Aido hurried to the window, opened it, and hastily swung a leg over the window ledge. He was about to jump when the sound of shattering glass and an incredibly alluring scent reached him. His instinct took over, turning his eyes a fearsome red. The Vampire ducked out of sight of his victim, squeezing himself under her bed by the wall, hidden in the shadows. He stilled and watched as she came back into the room, looking wildly about and sucking on bloodied fingers. The predator in him relishing his victim's scent as she moved to the window, coming dangerously close to the unknown menace.

The girl peered out the open window cautiously, looking this way and that. The grounds appeared peaceful and quiet, displaying no signs of potential danger, but appearances could, so easily, be deceiving. She quickly closed and latched the window, drawing the curtains forcefully and then walked to the door, turning the latch and flicking out the light. Just what the thirsty Vampire had been waiting for.

He let go of the panic of being caught and the consequences his actions would bring and moved from his hiding place to capture his prize. He seized both of her wrists and forced the girl face-first against the wall in the darkened room. He heard her yelp of surprise and fear at the sudden touch of his cold hands. He delighted in the spike it caused in her scent, sending her heart racing thrice its normal rate, almost in time with her gasping breaths.

"Please, please don't!" Tears stung her eyes as she whispered her please, trembling uncontrollably in his grasp. Aido breathed in the scent of her fresh blood still running from the small cuts on her fingers. He stroked his nose against her neck, relishing the brush of her hair against his face. The sheer terror in her voice finally registered in his ears, pulling him from his fantasies. Without his blood tablets, it was difficult to reign himself in, but he wasn't some lowly Level E. He was able to instruct the girl in his grasp to relax, which would help him in his desperate attempt to control his bloodlust long enough to leave her unharmed.

"Stop moving, Nakamura," he ordered, causing his prize to freeze only to push back at him, shouting angrily over her shoulder.
"Aido Hanabusa! How dare you! Let me go right now! What the hell are you doing in my room?!"
"I said stop struggling. Now, shut up, you're only making me worse," he growled, once again, annoyed by her lack of awareness of Vampires and their nature, which was more compelling with him now, due to her freshly spilt blood.

He was mindful, however, of the unwanted attention the Human's yelling could attract, so, he made sure to press himself firmly against her back, pushing her against the wall, making it difficult for her to fight against him while he covered her mouth to muffle her protests. With her fighting proving as useless as her yelling, Aido buried his nose back in the girl's hair and neck, his eyes practically rolling in anticipation for a taste of his prey.

Akane eventually managed to shake her face away from her intruder's hand and angrily spat her displeasure at him.
"If you don't let me go right now, I'm…!"
"If you don't shut up and stop moving right now…" Aido interrupted her, his voice a dangerously soft and silky tone, causing a fearful cold sweat to break out over Akane's skin. "I'll hurt you." She stopped struggling at once. Her anger, quickly replaced by fear as Aido continued to nuzzle her neck, stroking sharp points over her delicate skin, almost seeming to dare himself to sink them deep into her flesh.

Her ragged breathing slowed as she forced herself to calm down, but with those sharp objects gently grazing her neck, it was difficult not to scream, let alone quell her fear enough to listen to her captor and do as instructed. She was, at least thankful he wasn't covering her mouth anymore.

"What do you want?" She trembled, though she'd tried to keep it from showing in her voice. Aido spun her, still holding her wrists firmly and pressed her back against the wall to stop any attempt to fight him before the disorientated feeling of being spun so suddenly left her. Akane's eyes widened as she looked up at her captor. His eyes shone in the darkness as red as rubies, sharp, elongated canines, which hadn't been there before, were just visible through his parted lips.

He was so close she could feel and smell his breath on her face as he stared her down.
"Aido, your eyes…!" she tried but she was quickly cut off by the boy.
"Just be quiet!" he growled, dropping his head on her shoulder with a grimace. Akane stilled again, stopping her attempts to twist her wrists free of his vice-like grip and willing her heart to calm and her breathing to slow.

Eventually, once they sensed they were each breathing more steadily, the pair relaxed further. Aido lifted his head, his blue eyes still stained red as he stared at the most tempting meal he'd never have. He released her, stepping back and giving her space, hoping it would lessen her feeling of being threatened. He rubbed his painfully dry throat in a futile attempt to soothe his thirst, and again, cursed himself for his ego and stupidity for not bringing his blood tablets.

Akane watched the boy with the unnatural eyes, struggle with obvious pain in his throat. She was still pressed against the wall but watched him with a confused yet, concerned expression. His breathing was becoming rough again, sat on Miu's beds, still pawing at his throat. The silence, at this point, had stretched on for minutes and was almost deafening in the quiet of the room.

Akane took a tentative step towards Aido while making sure to keep her movements slow, like approaching a wounded animal.
"Aido?" she called to him as she took yet, another step. Aido pinched the bridge of his nose hard and squeezing his eyes tightly shut, trying to ignore the urge to grab the slowly advancing girl and take what he needed to quench his thirst.
"You're still bleeding," his muffled voice said from behind his hands, still held against his face.

Akane looked down at her cut fingers where some of the cuts had been deeper than others and were still bleeding. She turned towards the bathroom and pushed open the door. She ran her fingers under the cold-water tap, applying pressure with paper towels. She tried to see Aido in the mirror, but the angle wouldn't allow it. It took only a few moments for the bleeding to stop. When it did, Akane carefully gathered the broken shards of glass from the sink and floor, wrapped them in paper towels, and placed them in the bin.

"Do you need something to…?" She had been about to ask if he needed water when she walked back into her room, but Aido was gone. Akane opened her bedroom door (which now stood unlocked) and peered up and down the deserted corridor. There was no sign of Aido in the dimly lit hallway and no footsteps or creaks from the stairs to tell her where he'd gone. She closed the door and locked it, then went back to bed and hid under her cosy, purple covers, too frightened and confused to sleep. Those eyes...
