Awkward was the morning for the group closing in on Kakashi's last location as they trailed the path of destruction, some with silence while certain kunoichi soared through the trees with pride and joy that their first night together was most enjoyable, while a certain immortal kept a safe distance for his own well-being. The sun was beaming against grey clouds which left said morning in a more sulky fashion for Sin as he watched Tsume and Anko with a more critical look like he should have done in the beginning. He could still feel the desire and need in his loins, but his mind and heart easily overpowered the feeling with the reminder of waking up to find himself with those two using themselves to blanket his entire form. Like every day they saw him, albeit with more fervor today, the two bold women kept exchanging dirty smiles at the man for giving their butts a tight yet most desired squeeze during his sleep and when he woke up.
"I hate today." He sulked, sighing to himself as he redirected his mind to Kurenai being the only woman that actually kept some decency when she slept with him.
Sin didn't actually mind that the red-eyed woman let him use her lap as a pillow throughout their sleep, but the fact that she kept upright and still during his slumber made him worry that she might have given herself a sore back. If she did have said soreness she was very good at hiding it by responding normally or smiling on random occasions during their run deeper into the wave country.
As the sun shone between cracks in the clouds, one shack came into view, and then a certain teenager with a chip on his shoulder was walking back inside with a bowl and cloth in hand while his teammate continued to pester or admire him annoyingly.
"It's duckbutt and monkey!" Naruto shouted, grabbing their attention while Sin and his fellow adults snickered at how Sasuke and Sakura heard those insults and responded as they usually do, with a scoff from him and screaming from Sakura.
"Looks like we got here before things got worse." Sin said to everyone, not that it mattered since they all shared the same disdain towards towards team seven.
The group came to halt at the steps with Sakura trying to punch Naruto for calling her a monkey, but the response he gave her during his training weeks ago came again but with a more painful consequence and hindsight still being the same with everyone sighing at how incapable Sakura was as a kunoichi. Sasuke was rather glad that the blond he despises grabbed her fist and lazily tossed her into a tree, causing her to crash and form a large bump on her head. Unfortunately it resulted with her whining to Sasuke that Naruto hurt her, but everyone was too bright to be tricked by a child that couldn't escape out of a house that had an open doorway.
"That felt good." Naruto commented with a smile, pretending to dust any dirt or trash he got from touching Sakura's hand. Hinata was also glad that her boyfriend was so over the pink ninja, but she was wished he had more sensible methods of dodging whatever the howling monkey threw at him.
"Sasuke, go inform your sensei that we're here to aid you in your mission." Anko ordered, although she didn't need to since the man at hand suddenly came out of the door using crutches and trying to give his signature smile to his fellow ninja.
Sasuke simply scoffed at the woman and proceeded to walk away, muttering under his breath that uchiha give orders, not follow them. If Sin hadn't been around that would've been unheard. However, being an immortal with generations of experience and powerful magic gave him an acute sense of hearing that surpassed even dogs. Sin wasn't alone though, he turned to see that Tsume's canine friend, Kuromaru, heard it as well and growled at the boy walking away to probably brood some more.
Sin thought he would get away with, but that deep inkling of respect and authority skinned his mind and he stepped forward to stop the boy with a firm hand on his shoulder and force him to turn around.
"Hey," Sin said in low tone, kneeling to Sasuke's eye level with a menacing, demonic gaze that terrified the boy in an instant. "I don't give a shit who you are. Respect your elders and do as your told, or I'll tie you to a branch by your ballsack and beat you like a pinata for candy."
Sasuke didn't respond until the hand squeezing his shoulder tightened and he felt the collarbone on the verge of snapping in half. He knew that by the end of today he was going to have a large bruise on him.
"Got it?" Sin growled, getting a nod from the boy.
He pretended to smile warmly before patting the boy's head and turn away to find out what has happened. "Good boy."
"Well I see that explanations are in order." Kakashi started, holding up a crutch for everyone to see. "As you can see in my current condition, I suffered chakra exhaustion from using my sharingan too much during my fight with Zabuza Momochi."
"Zabuza Momochi?" Naruto questioned with a tilt of his head, receiving his answer from Tsume.
"He's one of the legendary seven swordsman of the mist, also known as the demon of the mist. He went rogue some time ago and murdered Kirigakure's last kage, which gave him quite the reputation of being an S-Class rogue ninja."
"He's also part of the mission." Kakashi added in a crucial tone, turning his gaze to Sin. "I fear we might have to rely on your swordsman skills to take him down if we complete our mission."
Sin raised an eyebrow at the copycat ninja. "Is he that good?"
Kakashi answered with a sigh. "He uses a mist jutsu to cloud his surroundings, which almost got us if we hadn't planned ahead. However, we're deeper in wave country and posing more danger to the client."
"Because there is so much water around us." Anko added, getting a nod from the man before smirking at the immortal. "I don't see a problem since we've got this hunk with white hair with us."
Sin didn't listen to her, as he was pondering with Kakashi's information on how to counter someone that uses mist jutsu to hide his presence. All eyes were on him now, yet their gazes didn't faze him a bit since it was a bad habit to ignore the world when thinking deeply.
"Best thing to do is use gusts of wind to disperse the mist." He told himself, unfazed by the snake mistress holding his arm while Kakashi and his team shivered at the idea of Anko having desires of Sin.
"You're starting to smoke up there." Anko giggled, flicking Sin on the head to bring him back to the real world.
Sin blinked a couple of times while new faces appeared out of the shack to greet them. He quickly met Tazuna, his daughter Tsunami and his grandson Inari before taking another moment to think about what their best tactic should be since the mission consisted of getting the bridge built between countries. He sighed in defeat after seeing how incapacitated Kakashi was and motioned Naruto and Hinata to follow him deeper into the woods.
"Where are you going?" Kurenai asked in confusion.
"Kakashi," Sin turned back to the weakened ninja. "Is this Zabuza active?"
Kakashi shook his head. "I have reason to believe that the hunter-nin that we encountered is actually with Zabuza. I mistaken them for hunting him but realized they used senbon to stop him."
"Hunter-nin don't use senbon." Kurenai commented hatefully, crossing her arms at him. "Really Kakashi, you've gotten slow over the years."
Kakashi sweatdropped at the woman for her patronizing of his skills as a jounin while she decided to follow Sin and his students, leaving everyone confused and a little irritated at how cold they could be.
"We'll be training." Sin said to Tazuna as politely as he could, though with Sasuke now eager to follow and spy on them. "Rest up while you can, because as soon as Kakashi heals, we're going to the bridge and you're going to get it built, come hell or high water."
"What about Zabuza?" Tazuna slightly panicked. "He's not someone you want to cross."
Sin stopped to stare at the man, his aura radiating on command. "That makes two of us."
With that said everyone but Kurenai and the two promising genin were left either unsure or troubled by the man's words as he tried to walk away. However, something unfamiliar struck the man's keen sense of energy and he pinpointed the source in silence. He expected it to be another ninja in hiding or an enemy waiting to strike, but the source of dark power was coming from none other than Naruto, and he seemed to be unaware of the energy seeping off his body.
"Naruto, you okay?"
"Yeah," Naruto responded in his chipper tone. "Why do you ask?"
Sin stared at the boy before hearing a womanly voice boom inside his head, a voice he would soon come to understand. It took a few moments for Sin to regain his composure and resume his desire to train his two students, which he had hoped to do privately, but alas, even the cold-hearted red-eyed ice queen took deep interest even when he acted so strange after hearing the voice die out with four exact words that he felt were meant for him.
"YOU WILL BE MINE!"
Inside the Woods
Naruto and Hinata dropped the heavier set of their clothing and switched into the training set Sin built a few weeks back to up their work. Naruto picked himself up after putting on the shoes provided while Hinata was already standing in front of her Sensei and bowing in respect of him. Sadly the silent moments they had each time was now watched by Kurenai with her cold stare on the man as he waited for Naruto to pick up the pace.
"So we're getting ready for the fight against Zabuza?" Naruto asked, getting a grin from his teacher.
"Yup, we're going to the next level of training." Sin told his students, making both of them grin eagerly since they knew what it meant. "You both have upped your strength and speed to my standards, so now I'm going to teach you ninjutsu."
Although Sin was happy to finally teach his students some deadly techniques, he took into consideration from reading in the library whenever he was alone how the method of magic and ninjutsu was different. However, that didn't mean he had to teach them the same way a ninja would when he spent days finding the answer to the loophole of using hand-signs to for them to mold chakra. He could only hope that it would work on them. If not, then he would have to fake the hand-signs and perfect molding his techniques the same way ninja would with chakra to properly teach his students.
"Hold out your hands." He commanded and immediately placed his in each hand before channeling his magic carefully through their bodies. The pain came in various stings throughout the two teenagers for minutes until Sin stopped chanting under his breath and removed his hands from theirs.
"Looks like it worked." Sin chuckled happily, bewildering the two. "So there is only one thing left to do now."
Naruto, Hinata, and Kurenai narrowed their gazes on Sin and watched as he turned around and motioned his hands down to his stomach and up to his throat in a dancing motion. They watched and waited for him to start teaching until he opened his mouth and roared at the furthest tree in the training. A blasting breath of blue fire shot out of the man's mouth and soared towards the tree before exploding with all three of them covering their eyes from the scorching heat. When they could finally open their eyes, the female jounin and two genin gawked at the tree that was once there, now burnt to nothingness with only a gaping hole in the ground and said flames slowly dying out.
Sin turned around to his students with a proud grin on his face while Naruto and Hinata berated him with questions.
"How did you do that!?" was the first question he understood and silenced the two with a raise of his hand.
"I focused my energy throughout my body and magnified it." Sin answered, knowing only Kurenai may have the expertise to understand what he meant. Thankfully she did, but that didn't mean he was out of the water with how he did it.
"With no hand-signs?" She questioned, making him laugh, albeit nervously since he had to lie now and fast.
"Well. . . " He paused before finding the lie he needed. "The hand-signs are just a method you rely on. True technique revolves around performing it in an instant. If you can do that, then you'd be almost unstoppable.
Please fall for it. . .
Kurenai took a minute to think before smiling and nodding at him.
"I suppose there is since many ninja have performed jutsu without hand-signs."
Thank god she fell for it.
Naruto tugged Sin's wrist to get his attention. "And just how are we supposed to do that to our chakra?"
"Simple," Sin chirped, ruffling the boy's hair. "You concentrate the chakra in your body to a single point, your throat, and accelerate it until you feel a hot feeling in there and release it."
It was not as simple as Sin had made it, but he gave the boy the easiest idea to producing fire without having to use hand-signs. That didn't mean it would be easy for the jinchurriki to accomplish when he just perfect wind style jutsu thanks to the various scrolls he found in garbage cans and dumpsters over the years. Now he was wishing he could learn that kind of element and grumbling how hard it would be to learn fire style when he was proficient in wind, not to mention fire was basically another opposite to what he was used too.
Both the teacher stood in silence and the blond student decided to try and use such a technique when suddenly an small fire of red, orange and yellow, shot past them and landed on the ground with minimum damage produced, startling not just them but also Kurenai, who was wide-eyed and staring at the girl who just produced a weak fireball on her first try.
Both boys standing next to her were astonished on her accurate accumulation of chakra control and release of the fireball and wondered if maybe she was more of a prodigy than what she let on with her family.
"Hinata," Sin gasped as the shy teenager smiled nervously. "That was really good, but how were you able to do a fireball so quickly?"
It took a few moments for Hinata to get over her nervousness and probably a minute to muster the courage to answer her sensei. She my have been confident in talking to her old sensei and Naruto, but when it came to Sin she was still a fidgety girl who was still intimidated by him.
"I. . . did as you said in concentrating my chakra to my throat, then. . . I imagined my chakra being really hot and began to feel that it was. And when I felt it was right I. . . did it."
She imagined it being hot.
Sin sweatdropped at those words and smiled sheepishly at the girl before patting her head.
Afternoon
It had been a short training session with Sin starting to wonder just how talented his students were. Those few hours that should have been basic fire jutsu training turned into intermediate styles of fire with Naruto not falling far behind his girlfriend in learning how to produce streams, or breaths, of fire that reached past the trees with some use of their chakra. Naruto found that he was better at using what Sin called Dragon's Breath while Hinata was far exceeded him in blasting the area with multiple large fireballs, which left the area scorched and destroyed and two jounin just staring in awe of their progress. Sin was much like Kurenai, calm and collected, but the sheer mass of growth from those two left them wondering if maybe he was taking it too easy with them and needed to make their training much more difficult.
A smile crept on the woman's cheeks as she sat next to Sin in a tree that hadn't been destroyed, holding his arm gently while he groaned and cursed at for his students quick learning.
"Got any other lessons to teach them?" She mocked playfully, making him groan some more.
Sin scoffed at the woman.
"If this keeps up I might as well teach them how manipulate and control the fire to move in whichever direction they want. This should take them days to learn but they're already mastering how to use fire without hand-signs."
He sighed in defeat after they looked up and smiled at him, yelling how easy it was getting to use Dragon's Breath and Dragon's Spit now.
"Looks like they're ready for more." She commented, unknowingly leaning into the man's arm while he contemplated what he should teach them next.
Sin had many students back in the other world and some were very promising, but never in his long life did he expect to have a couple of children best his teachings in such short time. He made warriors, leaders, even healers that couldn't be matched, and now he was wondering if making them the best to exist was an understatement.
Despite the turmoil of his thoughts and emotions, Sin still carried pride and gratitude for being gifted by the shiningami with such kids to teach. Unfortunately, that feeling was lost with the realization of Kurenai having been so close to him the entire time of sitting up in the tree and watching the two genin progress further with ease. He stared at the woman who was watching Hinata happily and saw as the the training went on, her hand slid down to his until their fingers crossed and she held his hand gently.
Wave after wave of emotions, thought after thought of his life before having been thrust into the ninja world, Sin conflicted with his new life with the horrible feeling of his old life and how caring or desiring someone only left a heavily hole in his heart and soul. He had been used and brokenhearted already thanks to his exes putting such paranoia in his mind when they tried to steal his magic in belief that he carried too much power for one person, and it nearly destroyed his thought about the possibility of finding a real lover in this world.
"Kureanai. . ." He tried to escape the grip this woman had on him, but it tightened with her turning to look at him, to look into those pain-ridden eyes that hid more anguish than anyone should carry.
"She hurt you, didn't she?" Kurenai asked, startling him with her gentle tone. "Was it so bad that they broke you?"
Sin looked away and sighed with defeat of her seeing so easily how broken he was and nodded as his answers.
"They hurt me," he answered. "I had more than one, and they thought I was too powerful for my own good. So they tried to take my power away from me and divide it among themselves. So yeah. . . broke is a good analogy."
Sin tried again to escape her grip when suddenly a warm sensation was thrust upon him with a turn of his head by her hand and a touch of his lips. Wet, smooth and oddly warm when he the shock of her actions died and he found that for the first time in generations, he was feeling an actual kiss that didn't numb him. It was real and it was enticing with the touch making his loins rise as she moaned deeply into his mouth without the two genin noticing what was transpiring. Hatred, the burning feeling he had towards intimacy went cold in his chest as Kurenai parted from his lips.
"I know what it means to be broken." She told the man, caressing his hand. "I yearned for Asuma for a long time until I found him with one of the street girls in a house on the east district. So I know what you're feeling."
No. No, she did not know what he was feeling nor could she possibly understand where he was coming from when it came to having a broken heart, and it riled his mind and body to respond with hate and distrust that would either make her hate him or end what it was she thought was going on between them.
He tried, and try hard he did, but his body wouldn't let him act with such haste. He was still, as still as the tree they sat in with those intimidating red eyes beaming into his soul with a warm smile to follow before another kiss was given not by her, but to his own surprise, by him and with ease.
Sin felt a warm sensation in his chest when he felt felt a cold piece of his heart melt. He stopped and looked at her beautiful face, one of the things he had actually taken in after realizing that this world had women who had hearts, had feelings, and thought with them rather than with their heads. He knew he was going to live forever and he didn't want to bring that suffering to another person when they would grow old and die and he would live on, so he decided that the next person he could trust with his secrets was her.
"Kurenai. . ." He was nervous to tell her, but he knew it was necessary. "There's something you need to know."
He then made up his mind, he knew if he didn't tell her it was only going to hurt them in the end, especially her, and the last thing he wanted was to hurt the woman who just gave him what felt like his first kiss with a woman.
"What is it?" Asked Kurenai curiously.
She felt that it was going to be something very important that may change her perspective about him, or something that would change her life.
"I. . . I'm immortal." He stuttered, looking away from her. "I'm over a thousand years old and I can't die from. . . old age."
"Really?"Asked a shocked Kurenai, suddenly giggling and kissing the man's cheek which stunned him.
"Kurenai, this isn't something to be taken lightly." He told her calmly.
"I'm not worried," she chirped. "Because I already know."
It was at that moment the calm and collected demeanor melted into shock and confusion as the woman smiling at him simply giggled. He didn't know what overcame him when she said those words reached under her fishnet shirt and pulled out his file that was supposed to be with the hokage. For the first time in a very long time, he was shocked and knocked of his train of thought.
"The hokage should lock up his desk before he leaves." Kurenai teased, which didn't help. "Also, Tsume and Anko know about it as well."
"You. . .you. . ." Sin was at a loss of words and laughed with her as Naruto and Hinata made their way up to see them by walking up the tree.
"Son of bitch." He wheezed, unable to stop laughing until his two genin joined them.
Sin didn't know if he should understand or be angry with her, but it felt right to simply laugh and enjoy the fact that Kurenai was not giving a damn that he was immortal. But in the end he felt something about this that cursed his life in the ninja world, he felt that a large weight was lifted off his shoulders now that someone other than Sarutobi knew about his curse.
"Don't worry." Kurenai said before kissing his cheek and putting the folder back where it belonged. "We'll keep your little secret. We wouldn't want anyone else to find out."
"Hey sensei!" Naruto barked, pointing at them. "Why are you and Kurenai sensei holding hands?"
They both remained silent for quite some time, enjoying the anticipation of the two genin watching them critically. Kurenai then broke the news as she too could not hold it in any longer.
"Well Naruto, as you can see, he and I have decided to start dating."
Sin was grateful to have her break the news so calmly, but that didn't mean he was out of the water yet.
"What about Anko and Tsume sensei?" Hinata stuttered on the verge of fainting.
"They have to get my approval first." Said Kurenai slyly with a devious grin.
Sin choked on his own breath as the two women Hinata questioned about came into view and landed on the same tree with jealousy written all over their faces, making the situation much worse after they moved the two kids aside and towered over their friend.
"WHAT THE FUCK KURENAI!?" They roared, making her laugh.
"Why have been cursed like this?" Sin asked himself a little worriedly as he watched the three women unfold in a conversation of yelling and then laughing together in the end.
"So Kurenai got to you first," Anko drawled with her signature smile, which made the man sweat profusely. "Well you better keep an eye open, because I'm next on getting those lips, and possibly those pants."
"Not if I get to them first." Tsume added, which broke the straw on the camel's back.
With those words replaying in his mind, Sin did the only thing he felt was absolutely necessary to avoid anymore problems. He stood up from Kurenai's grasp and bolted out of the tree with a dust cloud behind him while the three women proceeded to chase him like hungry hounds.
"I'm out of here!"
With the three ice queens laughing and taunting Sin as they chased him, Naruto and Hinata were left alone to their own thoughts as the noise died out.
"Want to continue training?" Naruto asked, only to get a devious smile from his girlfriend as she leaned into him.
"Sensei's training or our training? Hinata asked coyly, nipping her boyfriend's neck.
