of the church, seconds before we were going to say I do. I was heartbroken, but I got over it. I met another woman, and fell in love with her. Not as much as Becca, but enough to ask her to marry me. We actually did. Until a year later, when she said we didn't fit together anymore."

"Caleb, I'm so sorry, I didn't know any of this."

He shook his head. "It's OK. I usually don't tell anyone any of this. I shouldn't've married her, but I did. I set myself up for heartache."

"It's not your fault!"

He shook his head. "Yes, yes it is. I set myself up to not trust anyone." He smiled widely. "When I met you, I felt like I was with Becca again, we fit so well together. It felt so good, so right. And Christmas was amazing." He frowned. "It was after you left I realized this, and I panicked. I thought of what happened with me and Becca, so I broke it off."

She nodded. "I understand."

"Will you get back together with me, then?" he asked, hopeful.

Just before she was going to give her response, she heard someone come in.

"Tara, are you still here?" Stanley said, walking in. She looked at him.

"No, Caleb. I can't. It hurt me so much, I don't think I can go back to what it was before."

Caleb eyed Stanley. "Is it because of him?" He whispered.

Tara looked back at Stanley, who was confused as to what was going on. She nodded, then looked back at Caleb. "You know what, it is. Thank you." She turned back to Stanley. "To both of you."

They both frowned at her, totally confused. "Huh?" Stanley asked.

"Caleb, meet Stanley, my ex-husband. Stanley, meet Caleb, my ex-boyfriend." She backed up a bit. "Both times, I thought each of you were the one. But it turns out I was wrong." Tears were falling, and Tara didn't care.

"Tara, I told you, I was sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." Caleb tried to explain.

She shook her head. "No, it's OK. I don't think it was ever meant to be, both times."

"I never meant to hurt you, we just drifted apart." Stanley said, still confused about her outburst.

She smiled through her tears. "I know. I felt it. I didn't like it, but I knew it was coming, and I didn't know what to do about it. It's not your fault, and it's not mine, but I still blame myself."

"Tara, you shouldn't." Stanley replied, concerned for her.

"I know, but I do. And I think I need to be alone right now." With that, she ran out of the room. She ran blindly, and eventually found herself in the garage, next to her car. Luckily, she had her keys in her pocket, so she was able to turn on the car. The radio turned on as well, and when she heard the song, she started crying into the steering wheel.

"Love, where is your fire? I've been sitting here smoking away

Making signals with sticks and odd ends and bits,

But still there's no sign of a flame

Imposters have been passing, offering a good-feeling glow

But I'm holding out for what you are about - an inferno that burns to the bone

Some urge me to be temperate, lukewarm will never do"

(song: Love, Where Is Your Fire? By Brooke Fraser.)

As Bobby was walking into work, he noticed Tara's car was on. He walked to her window and looked in. He saw her crying. He knocked on the window, and she looked up with tearstained eyes. "You OK?" he asked through the window. She shook her head. He looked at her for a second, then motioned for her to open the passenger door on the other side. Bobby walked around and got in. Immediately after he got settled, she leaned over to his shoulder and started sobbing.

"It's OK." He whispered.
