At 4:00 PM, Jackie nervously stood outside, waiting for Jamil. She didn't have to wait long, he was right on time. Once he stopped, she got in the passenger seat. "So where are we going?" she asked once they were on their way.
He smiled. "I thought we promised not to ask questions?"
"Yeah, sorry. Just curious." She replied.
"You'll find out soon enough." He replied as he kept on driving. Soon, they were at Troy's garage. Jackie watched as Jamil pulled in the back, where a few other cars were parked. Once they had stopped, Jamil got out, and Jackie followed suit. Everyone else in the cars got out as well.
"Ready?" One of the men asked Jamil. Jamil nodded, pulling out a gun from his pocket.
Jackie noticed this and ran over to him. "What are you doing?" she loudly whispered.
"What did I tell you?" He said, a cold look in his eyes. It was a look she had never seen before in him. He then turned towards the back garage entrance.
Jackie sighed, knowing that she had to follow him, otherwise the outcome wouldn't be pretty. She followed slowly behind, and when she got to the main part of the garage, she found everyone, and Jamil pointing the gun at Troy.
Jamil saw Jackie, and so he turned towards her. She looked at him, fear clearly in her eyes. "Tell him that he needs to do what we say, or I'll shoot."
Jackie signed what he said. Troy nodded in understanding.
The men heard clanging from underneath a car, and only then noticed a pair of legs sticking out from underneath the car.
"Who's that?"
"My assistant. She's Deaf too." Jackie interpreted.
"When'd he get her?"
"Two days ago."
"Hrm." Jamil replied, walking up to the feet, and gently kicking one shoe. The person quickly wheeled out from under the car.
"WHAT'S UP?" Mya signed, acting completely confused, her eyes darting around the room.
Jackie's eyes grew wide, recognizing Mya, but quickly composed herself.
"What'd she say?" Jamil asked Jackie.
"She, uh, asked what was going on."
"Tell her we need to talk to her boss. Privately."
Jackie signed what Jamil said.
"She says she has some work to do in the corner over there. She will stay over there and be quiet."
Jamil pursed his lips, but he looked where she was referencing. It was an area that was mostly blocked by a few things, so she shouldn't be able to see many signs, if any. "Alright. But she has to stay there."
"She promises."
"Good." Jamil said, walking back to Troy, and Mya scurrying to the corner.
"Tell him he worked on a car for Ken Orangeo. He is uh, a friend of ours."
Jackie signed what Jamil said, then turned back to Jamil for more.
"We're uh, friends with him, and have a surprise for him. If he'll just lead us to his car, we will leave it, and be on our way."
Troy nodded, eyed the gun, then led them to a car near where the undercover Mya was.
Mya eyed them, but stayed hidden enough that they couldn't see her press a button on the bottom of the counter she was working at. She watched as one of the guys pulled down one of the backseats, and started carefully gluing a box onto the back of the seat. She discreetly pulled out her gun and slowly walked to be in perfect shot line with the backseat applying person.
"You know, I don't agree with what you are doing." She said loud enough for everyone to hear.
Jamil quickly started flailing his gun around, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Mya replied, her arms extended, gun in her hand.
Jamil finally found her, hiding behind the other side of the car.
"You know, I agree with her, mate. She's fierce with a gun. I've seen her practice." Bobby said as he and the rest of the team slowly and quietly walked into the side door of the garage.
Jamil's eyes grew wide, the gun flailing around.
"Come on, hand over the gun." Jack said, his right hand on the trigger of his own, but his left outstretched.
"N-no. This country needs to learn a lesson! And I won't stop!" he yelled, slowly walking backwards towards the back door, where they originally came in, flailing the gun. Once he started down the hallway, he bumped into Myles and Josh. Myles grabbed his arms, Jamil releasing the gun onto the floor. Jack quickly ran to grab the gun, still eyeing Jamil.
Within a few seconds, backup came in and took away Jamil and his friends. Sue walked in from the outside, where she was waiting for clearance. The only people left in the garage was Troy, Jack, Sue, Mya and Jackie. Jackie started crying fiercely, and Mya ran over to pull her into a hug. "It's OK." She whispered, even though she knew Jackie couldn't hear her. She led her into the back, where the couch was. If she was to cry, at least it would be comfortably.
"Well, we've wrapped that one up." Jack said to Sue, coming up to her.
"But why did he do it?" she asked.
Jack shook his head, thinking as his eyes unseeingly watched Bobby take the bomb out of the senator's car. "I don't know. But why does anybody do anything we see? It's either a very dumb reason, or a very convoluted one. We will find out soon enough."
Sue nodded in response. "Yes, I guess we will."
