NOTE TO roban05: they really didn't have a choice. It was that, or nothing. Of course, no one wanted it, but what could they do?
NOTE: Again, I know the sign, just not the one-word English equivalent. So I put it in with the only words I know that makes sense. Sometimes I know exactly the sign, but I don't know the English equivalent, which sometimes can be annoying when I write it out here (I can describe the sign to you! It's a bent b, touching the chest twice, moving from the right side, to the left side [I'm a left-handed signer. Flip it for a rightie ;) ] ). Also, the (many) is her signing the sign for ask many times. There's no sign in between them to write it in English. At least as far as I know.
NOTE 2: Of course, I made up the character mentioned at the end :)
?-?
Troy was working on one of the cars when he saw the light blinking. He looked over and saw two men, waved at them to acknowledge them, and went to a towel to wipe his hands. Once he finished, he walked over to them.
"ME HELP YOU?" he signed. One of the men handed him a small notepad with words already written on it. Once he read it, he looked up, a shocked look on his face. Once the men knew that he understood, they discreetly stood in two separate corners, standing guard until the team came.
?-?
A bit later, Sue, Jack, Mya and Bobby pulled into the gas station.
When Troy saw them get out of the car, he quickly jogged up to Sue and Mya. "WHAT'S UP?" he asked worriedly.
"(group of us) LOOK FOR MAN. LATER HE STOP HERE, HE ASK YOU (many) QUESTION. US-4 WANT KNOW BEFORE HIM." Mya signed.
Troy nodded. "OK." He then led them to the back of the garage, to a break room. There was a couch and two chairs in the room, but various items were tossed around the room, including on the couch and chairs, so Troy quickly tossed everything in the corner.
Mya frowned as she looked around. She then waved for Troy's attention. "I THINK MADDY HELP YOU CLEAN FINISH?" she signed, knowing that helping Troy in his tidiness both with the books and the cleanliness of the garage was part of her job.
Troy embarrassedly smiled. "SORRY. MADDY BUSY UP FRONT. BACK HERE IN A WHILE NOT."
"WHEN?" Mya asked.
He embarrassedly looked away. "MONDAY."
She stared at him in disbelief as he took a seat, as did everyone else. "Men!" she exclaimed sort-of quietly as she plopped down on the couch.
"Hey! What did that mean?" Bobby asked, hearing her as he took to the other chair.
"Look at this place! In two days, he's managed to mess it up! Why can't guys keep things neat?" Mya complained.
"Hey, don't put us all in the same category, Sheila."
"Oh, don't Sheila me." Mya mumbled.
"Alright, guys, how about we talk about what we came here for?" Jack asked, trying to keep the group together.
Sue's eyes darted around the room, but didn't catch what was going on. "Is there something I'm missing?" she asked.
Jack, who was next to Sue on the couch, touched her shoulder. "No, you don't want to know." He replied with a laugh, signing as well.
Once everyone settled down, Sue explained what was going on.
"ME DO-DO?" Troy asked after her explanation.
"NAMES PEOPLE THEIR CARS YOU GIVE US. MAYBE US-4 FIND PERSON, KNOW DO-DO." Sue replied.
Troy nodded, then quickly got up and left the room. About a minute later, he reappeared, a few sheets of paper in his hand.
"I have 3 cars I'm working on right now." Sue interpreted. "First, for Bonnie Copleski, second, for Lyle Grissom, and third, for Ken Orangeo."
"Uh oh." Jack said as he heard and saw the names.
Sue noticed the worried look on Jack's face. "What's wrong?"
"Kenneth Kane is the Florida senator. His nickname is The Orange Man. He grew up on an orange farm, and the name has stuck over the years."
"Wow," Sue replied.
"We need to find out where The Orange Man is now, and where he is heading to today." Bobby replied, getting up and pulling out his phone.
Jack nodded, watching Bobby walk out of the room, already talking on the phone. "Yeah, and we need to place something in this garage to catch these guys." He looked around the room, then stopped on Mya.
"What?" she asked, noticing that he was staring at her.
"Your signing is really good. Think you could pass for a Deaf person?"
"What?!" Mya exclaimed.
