In between classes I search for answers as to why she's here.
Unsurprisingly she was rumored to have injured her former classmates in the middle of a chemistry lesson.
I sit with her during lunch, much to Nagisa's apparent dislike.
"Are the rumors about you true? Did you really throw acid on your peers?"
"Of course they are. I'm here, aren't I?"
I had guessed that the rumors weren't so far from the truth. After seeing that on the hillside I was sure.
She was crazy and dangerous.
Someone perfect for what I had in mind if she'd follow my command.
"Then you hate them too. Just like me you want revenge."
"You say revenge, I say.. recognition."
Fame, a shallow desire I can work with. Pulling the strings won't be difficult.
Especially when her companion is so intent on staying with her.
"And you, Nagisa?"
"Well I don't want this to be a boring year."
He shares a glance with Manami and she reaches for his arm.
I don't miss the small tremor that goes through Nagisa when she brushes over the wound on his arm.
"Comrades?"
Though neither of them look at me they answer together.
"Comrades."
