Joey believes death is part of life, he identifies more with Rorschach than the others and as such is mentored by the man while officially the Comedian's counterpart
Matthew has great power of unknown origins, his mentor struggles to divine which possible origin is most accurate much to his befuddlement.
Carly is much like Mike with great power linked to artifacts tied to the same event, her family claiming that his family was responsible for the legendary tragedy
Max Titus, alias Billy, is a rather unhinged yet brilliant boy who was chosen to lead the new Watchmen after aiding in their escape and saving his hometown from those who had capture both generations.
