Midoriya was nervous as he held the two tickets in his hand. Don't get nervous. It's fine. He reassured himself. He then went over to Nejire who was sitting on a bench outside of the dormitories.
"H-Hey! N-Nejire!" He waved.
"Oh, heya! Watcha doing?" Nejire asked, looking up from her book.
"O-Oh, I-I, uh-" Midoriya was cut off by Nejire.
"What are the tickets for?" She questioned.
"O-Oh, I-I, uh, was going to the movies and I was wondering if you wanted to come." He told her before quickly adding on. "I asked Mirio, b-but he's, uh, busy..." That was a lie, he didn't ask Mirio but he didn't want to sound desperate, which he was.
"Oh! Sure! What movie? What time? What genre?" Nejire asked him, getting a little closer to him, making him turn pink.
"O-Oh! U-Uh, it's a horror movie. It starts at 6:30. You can meet me outside of the movie theater that's only a few minutes away from campus. You know- the one by the lake?" He told her, gaining a little more confidence.
"Alright! Here's my number, you can text me when you're ready and we can walk together!" Nejire said while taking and putting in her number.
"O-Oh, o-okay!" Midoriya agreed, happily.
"Alright, it's a date!" Nejire joked as she walked back to her dorm. Midoriya was full on red now.
Midoriya texted Nejire, asking if she was ready. They both walked to the movie, talking and laughing. Nejire was wearing a beautiful, casual dress and casual black flats. Before meeting up with Nejire, he was worried. He hated horror movies, they were scary, but the only reason he chose that was so maybe Nejire would find comfort in being with him. He started to wonder if it was worth it and if and if Nejire felt that way. The moment Nejire arrived, his doubts disappeared. Definitely worth it. She looked beautiful.
"So, we're here, are you hungry?" Midoriya asked.
"No, I'm okay! Thanks though." Nejire told him. "Let's get seats!"
After they chose the perfect seats, the movie started. Midoriya was freaking out because of how scary the movie was, but it was worth it every time Nejire got scared because eventually, she asked to hold his hand. He, of course, agreed. Every time she got scared, she would squeeze his hand, reminding him this was real. He didn't even pay attention to the movie, only Nejire.
When the movie was over, they decided to go back to the dormitories because it was getting l.
"Thank you for coming, Nejire."
"Thank you for inviting me, we should do this again!" Nejire exclaimed before calling down. "I really liked this..." She said before kissing him on the cheek. "Bye!" She waved as she walked back to the dorms, leaving a red and speechless Izuku.
