Hey everyone! I know it's been a while and I'm really sorry. I don't really have an excuse for not updating considering I tend to write a few chapters ahead of time. Hopefully I won't let school and work get in my way as much. Well here is the next chapter, I hope you enjoy it!

Disclaimer: I don't own Hellsing or any of the characters (Ugh I totally wish I did though)

Chapter 5

(Three months later)

Arthur was in his study looking over documents when someone knocked on his door. "Come in." He said, not looking up from his papers. The door to his study opened and William walked through the door. Arthur flipped through the documents on his desk and grabbed a pen. He then signed the document and added it to a pile on his desk. "Sir Hellsing. I'm sorry to bother you so suddenly." William started as Arthur grabbed another document. "However, this just came in the mail for you." He finished, holding out the strange envelope with only Arthur's name on it. Arthur stopped half way through signing his name to look up.

Arthur looked at the envelopes closely. He quickly finished signing his name and placing the signed document with the others. He then turned towards William and reached out for the envelope. William quietly gave it to him and waited patiently. Arthur slowly opened it and found two folded letters in side. One was white and the other was pink. Curious he pulled out the pink paper and opened it up. As he did he immediately recognized the hand writing.

The writing was neatly written in cursive. 'Strange… why would she send me a letter now?' he thought. He slowly began to read the letter.

Dear Arthur,

If your reading this then that must mean something has happened to me. I know it must seem strange, receiving a letter from me after all these years. However, there is something important that I must tell you. Not long after parting ways I learned that I was pregnant with your child. I didn't know how to tell you or what to do… A part of me was afraid of how you would react. So, I decided instead to say nothing and raise our child alone. Her name is Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing. She's a beautiful young girl that reminds me so much of you. I'm writing this in case something happens to me in hopes that you will look after her.

Love,

Lillian Wingates

Arthur swallowed hard as he finished reading. 'I have a daughter… and this letter… Lillian… does this mean she's…' Arthur couldn't bear to finish the thought. Instead he neatly folded the letter back up and placed it in one of his desk drawers. William looked at his master with slight worry. 'Whatever was in that letter must have really bothered him.' He thought. Arthur then reached out for the other letter with shaky hands. He then closed his eyes, preparing for the worst, before opening it. The writing in the second letter was obviously typed.

Dear Hellsing

We regret to inform you that Miss Lillian Wingates has passed away. She died in a fiery car crash a few days ago. This leaves you as Miss Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing's guardian. However, we understand if you do not wish to take the girl in, as we have been informed that you knew nothing of her birth. Please give us a call to inform us of your decision as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Arthur couldn't finish reading the letter. The grief was too much. 'Oh Lilian… I can't believe you're gone.' He thought as tears ran down his face. "Lord Hellsing…" William called with worry, noticing the tears dropping on to the letter his master was holding. "Get me the phone Please William…" Arthur replied his voice quiet and full of emotion. "Of course, sir." William said quietly before walking across the room to grab the cordless phone. He quickly walked back over to Arthur and handed him the phone. Arthur dialed a number as quickly as he could with shaky hands and tried to calm himself down.

"Hello?" A feminine voice answered from the other side of the phone. Arthur took a deep, shaky breath before speaking. "Ah yes Hello this is Arthur Hellsing…" He said. "Ah yes Sir Hellsing It's good to hear from you." The lady announced cheerfully making Arthur wince. "I'm guessing your calling about your daughter Miss Integra." She stated. "Yes I am... I have decided to take her in. After all she is my daughter and I just wouldn't feel right if I abandoned her…" He replied. "Yes, I understand. When would you like us to drop her off?" The lady asked. "Any time after twelve will be fine. I'll have my butler William meet her at the door." Arthur answered. "Very well Sir Hellsing. We'll get her ready and drop her off some time after noon." She said before hanging up.

Arthur sighed and handed the phone to William. William took the phone without question and walked over to the other side of the office to put it back. He then returned to Arthur's side. "Should I start preparing a room sir?" He asked quietly. "Yes, please William." He replied, then as an afterthought he said, "Oh and will you check on Your bother while you're at it and make sure that he isn't straining himself." "Yes Sir. Of course." William said before taking his leave.

(A few hours later with Walter)

Walter moved around the kitchen gathering supplies needed to make Arthur's lunch. Walter whistled as he worked, crimson eyes lazily watching his every move (A.N Guess who). He took a tray from the cabinet then grabbed a plate, a small saucer, and a tea cup. Crimson eyes watched as Walter placed the plate on the left of the tray and the Saucer to the right. He then placed the cup upside down on the saucer before placing the tea pot and sugar cubes in the middle.

The owner of the Crimson eyes tilted their head slightly when Walter tossed him (her) ingredients for a sandwich. "What do you want me to do with this?" he (she) asked looking over a pack of ham. "Alucard if you're going to sit in here and watch me the least you could do is help." Walter answered as he searched for a napkin made of cloth. "Once you finish making the sandwich cut it in half diagonally." Walter told Alucard. Alucard sighed and began to make a sandwich for his (her) master. 'How do I always get pulled in to his chores? Could it be I feel guilty for leaving him behind and letting him get hurt so bad? Hmph like that will ever happen.' Alucard thought with a laugh.

As Alucard worked on the sandwich Walter found what he was looking for, placing it beside the tea cup and saucer. He then opened the drawer next to him and grabbed a spoon. Then he placed the spoon on top of the napkin. "Done." Alucard announced suddenly causing Walter to turn and look. "Ah thank you Alucard. I appreciate the help." Walter responded before grabbing the sandwich and placing it on top of the plate.

Walter then slipped his hand under the tray and lifted it up. "Alucard do me a favor and put all of that back up." Walter said as he started towards the door way. "Sure." Alucard responded with a sigh and stood up from his (her) seat. Walter then left the kitchen and headed up the stairs. He walked down the hall heading to Arthur's study.

Walter stopped in the door way of the study. "Knock, knock." Walter said in order to grab Arthur's attention. Arthur looked up from the stack of papers on his desk and then his watch. "Lunch time already?" Arthur questioned as he put down his pen and stood up from his chair. Walter took this time to walk in and place the tray down on the coffee table in front of a red sofa.

Arthur plopped down on the sofa and leaned back with a content sigh. Walter placed the sandwich in front of Arthur before flipping the tea cup over. He then poured tea into the cup and added two cubes of sugar to it. Walter then took the spoon and stirred the tea before placing it back on the napkin. He then took the tea cup and saucer, and handed it to Arthur.

Arthur sat up straight, "thank you, Walter." He said as he took the cup of tea from Walter. Arthur then lifted the cup to his mouth and took a sip of his tea. "Perfect as always." Arthur commented with a smile. "Glad you like it sir." Walter responded with a bow. The room soon became engrossed in silence before Arthur decided to say something.

"Walter I need to tell you something." Arthur said seriously as he placed his tea on the table. "What is it sir?" Walter questioned with slight worry. "Well I never told you this but I have a daughter. She has been living with her mother for the last four years, but just recently her mother died." Arthur started leaving out a few details. "I wanted to tell you beforehand that my daughter will be staying here from now on starting today. I also wanted to lay down some ground rules." He informed. "I only have two, don't smoke or cuss in front of my daughter if you can help it." Arthur finished.

'Aguh, again with the smoking restrictions.' Walter thought with a look that said, give me a break. "I understand sir." Walter responded with a sigh. "Would you like me to get a room ready for her." Walter asked Arthur. "No I just want you to rest." Arthur replied as he narrowed his eyes at his 14 year old butler.

Walter caught the warning tone in his voice but ignored it. "Then I shall rest until the meeting sir." Walter said with a bow before leaving. 'I've created a 14-year-old under aged smoking, undead fighting, sailor mouthed, workaholic butler.' Arthur thought with a sigh. 'I really hope he won't be a bad influence on Integra. How did he end up like this any way?' he thought. 'Maybe it was Alucard's influence… I should really do something about that vampire soon.'

Walter walked down the hall to his room. When he reached it he opened the door to find Alucard, on his bed, reading one of his books. "Alucard why are you in my room?" Walter asked as he walked in and closed the door. "There is no reason really." Alucard answered as he (she) flipped a page. Walter smirked he knew Alucard was lying and had a good guess as to the truth. "Let me guess sir Hellsing told you to stay out of sight?" Walter questioned as he stared Alucard down.

Alucard looked up from the book he (she) was reading and growled. Walter chuckled and leaned back against his door. "So I was right." Walter said smugly. "Shut up." Alucard growled as he (she) slammed the book shut and tossed it behind him (her) on the bed. "I bet you're wondering why." Walter said as he looked at his friend.

"Do you know why?" Alucard asked suddenly interested. Walter turned and opened his door slightly. He looked down both ends of the hall then closed the door and looked at Alucard. He motioned for Alucard to come which surprisingly he (she) did. "Sir Hellsing's daughter is coming today. She will be staying here from now on." Walter whispered to the vampire. "Ah I see that's why. He is afraid I will scare her or something." Alucard muttered.

"More than likely." Walter agreed as he walked past Alucard and over to his bed. He picked up the book and moved to place it on his desk. "Don't let what I just told you slip. You were not supposed to know." Walter told Alucard as he turned around. "Now please leave so I may rest." Walter said as he walked over to his bed. Alucard grumbled before turning around and opening the door. Alucard then walked out and closed the door behind him (her). Walter watched Alucard leave before he lay down on his bed and fell asleep.

Well that's it for this chapter. Tell me what you think. Good? Bad? What? Let me know. (Little Integra appears in the next chapter.)
