When Rose Petals Fall

Chapter 5

"Are you sure you want to do this?" her mother asked putting the car in park as she stared at the school before them the fear flashing across her mother's face.

"I'm going to have to go back at some point and I want to show all of them that he hasn't broke me."

"If you need to come home at any point today, just give me a call. As is I'm taking you out during lunch. I don't need you to interact with him anymore than you have to."

"Alright mom. I'll see you after school."

"I love you." She said giving her a hug as tight as she could.

"I love you too." She replied squeezing harder.

"Try to have a good day sweetheart."

"I'll try. No promises though."

Leaving the car, Elena made her way up the stairs of the school and took a deep breath as she pulled open the doors feeling like every eye in that place was on her as she tugged her sleeves down to cover the bruises hoping that her foundation covered the ones on her face.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, Elena finally reached her locker hurryingly putting in her combination and grabbing her books as the voice that sent a vile to her stomach spoke. Shit. She didn't think she would have to deal with him so soon.

"Hello, Elena. Where did you go? I didn't see you after I left the room last night." He taunted as she slammed the locker and came face to face with her assailant. Malakai Parker. Kai for short.

"Go fuck yourself." She spat slamming her locker door and trying to get by as he grabbed her arm squeezing it hard and pinning her to her locker. Fuck. Was anyone going to help her?

"Oh, come on Elena. Don't stand there and act like you didn't enjoy last night as much as I did."

"Where in your sick, twisted mind, made you think I enjoyed that? Because it wasn't the bruises all over my body or me screaming for you to stop."

"From what I could tell you wanted it as much as I did. And your screams, well, I take them as a compliment."

"You're disgusting. You know that?"

"Sticks and stones Gilbert but be careful about what rumors you're spreading. I would hate to climb in your window late at night and have my way with you again." He laughed touching her face as she smacked his hand away.

"Have a nice day Elena." He smiled as he made his way down the hallway making her wonder if her life will ever be the same again.
