The Unexpected Letter

Disclaimer: I don't own Super Smash Bros. Nintendo does.

Last time I looked, no one had done this idea, so I thought I would do it.

Master Hand, in his human form, who took the name of Cyrus in this form, sat at his desk, looking his emails, for anything important, just the usual boring emails. Leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes for a moment before opening them again. The next tournament was nearly upon them. The newcomers, and old veterans set for the roster, with only a few spots left for him to fill. He looked over at Crazy Hand, who took the name Firmus in human form, who was designing the new items that they would use, and other things that were his realm of responsibilities. "How is it coming on your end, brother?"

"Very well, brother, take a look," Firmus said, as he turned the monitor towards him.

"That Fake Smash Ball, it could only come from a mind such as yours, brother." Cyrus remarked. Firmus laughed lightly at that compliment. "You are going to make them distrustful of everything, aren't you?"

"Maybe I am, brother, maybe I am." Firmus said, almost cryptically.

"Also, Majora's Moon?" Cyrus asked. Firmus's only response was smug eyes and a smirk on his face.

"Mail's here," CH said, noticing the pelican.

"Hey, Pete, what you got for us?" Cyrus asked, accepting the pile of envelopes.

"Just the usual stuff that comes around this time every tournament." Pete said, before leaving.

With a wave of his hand, Cyrus had separated the mail into several stacks, and handed Firmus his stack. With another wave of his hand, he further separated them into immediate rejection, assist trophies and a small pile of possible newcomers. Setting the other piles aside, he worked through the newcomer pile, until he got the last one. Upon seeing the return address on it, Cyrus took his reading glasses off, and looked up at nothing muttering to himself "I have been waiting for this letter since the first tournament." Opening it, he began to read it.

Here follows, what the letter said, in somewhat of an almost illegible handwriting:

Dear Master Hand,

We write to you that we would like to enter for a chance to participate in the Super Smash Brothers tournament. It has been to long since we have seen our old friends, and we feel that is time to rekindle old friendships, and that you were the being that could most likely make that happen. Would love to hear from you, or at least our old friends. Please write back to us soon if you can.

Signed, Banjo and Kazooie

Cyrus set the letter down after reading it, tears of joy in his eyes. Firmus looked over at him, "Brother?" Cyrus did not respond, he turned in his chair to the safe that he kept behind his desk and opened it, withdrawing the item inside.

Cyrus, somewhat lost in thoughts, asked "Do you know what this is?"

"Yes, I do. It is an incredibly special invitation. Wait a minute, does that mean?" Firmus asked, catching on to what was happening.

"Yes, yes it does." Cyrus said, still out of it a bit.

"So, the prodigal son and daughter return to us, at long last." Firmus said

"Yes, indeed." Cyrus got up to go mail the invitation. A week later, when the bear and bird duo showed up at the Manor, everyone when bananas.

If you are wondering as to why Master and Crazy hand have the names they do, Cyrus is from the leader of Team Galactic who wanted to create a new universe, and since master Hand is the spirit of Creation, makes sense to me. As for Crazy Hand, I decided to use Admiral Piett's first name from Star Wars, why, I can't remember ant it just stuck. I use these names since I feel that is easier than writing their full tittles every time, and it is better than just using MH and CH to refer to them, in my opinion.

The Emperor is out. Peace
