CONGRATULATIONS phyl7375! Yep!

NOTE TO JeanneJam: lol, perfect for Mother's day, yes, but no. Not with their history. Remember, they're not really talking. Who is she talking to that applies?

?-?

Thursday morning, Sue came into a busy bullpen. "What's going on?" she asked Jack as she put her coat on the hanger.

He looked up. "Oh, just trying to finalize the case before the weekend. Just tying up loose ends, you know?" he then smiled, got up, and stood in front of her desk. "Your request for vacation tomorrow has been approved."

Sue frowned as she sat down. "Did I read you right?"

He repeated what he said in sign.

"But I didn't ask for tomorrow off." She replied, confused.

"But I did. I needed you to be off."

"Why?" she asked.

"Don't you know what tomorrow is?"

"Yeah, Friday the 14th." She replied, still oblivious.

"February 14th." Jack replied, trying to lead her into what was going on the next day.

"Oh!" she replied, finally understanding.

"I have a little something special planned."

"You do?" she replied, smiling.

He nodded.

"Now I can't wait for tomorrow!" she replied excitedly. "What can I do to help get this case finalized?"

Jack smiled. "Not much, besides paperwork. I think we've got everyone, since there isn't any more chatter on those hidden reviews. We've interrogating them, and they said there aren't anyone else in their immediate group, and I think they're telling the truth. Jamil is pretty smart technologically, but not really regarding the manufacture of bombs, or anything of the like. He said the person who built it was an expert, and he died in the explosion on the highway."

"Oh yeah, What about the initial bombing in that van? Did you find anything else out?" Sue asked.

Jack nodded. "The target was the airport, gratefully, they never arrived. Saved thousands of lives. This might sound horrible, but I think God killed them to save everyone else."

That's not horrible. He saved so many people's lives by taking a few. I know that was His will, and I'm grateful to Him for it. If God let the bombing happen, who knows if we would've been able to catch Jamil and his friends in time to save the senator."

"Mhm, yeah." He smiled at her. "Thanks."

"For what?" she asked.

"For always seeing the brighter side. I would've never thought like that."

She smiled. "You're welcome."

Bobby happily smiled as he did his paperwork.

"What's up with you." Myles muttered, seeing the happy look on his teammate.

"Nothing." He happily said.

"It is something, and it's annoying.

He looked at Myles. "Alright. I'll tell you. I'm surprising Darcy with a surprise visit for Valentine's Day tomorrow. I'm leaving right after work."

"Sorry I asked." Myles muttered.

"How about you? Visiting with Cathi tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow, ugh." He whispered, then got up and walked out of the room.

"What's up with him?" Bobby asked, his smile fading.

Josh just shrugged. "You know Myles. He's in one of his moods."

"Hey," Sarah said, walking up to Tara.

"Hey." Tara replied, looking up from her computer.

"It's good to have you back."

"Mmm." Tara replied.

"I was thinking, you want to go shopping tomorrow? I need a good shopping fix."

"Don't you have some magical plans with Drew?"

"No, he's staying in Minnesota. I'm all alone."

"Boo hoo to you." Tara muttered.

"Hey! Just because you don't have someone doesn't mean you can be mean to someone who does!"

Tara looked up, regret in her eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm still recovering from all my worlds colliding."

Sarah smiled again. "That's why you need a shopping spree. Maybe a new dress, or a new hairstyle? And definitely a good, sinfully decadent dinner."

Tara laughed.

"With as much chocolate as you can eat!" Sarah added

She laughed harder. "Alright."

Sarah smiled, then went back to her desk.

?-? LISTEN TO: the last part of I'll Wait For You by Moriah Peters

Jack was humming a song that he had listened to a long time ago, but the song resurfaced in his brain when he started planning this special Valentine's Day, their first together as a couple. He had waited so long, and now that the day was almost here, he couldn't wait any longer. "Just 12 more hours." He whispered to himself as he shopped for the last of the items he needed. Once finished, he checked out and drove home, still humming the song. "She's going to love it."
